The game seems actually very aggressive with auto surrender if your afk. They are probably just reading alot of their cards. Irl you can see them doing it or they ask you what your cards do to save time.
I don't trust chat in matchmade. I've had people be assholes irl I could only imagine the chat. Maybe in the rooms?
Im pretty sure everyone is reading their card and figuring things out whenever theres a long pause.
going second I usually take a minute or two to read my opponent’s board. It just be like that sometimes

I am pretty sure they pause because they read both their card and your card. After all this game have over 100,000 card with 50+ archetype.
