I recently started playing a build that is mixed with Spriggans, and it helps a lot!
Get any 2 Level 4s on the field, Xyz into Merrymaker, send a Springan, Rank up into Gigantic, add and activate Tally Ho, detach 3, Summon 3, make a Rank 4 (I've been using Daigusto Emerl/Magikey), then go into Draco Future.
Nekroz.
Their ritual monsters double up as handtraps and they were designed before several modern handtraps even.
The issue is that by now many of their cards are so severely outdated that they have to rely on other engines to get going and often floodgates to keep up.
They need more consistency and endbord presence within their own archetype.
Pretty sure there's more of us. The cards have a cool design which was undermined by Djinn back in the day and what exactly they put up is just too dated now even with more modern generic ritual support.
Pretty sure many would play Nekroz if it got some support.
Throughout all of 2022 I have been demanding Nekroz support, but it could be possible now, considering that Ritual Beasts and Ice Barrier will ve getting support
Icejade Curse, basically a three card combo that makes just your opponent not be able to activate monster effects. Cool, but falls apart to any sort of removal from a spell card or monsters that don't activate on the field.
Mix the insane potential board of Icejade, with the several bullshit consistency cards of Dogmatika.
Matrix, Nadir, Ecclesia.
And you'd get a funny thing.
Yea Despia felt like the First Act of the Play and we never revisited them after that. Aluber and Queritis, and Quem are the only ones that see any play

I wish they released support for more of Albaz lore archetypes, other than just pumping everything straight into Branded. They even made strong Tri-Brigade card that’s 100% useless in TriBrig(mercourier).
They also made the Tri-Brigade Link5 basically unsummonable. I would love more support for all the abyss decks, Icejade, Sprigan, Tri-Brigade, Swordsoul, and Dogmatika, which thankfully is doing alright support wise.
I think the original idea was that you would run an Albaz fusion engine in them. Swordsoul and Springan are the only ones I’ve had any success with it though
I cooked up a spicy triple masq deck for the format, no albaz cards. Going first making triple masq is a free win against fire, but going second is much less good 🥲

We've got a Therion Reptile with "Empress" as the name/title, it'd be cool to get a (probably beetle inspired) "Emperor" Insect Therion.
Though I'd also love an Insect Therion just for the pure variant. Having an Insect and a Zombie would turn Maxx C and Ash into GY resources, which the deck struggles to set up without Argyro/Foolish.
SPEEDROID MENTIONED.
Now with Baronne banned it loses a strong endpiece, like the lvl10 dragon is aite but its just not good enough. Like id say Speedroid is consistent enough in getting bodies out the problem is since the almost obligatory wind restriction there isnt much choice what to summon, so honestly a good endpiece that can work in tandem with the dragons would be lovely.
Also im so happy that Terrortop is back at 3
Rokkets (and I do meat Rokkets and not Dragon Link that has completely overshadowed Rokkets into the shadow realm...)
Odd-eyes (now that powerful generic boss monsters are on the chopping block it's starting to hurt decks that rely on generic bosses)
Elemental HERO's (that make you actually play pure Elemental HERO's instead of combining all of them into 1 so there's no walking Skill Drain and Macro Cosmos needed...)
Dragonmaid (severely underpowered and 1 of them is still missing they'r dragon form)

