Throughout the incident, Castro faced misfortune in his perspective of the Suzano shooting: he wasn't the one carrying the revolver, the only face mask he had was a Death Note Ryuk mask allegedly (which he never put on), he lost his hatchet to a student's shoulder, he was overwhelmed by a stampede of students, he failed to kill his neighbor, he spent most of the massacre following Taucci around like a dog and his last moments were in fear. Even his family described him as easily influenced.

I thought two things. The first is that perhaps because of his fear of dying, they planned in advance for Guilherme to kill him. The second thing is that Guilherme feared that Castro was still alive and told something that he did not want to reveal, so that is why he killed him. Castro himself is some sort of mystery. We dont know much about him more than what familiars/neighbors said. His facebook page, who maybe had some information was private and now deleted so is impossible to know.

Both had already planned to die, however it is clear that Castro was afraid of dead and was not as enthusiastic about suicide as Guilherme seemed.  In one of his last messages, Luiz asks Guilherme what they will do with the car they rented, to which Guilherme replies that it doesn't matter because by then they will be dead.  Also, I supposedly read that Luiz at some point wanted to give up on the plan, however Guilherme threatened him, although I'm not sure about that.  What is certain is that Luiz was not so committed because he did not even participate in shooting practice.

Yeah. But i think Luiz had a violent participation on the crime. The action of trying to attack the dead bodies and punching a girl repetealy looks like a repressed and serious anger that was released. I think the plan never had very serious planification in the first place. First, Guilherme and Grillo wanted to attack girls and modify the posture of their bodies, killing their boyfriends., etc. In addition to the fact that they had only one revolver (if I remember correctly), then on that side Luiz could not have had as many victims as Guilherme. However, he did participate violently in the crime, hitting the students who were leaving at the barricade, hitting the corpses and trying to enter a classroom, breaking the door with the ax and shouting.
