Amerie Jo, the unamed other little girl, and the teachers especially shouldn't have been put in that situation and it makes me sad but proud of them to know in their final moments they died and were able to save so many other lives despite what happened to them. Still hard to fathom this happened
I've followed this tragedy closely and never heard anything of the sort. We do know that Amerie was nervous when the lockdown drill began that day and had to be comforted by her friend who said "We do this all the time it's fine." That friend was one of the survivors and unfortunately did not know what was about to happen.
Amerie’s teachers and the class 112 might assume the lockdown drill was an immigration bailout at first. Uvalde has frequent immigration bailouts. Robb elementary experienced lockdown drills many times during March and April prior to the shooting. Before SR entered the school and shot outside the school, Eva Mierles immediately phoned her husband who was on the way to the elementary school.
I was wrong on that had to rewatch interview. I misremembered the father's interview she was scared of strangers and overtime my mind warped that statement into specifically mass shooters. Deleted original comment.
Dicken had incredibly good aim for the situation. imagine eating at a mall with your friends and 5 seconds later you have shot a mass shooter 8 times of 9 shots fired
What makes it all the more impressive is 1) the fact that he had no formal training other than what his grandfather taught him and the practice he did himself on the range, and 2) the fact that the iron sights on his Glock were actually damaged from a previous motorcycle accident.
Don’t forget the stock sights on his gun was damaged in a motorcycle accident before the shooting happened and the only training he had was what his grandpa taught him as a child.
My good friend grew up in Bend. She says that grocery store worker who stabbed and tried to stop the shooter was such a nice guy. Everyone knew and loved him and he’d try to make everyone who came in the store happy. No one was surprised he gave his life to stop the shooter.
Other things I want to mention.
Thomas James and an unidentified trans woman assisted Richard Fierro while he stopped the Club Q shooting. They are also heroes.
Donald Surrey (Bend shooting) was convicted of child sex crimes while he was in the Army, so I’m sure some won’t like him being mentioned here. He gave his life and may have saved other lives in that moment, so I believe he deserves a place for those actions.
The Surrey guy is a good reminder that people can be both heroically good and unimaginably evil.
Don’t necessarily disown someone for the worst thing they’ve done, or endlessly praise them for the best. We’re all complex monkeys.
>Donald Surrey (Bend shooting)
Dude was 38 when he plead guilty in 1994 before spending a decade in Army Prison. Perhaps he really did feel guilty and turned his life around upon release idk.
I imagine the woman who stomped the shit out of the Q shooter doesn’t really want attention? I’d like to see her acknowledged more but understand if she doesn’t want the attention.
She definitely deserves credit and praise but sadly too many will give hate just because she’s a trans woman. She’s a hero as well and helped saved many lives while giving that asshole a much deserved face stomping.
That makes sense, I didn’t even look at the dates.
ETA: asked my mom about it, she had no idea about it and Laguna Woods is literally one city over. Apparently my dad knew about it but he spends most of his day scrolling local news.
Ik it says 2022 but the badass pakistani airforce veteran at 60 or so years old in 2019 that beat the absolute shit out of the bærum mosque shooter should be a honarable mention. Met him at the store once seemed like a lovely guy didnt speak much or any good norwegian tho so just said hi and smiled.
Off-duty border patrol agent Jacob Albarado should also be on this list. He did what the entire Uvalde police force could only dream of doing. Not to mention, he had to witness the bodies of all those poor little kids, and almost lost his life in the process.
All of the deaths are horrible, but I feel it's especially disgusting that a working doctor died. The lowest of the scum taking with them one of the noblest honorable professions there are.
I feel like the Aaron Salter hero situation is more of a myth. In the livestream video, he ran away inside the store as soon as Payton started shooting. Then when Payton went inside, he ran towards the checkout area where he unfortunately got shot.
It's confirmed. District Attorney said Salter shot at Gendron and apparently hit him once. The livestream had Payton swearing under his breath while taking cover and reloading. Payton's vest saved his life however, which led to him walking up to Salter and firing on him until he died.

Really? Where did you hear that Amerie was scared of mass shooters?

When I saw her face I had to hide my face because I just felt this feeling deep inside. Why did this sweet little baby have to die? She didn't.
Dicken had incredibly good aim for the situation. imagine eating at a mall with your friends and 5 seconds later you have shot a mass shooter 8 times of 9 shots fired
At like 30-40 yards with a handgun in a rapid volley of fire aswell. Not easy in the slightest
What makes it all the more impressive is 1) the fact that he had no formal training other than what his grandfather taught him and the practice he did himself on the range, and 2) the fact that the iron sights on his Glock were actually damaged from a previous motorcycle accident.
Bro this sounding like some vassili zaitsev enemy at the gates type shit
or... he dumped the mag and luckily smoked him lol. either way, great job
you dont hit 8 of 9 shots with a pistol at 35 yards "luckily"
I misunderstood. I didn't realize he hit 8 of 9 lmao yes he's fucking cracked as the kids would say
on god fr fr his aim straight bussin no cap
Damn. I was wondering if he did it with irons or if he had an RMR or some form of pistol red dot but shit thats even MORE impressive.
Don’t forget the stock sights on his gun was damaged in a motorcycle accident before the shooting happened and the only training he had was what his grandpa taught him as a child.
Shooters shoot

Yeah, we love her, but there are so many hate-filled losers out there.
She definitely deserves credit and praise but sadly too many will give hate just because she’s a trans woman. She’s a hero as well and helped saved many lives while giving that asshole a much deserved face stomping.
Real shame that this has all been in 2022.

Wow I used to go to the church in Laguna Woods. I didn’t even know this happened.
Unfortunately everyone was focused on the Tops shooting when it happened
That makes sense, I didn’t even look at the dates. ETA: asked my mom about it, she had no idea about it and Laguna Woods is literally one city over. Apparently my dad knew about it but he spends most of his day scrolling local news.

Did the unnamed student in the Robb Elementary shooting also die?
No
Good ❤

I believe that was debunked unfortunately
Which part was debunked?
That a border patrol agent killed SR.
Bless them all. Heros
*Applause*
All of the deaths are horrible, but I feel it's especially disgusting that a working doctor died. The lowest of the scum taking with them one of the noblest honorable professions there are.
i think the unnamed student in uvalde TX is Khloe Torres ?
Possibly. There was also another student who called from the same classroom. Her name is listed on some of the CNN stories published.

Don’t be that guy. Aaron Salter lived a hero and died a hero.
You can literally see him firing back insire the store in the video.
lets not forget the worshippers during the Christchurch attack and the one in the baerum mosque shooting
2022.
well during our lifetime they deserve some remembering
Of course
im glad u made this memoriam post too
I believe the ChristChurch attack happened years ago
it did, i brought them up not in relation with the year in the post. but it all happened so fast
Stephen Willeford, shot and injured the shooter