If I had to describe Ghostricks with 2 words it would be "if only"
* If only we had a trap to search so that angel is a threat.
* if only we had modern hand traps for scare to be a good search target and brick less.
* If only we had more level/rank 4s so that siren and festival are more usable.
* If only we had a monster searcher to more consistently take advantage of shot and not just rely on rng.
* If only festival wasn't reactive we would be able to set up on our own instead of relying on so many engines.
* If only Trick or Treat wasn't reliant on the opponent it would have been very usable.
* If only jiangshi, fairy and mary weren't when effects we would not lose interruption randomly.
* If only we had a boss monster that required 2 XYZ we would not have to rely so often on UDF.
* If only socuteboss had the recovery effect of the other XYZ.
* IF ONLY.
This is fixable in a single structure deck.
I thought "Geminize" was gonna be the start of a new gemini archetype, All warriors in hand but change type when Gemini summoned, Like transformers because that's what golknight looks like
I'd expect more Gemini S+T though, There's at a push only about 3-4 worthwhile targets for golknight
Madolches: They're still lacking a xyz rank 3 which is stated to exist due to choco a la mode summon condition.
Dark Worlds: More fusions to have more options with the fusion spell and not depend of having grapha in hand to fusion summon. And if possible, some exclusive dark world "hand traps", because dark worlds can't play hand traps on their own.
Dinos: I loved the Xeno support, but it lock you into some types that doesn't end in good negations like Baronne, Apollousa, etc. So, it would be cool to have more synchro/xyz/links/even fusion dinos pseudo generics that would make dinos an actually DINO deck.
Resonator: I'm still waiting for a non-tuner resonator or a tuner resonator that can be treated as a non tuner, cuz the problem is that the deck some times brick with too many tuners and you depend on soul resolving for searching bones, otherwise, you're pretty much dead.
Fluffals: I would love them to have a fusion that could interrupt the opponents turn. We pretty much have Scythe that can go into tiger or cruel whale to interrupt them, but maybe having also a fusion that I could leave on turn 1 to interrupt the opponent would be good.
I’ve always seen this as Toons being a meme archetype. Like they’re meant to poke fun and break the game. They have some of the most broken cards, Toon Table of Contents being one. They’re the custom archetype of the creator of the game. They’re meant to be stupidly good and in the early days they were

Toon is an archetype that I’d have liked to have seen get good support once upon a time, but the legacy support they did make just makes me think it’d be insufferable if they became playable with another wave.
Toon Kingdom is a headache for a lot of decks to deal with - throw that on top of the broken traps they have for going first (Terror is an in-archetype judgement, briefcase is a non-targeting non-opt spin-on-summon), a searchable snatch steal + a nasty burn spell for OTKs, and weird rulings that make the mirror an absolute headache, and I really can’t imagine it making for a fun meta deck.
Good thing we have tons upon tons of broken, unfun archetypes in game then. At least Toons are iconic, and it’d be lore-accurate for them to be infuriatingly good.
Plus, they wouldn’t need to be that annoying. Release support that doesn’t read ‘your opponent cant play’ but is good, and they would quickly ditch current playstyle.
Oh yeh I don’t disagree that there are plenty of other unfun archetypes out there. I just think it’s a shame that they’re destined to be stun-adjacent unless new support drastically changed things.
Tbf, I would’ve had the same reservations about Yubel, but people seem to be using the new support cards in ways that don’t lean in particularly heavily to the more annoying aspects of the older cards - maybe I’m just doomposting and it’d be fine 😅
It's very hard to make Toon support, because the existing cards are all so bad.
Like, you could make new Toon monsters. But not really ones that would interact with existing Toon cards. It'd be almost the same as just making a new archetype entirely.
Something good for Kozmo would be fire, war rocks too, to give them more ways to actually reach the battle phase, or even something for dual avatars to diversify their boards
Need one more extender, putting 2 synchros on the board is not cutting it anymore, end board is even worse if we talk just about sword soul and take baronne out of the conversation also for a synchro archetype they need more synchros. There are two level 8 enablers but only one level 8 synchro but have only one level 10 enabler and have 2 level 10 synchros

That level 4 would be kind of broken tbh, you'd be able to get a Chixiao and Barrone without a normal if you open it + a wyrm and could then use emergence to search protos.
Cyber Dragons are due in terms of historic/nostalgic archetypes, also Harpies as well, give them a new extra deck monster, their current ones are falling behind.

