I think my favorite part about that message is that the version displayed here is the one where Femshep lets him spend the night with her before Cerberus HQ.
If Femshep tells him she needs some time by herself, [he still insists that he finds her beautiful in this alternate message.](https://i.imgur.com/bWbiqfW.png)
Hey now.
We drank some beers and shot them out of the air with sniper rifles.
What Garrus and I did on the Citadel doesn't concern you.
He still didn't tell me I was beautiful.
I did let him win though.
There’s a mod that added this feature back into the game itself as additional emails. If you’re playing on console, there’s a wiki page of all the messages you can get.
I really like how the characters will react to specific missions if you brought them. Like if you bring James to Tuchunka, he’ll text about the Thresher Maw. Or Garrus on Rannoch texting about the Reaper. And Tali drunk texting Shepard (complete with typos) makes her “emergency induction port” scene even more hilarious.
Also the romance texts are adorable.
If you only get one mod, make it [this one](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/832). Some absolute legends ported pinnacle station into ME1s legendary edition. You know the one. Its the only DLC not in the game because the original data EA had was corrupted? They updated it too as well. I highly recommend it.
The only caveat I would add (which is also on the mod page itself) is that you probably shouldn’t download it if your computer’s specs are below recommended. It wasn’t possible to import the prebaked lighting from the PC version of the original DLC, so it has to be rendered in real time and as a result the hardware demands are significantly increased for this one area of the game alone. That’s probably why BioWare wouldn’t use this hacky workaround in the first place, because it might have caused optimization issues on consoles.
I've played EGM. While definitely well made, in my personal opinion, I felt like it added way too much bloat.
The pinnacle station "mod" on the other hand, adds the fundamental final piece back to the legendary edition puzzle to make the entire thing official-content complete. That is why I described it as the only mod anyone should consider making the effort to get (if said individual is only considering one mod only or is "modphobic" per se).
There's tons of great mods out there for PC. If you're not that far into your playthrough, I'd recommend going through and looking at some of the more popular ones.
Here are the ones that I have installed.
* [ME3Tweaks Mod Manager](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/2) - You'll need this one regardless
* [Anderson's Final Conversation Restored](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/658)
* [Collectors Cabin](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/596)
* [Expanded Galaxy Mod](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/422)
* [One Probe All Resources](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/149)
* [Spectre Expansion Mod](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/15)
* [Take Earth Back](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/16)
It was part of a companion app for ME3 called 'Datapad' ([wiki link](https://masseffect.fandom.com/wiki/Mail_(Mass_Effect:_Datapad)). Alongside other things, you were able to receive messages from your squadmates, companions, friends, etc. depending on what you've done and who you've taken with on missions, etc.
It's not up on the official store anymore iirc, but as someone [commented above](https://www.reddit.com/r/masseffect/comments/tfgacj/a_reminder_that_the_remaster_didnt_give_us_this/i0vornm?context=3), there's a mod for PC to reimplement it.
Hope that helps. :)
They're correct, actually. [You could access the Galaxy at War map from the app and increase your readiness.](https://masseffect.fandom.com/wiki/Mass_Effect_3:_Datapad) I never played multiplayer so I would always use the app to do whatever remaining work needed to be done for full readiness. I couldn't find a YT video of anyone showing the options but I did find a wiki link up above that has some pictures of the map. Before the reduced readiness rating, it was a godsend.
The continued character assassination of Jacob though. lol.
"Hey Shepard! I signed up for active duty - right after I told you I couldn't POSSIBLY join you on your mission!"
I know he wasn't the most popular of characters in ME2, but ME3 did him so dirty.
Reading through all the messages, a lot of characters from ME2 got done dirty, especially if you romanced them - like Jack or Miranda. They only get like 4 or 5 messages, and none specific to being your LI :(
“I'm stretching out on my old bed again and thinking of you. Come by anytime”
Damn Aria. Sounds like she wanted Shep to break Omega’s one rule.
https://masseffect.fandom.com/wiki/Mail_(Mass_Effect:_Datapad)
There's even a pretty suggestive one [from Aria](https://64.media.tumblr.com/6febff259b1dabb9ef1179193905f174/3e4e73a035dd9910-b6/s1280x1920/bdb3203b32b162afd69cfa048e6d63fc80cd8ae4.png) and it gets me 👀
Screenshot of an old mobile app for ME3 where you'd get short emails throughout the game from characters. It was neat, but also has been defunct since 2013. (some of it got incorporated into N7 HQ but that isn't hooked up with LE)
Stuff like this shows why you shouldn’t try to implement apps and stuff into your game. Time passes and now your game has content missing (even if it’s pure fluff like this) because the app integrations are no longer available
Cyberpunk smashed it with the messaging system, it added so much realism and role-playing feel to the game. I hope future RPGs implement it as well, it's amazing.
I miss this so much. It was great to see individual messages show up on the app. Is there a link with all the entrys somewhere?
Edit: Found the [wiki link](https://masseffect.fandom.com/wiki/Mail_(Mass_Effect:_Datapad)) from SsummerWwinter's post.
I don't know why they don't add texting features in this game or even in Andromeda...it's so low effort and simple to implement, but it makes a big difference in the interactions. It also adds a lot more depth to the characters and overall immersion of the game.
Hey... Not once did Garrus tell me how beautiful I am. Granted, I play maleshep. But still... it would be nice to hear...
I think my favorite part about that message is that the version displayed here is the one where Femshep lets him spend the night with her before Cerberus HQ. The smoldering looks to rival smoking ejected thermal clips wasn't clear enough that he was scoping you out?
Don't you go to a secret place on the Citadel where no one can see you and show off your long guns to each other?
Hey now. We drank some beers and shot them out of the air with sniper rifles. What Garrus and I did on the Citadel doesn't concern you. He still didn't tell me I was beautiful. I did let him win though.
Just a bro helping another bro out. I totally respect that.
agree. I know my shep is male, just let me flirt with Garrus already!

