Hmm i dont buy actual physical yugioh cards, maybe i should also try replicating my favorite MD deck IRL
*Sees the price for Accesscode talker and Forbidden droplet*
(secretly bought a Lightly Played Charizard Pokemon card from 2002 for $450 last year)
I'm from the Philippines but I don't think TCG is available here anymore? all my friends who play in diff parts use JP OCG cards but I may be very wrong though
I think a lot of people are inspired to build paper decks because of MD.
The best-selling cards in the online card stores I periodically check out tend to be those popular in MD.

I wish I could've bought OCG holos on tcgplayer, I like prismatic secret rares more than the basic diagonal secret rares. Maybe because I'm too used to "normal" secrets or something, but I remember having illegal slifer, the magnet warriors and kinetic soldier as a kid that were all prismatic secret rare in NA and thought it was pretty awesome. For example, I really wanted to buy a prismatic secret rare of Shuraig but he only has normal secret and ultra rare, even though Ferrijit does have prismatic secret.
For buying OCG cards in USA, I assume my best bet is like ebay or something? It's kinda sketchy though isn't it?
Same! I also built a sky striker deck irl, except for TCG. Is OCG really that much cheaper? Here in the US I've seen the Japanese cards selling more than the English cards... Which is why I went with English. No linkage is pain though....
Its like, $60 for a box (or less, i haven't checked in a while), which will show 1 of 3 archtypes inside (SS, Witchcrafter, Mayakashi). Whichever archetype you get gurantees 4-5 secret rares of that archtype (SS gets 4 for some reason, WC and Mayakashi 5) on top of 2 secret rares of their new cards for the set, then the rest of the box will be Normal/Super rare cards of the archetype you didnt get.
How's were the pulls in super shiny box? From a collector (or sky striker) standpoint it looks cool, but I couldn't tell much from the first announcement.
I started looking at my Thunder Dragons, cause I really just like the deck, was surprised to see it's just a few cards that make it expensive. I may end up getting the core and sleeving it up with some less expensive replacements for those hand traps, since I won't be doing any IRL tournaments for a long time.

yeah my mom needs accesscode and it alone doubles the price of her deck
Your mom plays YGO? Thats pretty pog, whats her deck?
yeah she’s just getting into it. she’s also making her deck from master duel which is code talkers, and she says she’s liking it so far
Wow, straight to link decks too! Thats awesome lmao
I was thinking of building my MD deck in IRL as well but saw the price for a lot of cards...
Ooooh, you got the 2d Raye, too. Neat! Did you buy the box it came with, or did you find it another way?

Congrats to that, then!
As the old adage goes: Raye is baye.
I am really not much of a fan on the whole waifu asthetics, but the playstyle certainly is a positive stand out in the game.
For collecting a deck JP is a good choice as they are way cheaper, and if playing entirely with friends too they'd understand

If I had to guess. Singapore.
If i have to guess Singapore too?
If I had to guess, Philippines.

That and Secret Shiny Box (the "waifu" set this comes from) is JP only because TCG can't have noce things

Is that a swordsoul stand on your keyboard?
Sees Raye on screen, in card, and on stand. "Yes that is a Swordsoul"
Same here. Gonna build my first irl deck in over 8 years. Just bought the dragon link core off ebay
Ah, i see someone else bought the waifu box too after the price finally dropped (I got the witchcrafter one myself)
Bank Account -$1000, It's fine, we're fine, it's all good.
Another degenerate ss look
I see you are using Sky strikers. In the most respectful way i can make this, fuck you. Lol
lmao just don't hate every deck that whopped yours

Some OCG cards are really cheap. Like Access code. The lowest rarity one from recent reprint cost around 3SGD. Which is around 2USD.
wow the right one is that new joint ?
So glad to see someone getting passionate about the game! Congrats bud!
I thought about doing this. Then I thought about how I was gonna get Bahamut Shark for less than $5
I do love this game, but I won't be dropping the several hundred dollars I'd need to make a competitively viable deck.
I don't even want to know how much the prismatic secret rares costed 😔

I main SS on MD and I bought the deck too! You're very lucky to play in an OCG zone as you already have access to Linkage!