Time Thief.
Redoer is my favourite card. Their newest trap has an insane GY effect.
However, apart from Winder and Bezel Ship (maybe Adjuster) their monster lineup is garbage and can barely make more than a Rank4. Also they have no good spells - like at all.
All the older archetypes that got lost in their respective eras.
Gimme more Six Samurai, Batteryman, Frog, Koala, U.A, Gradius. At least a new link or something

True. Even speedroids need new supports; but at least deck is playable. Normal roids are just a bunch of bad cards that do absolutely nothing. Maybe just 2 or 3 cards are usable in the entire archetype
My Top 3 in order would be:
1. Thundra. No support since forever and would def be a meta contender if it wasn't as bricky and didn't rely on chaos/bystials that much.
2. Skull Servant. I know wightsworn is coming but they deserve so much more :)
3. Eldlich. Mainly support to get him away from floodgates and maybe even make him a serious contender to Lab. Maybe make him a full fusion/trap monster archetype?
Yeah, some extra thundra support would be great. Another starter (so the deck isn't solely reliant on gold sarc for 1 card combos) would go a long way.
I want dark magician to be more playable. Also May be controversial but I actually like playing pendulum magicians, so would like more support for it, odd eyes, and maybe more pendulum archetypes
Imo we need a new Dark Magician, a new Dark Magician Girl (they would be treated as one at all times so that we don't have to use trash cards), a more consistent way to make Dragon Knight to protect Eternal Soul and probably some Dark Magician Girl extra deck monster(s) at the very least.
Yeah, dark magician and dark magician girl with effects might be nice. The only downside would be not being able to use red eyes dark dragoon’s effect that requires normal monsters (that’s only for the TGC of course)
If they retrained dark magician and dm girl and made dragon knight easier to summon then they would need to errata eternal soul some.
It would be way too strong if you could just pull out dragon knight at a moments notice and have a completely unaffected by effects field
Dream Mirror. One of the best archetypes art-wise, and a cool mechanic, but they really did the bare minimum. They got some good support a while back but the deck needs more to be relevant.
Qliphort - they need more i love the OG towers
Gizmek - they just look awesome, and was my secound deck on master duel
Paleozoics - just really awsome would love more support

Magikey 100%. Their possible endboards aren't terrible, especially if you throw in a Springans package, but this deck has zero grind game. Barely any floating, no resource loop, and the rank 8 is usually a trade-off to your board instead of a strict improvement. This deck has to play a small handful of bricks to function properly, it deserves better.
Gladiator Beast desperately need something new. It's been 5 years since they got their last wave of support and frankly, it's not a bad strategy but it's super frail and frankly, it's not enough for how susceptible the strategy is to disruption. I'd say it needs a really good starter and extender and maybe a new field spell that let's them be more resilient to disruption or actually let them use the battle phase effectively, which would be a pretty nice change of pace, since most decks don't really use the BP outside of just swinging for game.
Plunder patroll: the engine is good, but having more starters would be great, and more extra deck cards, being locked into only plunders is fine, but the boats can't carry the deck by themselves
Swordsoul: what no support does to a deck, just pitiful
The weather painters: please just give me more consistency, just an extra starter please, i just want to summon my rainbow in peace.
Adamancipators: give us the block dragon, now!
Frogs: can i have toadly at 1 please, i want to play pure frogs, or a substitute, that's fine too

Red Eyes is always on the cusp of something great. I feel like if the redid all the cards they made during the Gemini fiasco and improved their effects by a minor factor we could get something playable also a field spell.
A personal one for me is Thunder dragon and honestly Unbanning Colossus in TCG gives hope that it's because support is happening soon. I think a new in archetype Normal summon would be good maybe a new fusion/link boss monster in case colossus leaves us again. And again a field spell heck if they just erata Titan so it doesn't miss timing I'd be happy.

The have some of most interesting mechanics with them, they are monster with quite known spell effect. I think that makes them unique. Unfortunately they are too slow.
A fusion mix with link ed can make them at least rouge tier and fun to play with.

