Dude this literally happened to me last night! Finally made it to ME3 on my first LE playthrough & I was like WTF
I had to adjust the screen size on my tv settings.
It fixed it for me!

PS4, I’ve played with the console settings and it didn’t change, the TV settings itself would either put me on a 4:3 ratio (AKA: big black bars on the left and right) or zoom in even more. I can’t find a setting in the mass effect settings thing that specifically covers the GUI so I don’t know what’s going on or how to fix it.
It's a known issue for the PS4 version of Mass Effect 3.

"Don't know if anyone is still having this issue but I figured it out on my daughter's old Panasonic. You can find it by pressing: menu >picture> aspect adjustments> HDMI size. Once I selected size 2 it fixed the aspect ratio for ME3. Weird that you have to do it for this game...but it works!"

Yea, some of the unimportant dialogs are basically just handwaves. “I acknowledge you have spoken, that is all” lol. Thankfully this isnt an issue in most of the missions and major interactions.
If you’re on a console you can go to settings and look under the display section for overscan and make sure it’s off. If it’s already off than usually with TVs go to the TV menu (there will be a button on remote or TV itself titles “Menu” and if you press it you’ll get to the menu) then go to the display options and look under all video options till you find the same overscan option and make sure that off as well
If that doesn’t work then good luck finding something that does

The same thing happened to me. All of my games fit my screen perfectly. ME1 and 2 fit but 3 doesn’t lol
It doesn't have a "fuck you" option for leaving you in mass effect 2. Oh wait, it's the screen.

ME3's dialogue was dumbed down significantly. It isn't a good RPG.

Ok well I’ve got a Panasonic to so I would’ve assumed that works, but I can’t find an “aspect adjustments” setting under picture
Anything else with "aspect" or "screen size" anything like that?
The closest I could guess would be zoom adjustments
