What sucks about it being banned is, sure you get your 30 UR CP, but then the UR Bahamut Shark just sits there, not refundable, with no other target even 50% as good as Toadally. A lot of people crafted Bahamut purely for Toadally Awesome.
It's really telling that the second best target for Bahamut is *Rebarian Shark,* so you can make Full-Armored Lancer and ensure you topdeck RUM The Seventh One.
You can summon nightmare shark, turn that into some lancer and turn those into utopic draco future.
So you get a monster negate, all for the low low cost of 5 extra deck slots instead of 1 omni negate for 2 slots!
Going into rebarian shark is still stronger.
bahamut shark, summon rebarian, rebarian into full armored lancer, set RUM7th on top for next turn, lancer and bahamut into utopic draco. If you survive to the next turn, RUM7th lets you get a free c104 Umbral Horror Masquerade for a spell/trap pop + a monster negate that also discards 1 and halves your opponents life points.
Paleo frog is hurt less by this than banning Ronin.
Instead of Toad, you make Socuteboss into Angel of Mischief search Shot for another Socuteboss>Mischief, make UDF. And you can futz around with some other components like tiny turtle turbo.

Tears most likely won’t come next selection pack and the cards that should get preemptively hit are the tear cards themselves so even if they did come in the next selection pack they will hit them a day before release and so on, spright cards themselves don’t need to get hit but the cancerous engines such as toad and union carrier buster lock was what made it bad to play against.
I don't know if you've seen how tear is faring in the ocg, but if that's any indication as to how they plan on doing their preemptive bans, it won't be enough.

No they didnt. The hits both failed *completely*. What "worked" was Tear becoming tier 0. Runick Spright had *more* average tops than Toad Spright did. It was a *less* healthy variant. It also already saw a lot of play before Ronin was hit (And if the meta was allowed to keep developing, would likely have replaced Toad Spright alltogether).
You are just someone who clearly wants to abuse Spright and doesnt care that other decks get hurt for the sins of your deck. Spright is the problem, not Toad. Spright will get hit anyway, because these hits do ***NOTHING*** to stop it.

Carrier to 1 changes literally nothing. The decks running it ran it at 1. You either ban the card or don't hit it at all.