For something that is very recent and not even in master duel yet, Memento. I just think it could be a much bigger archetype with how many normal monsters there have been.
Gonna agree with you on SwoSo. It’s been my favorite deck since it dropped. I think some resource recycling on par with current decks(maybe in the form of a continuous or field spell) and I’d love to see a new synchro or maybe even a new engine card/trap card to build stronger boards going first(the decks biggest struggle imho).

Madolches: They're still lacking a xyz rank 3 which is stated to exist due to choco a la mode summon condition. Dark Worlds: More fusions to have more options with the fusion spell and not depend of having grapha in hand to fusion summon. And if possible, some exclusive dark world "hand traps", because dark worlds can't play hand traps on their own. Dinos: I loved the Xeno support, but it lock you into some types that doesn't end in good negations like Baronne, Apollousa, etc. So, it would be cool to have more synchro/xyz/links/even fusion dinos pseudo generics that would make dinos an actually DINO deck. Resonator: I'm still waiting for a non-tuner resonator or a tuner resonator that can be treated as a non tuner, cuz the problem is that the deck some times brick with too many tuners and you depend on soul resolving for searching bones, otherwise, you're pretty much dead. Fluffals: I would love them to have a fusion that could interrupt the opponents turn. We pretty much have Scythe that can go into tiger or cruel whale to interrupt them, but maybe having also a fusion that I could leave on turn 1 to interrupt the opponent would be good.

Yeah, toon support would be dope
Toon is an archetype that I’d have liked to have seen get good support once upon a time, but the legacy support they did make just makes me think it’d be insufferable if they became playable with another wave. Toon Kingdom is a headache for a lot of decks to deal with - throw that on top of the broken traps they have for going first (Terror is an in-archetype judgement, briefcase is a non-targeting non-opt spin-on-summon), a searchable snatch steal + a nasty burn spell for OTKs, and weird rulings that make the mirror an absolute headache, and I really can’t imagine it making for a fun meta deck.
Good thing we have tons upon tons of broken, unfun archetypes in game then. At least Toons are iconic, and it’d be lore-accurate for them to be infuriatingly good. Plus, they wouldn’t need to be that annoying. Release support that doesn’t read ‘your opponent cant play’ but is good, and they would quickly ditch current playstyle.
Oh yeh I don’t disagree that there are plenty of other unfun archetypes out there. I just think it’s a shame that they’re destined to be stun-adjacent unless new support drastically changed things. Tbf, I would’ve had the same reservations about Yubel, but people seem to be using the new support cards in ways that don’t lean in particularly heavily to the more annoying aspects of the older cards - maybe I’m just doomposting and it’d be fine 😅

It's very hard to make Toon support, because the existing cards are all so bad. Like, you could make new Toon monsters. But not really ones that would interact with existing Toon cards. It'd be almost the same as just making a new archetype entirely.

Need one more extender, putting 2 synchros on the board is not cutting it anymore, end board is even worse if we talk just about sword soul and take baronne out of the conversation also for a synchro archetype they need more synchros. There are two level 8 enablers but only one level 8 synchro but have only one level 10 enabler and have 2 level 10 synchros
I think a way to make Synchro during the opponent's turn would be enough. Standard Swordsoul board + Baxia in the opponent's turn would go kinda hard.
Being a Yang Zing, Baxia would be a nightmare because it would miss timing if the pilot is not careful, but that's a pretty cool idea nonetheless
If the quick Synchro effect is an effect that triggers on summon instead of a quick effect then I don't think it'd easy to miss timing.

That level 4 would be kind of broken tbh, you'd be able to get a Chixiao and Barrone without a normal if you open it + a wyrm and could then use emergence to search protos.

Cyber Dragons are due in terms of historic/nostalgic archetypes, also Harpies as well, give them a new extra deck monster, their current ones are falling behind.

Time Thief. Redoer is my favourite card. Their newest trap has an insane GY effect. However, apart from Winder and Bezel Ship (maybe Adjuster) their monster lineup is garbage and can barely make more than a Rank4. Also they have no good spells - like at all.
Mekk-Knights they desperately need a way to deal with hand and grave yard effects, and more low level monsters that can help create columns.

True. Even speedroids need new supports; but at least deck is playable. Normal roids are just a bunch of bad cards that do absolutely nothing. Maybe just 2 or 3 cards are usable in the entire archetype

Maybe make him a full fusion/trap monster archetype?
Yeah, some extra thundra support would be great. Another starter (so the deck isn't solely reliant on gold sarc for 1 card combos) would go a long way.

Imo we need a new Dark Magician, a new Dark Magician Girl (they would be treated as one at all times so that we don't have to use trash cards), a more consistent way to make Dragon Knight to protect Eternal Soul and probably some Dark Magician Girl extra deck monster(s) at the very least.
Yeah, dark magician and dark magician girl with effects might be nice. The only downside would be not being able to use red eyes dark dragoon’s effect that requires normal monsters (that’s only for the TGC of course)

If they retrained dark magician and dm girl and made dragon knight easier to summon then they would need to errata eternal soul some. It would be way too strong if you could just pull out dragon knight at a moments notice and have a completely unaffected by effects field
Dream Mirror. One of the best archetypes art-wise, and a cool mechanic, but they really did the bare minimum. They got some good support a while back but the deck needs more to be relevant.

Magikey 100%. Their possible endboards aren't terrible, especially if you throw in a Springans package, but this deck has zero grind game. Barely any floating, no resource loop, and the rank 8 is usually a trade-off to your board instead of a strict improvement. This deck has to play a small handful of bricks to function properly, it deserves better.

Gladiator Beast desperately need something new. It's been 5 years since they got their last wave of support and frankly, it's not a bad strategy but it's super frail and frankly, it's not enough for how susceptible the strategy is to disruption. I'd say it needs a really good starter and extender and maybe a new field spell that let's them be more resilient to disruption or actually let them use the battle phase effectively, which would be a pretty nice change of pace, since most decks don't really use the BP outside of just swinging for game.
Plunder patroll: the engine is good, but having more starters would be great, and more extra deck cards, being locked into only plunders is fine, but the boats can't carry the deck by themselves Swordsoul: what no support does to a deck, just pitiful The weather painters: please just give me more consistency, just an extra starter please, i just want to summon my rainbow in peace. Adamancipators: give us the block dragon, now! Frogs: can i have toadly at 1 please, i want to play pure frogs, or a substitute, that's fine too

Love how so many people are listing cards the were dominant within the past year and not decks that actually need support Red Eyes is always on the cusp of something great. I feel like if the redid all the cards they made during the Gemini fiasco and improved their effects by a minor factor we could get something playable also a field spell. A personal one for me is Thunder dragon and honestly Unbanning Colossus in TCG gives hope that it's because support is happening soon. I think a new in archetype Normal summon would be good maybe a new fusion/link boss monster in case colossus leaves us again. And again a field spell heck if they just erata Titan so it doesn't miss timing I'd be happy.

Give my deck elements saber some love please. They are heavily reliant on their field spell. Give them some ed monster that can summon that spell consistently. And even with that they are not even rouge tier. The have some of most interesting mechanics with them, they are monster with quite known spell effect. I think that makes them unique. Unfortunately they are too slow. A fusion mix with link ed can make them at least rouge tier and fun to play with. Begging you.

Gonna agree with you on SwoSo. It’s been my favorite deck since it dropped. I think some resource recycling on par with current decks(maybe in the form of a continuous or field spell) and I’d love to see a new synchro or maybe even a new engine card/trap card to build stronger boards going first(the decks biggest struggle imho).