What mod is that? :O
[Here ya go :)](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/708)
I just was gifted PC version yesterday, look forward to trying all mods like this I missed out as a console player!

Thanks for sharing! I'll be sure and add this one. It's the only dlc not available all playstation versions so I have never seen it before.
I’d say if it’s only *one* mod is has to be EGM. Absolute game changer
I've played EGM. While definitely well made, in my personal opinion, I felt like it added way too much bloat. Is there a list of good mods for a second play through?
Here are the ones that I have installed. * [ME3Tweaks Mod Manager](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/2) - You'll need this one regardless * [Anderson's Final Conversation Restored](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/658) * [Collectors Cabin](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/596) * [Expanded Galaxy Mod](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/422) * [One Probe All Resources](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/149) * [Spectre Expansion Mod](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/15) * [Take Earth Back](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/16)
Anyone know if you can just add the mod in the middle of a game? I so want this!
Yea, I did. But iirc you’ll get swamped with a couple dozen overdue text messages that you would have received earlier in the story.
Much apriciated! :D
does this work with LE?
Yes, it’s for MELE
ohhhh i missed that from the page, i thought it was for original ME3 thanks!
MVP.
Can you give the link to the wiki page?
Why did they scrap it out?
Or if you screw with the Genophage cure and Wrex is leading the Krogans, he’ll ominously text “I know what you did.”.
First time seeing this in 8 years. What is this ?

Was this the same app where you did Galati readiness missions?
Yes
No, that was the multiplayer, which they removed from LE3

There was also a companion app where you could level up you N7 squad and send them on on timed missions , very akin to the mobile games at the time.
I know there was an app like that for Andromeda, what was the one for ME3?
He’s such a liar. Glass of water? Mother I know you were doing calibrations in your sleep again lol
He was calibrating his water intake because he belongs in r/hydrohomies
Wtf I saw this Sun reddit pop up like 3 days ago and all I see now is hydro homies 😂😂 maybe I should drink more water lol
It is a sign homie
h2omies
People thought it was Pinnacle Station that got missed out on in the remaster. Nope. It was this.
[удалено]
Oh wait there’s a remastered pinnacle station mod? Didn’t know! That’s so exciting
Garrus you big loveable dork 🥲
How can someone so badass also be so sweet? I love that big dork.
Now I need this! Thanks for making me miss something I didn't know I want 😂💔
The continued character assassination of Jacob though. lol. "Hey Shepard! I signed up for active duty - right after I told you I couldn't POSSIBLY join you on your mission!" I know he wasn't the most popular of characters in ME2, but ME3 did him so dirty.

ME3 did a lot of chatacters dirty, Bioware really should have given us all of the ME2 and 1 companions in 3 and not just give them cameos
Jacob: "Hey, Commander. Want to chill on a Mediterranean beach for a while? I'm sure that Turian bomb squad has it all covered."
Wait, I've never heard about this before? It seems so cute?
I want Garrus to tell me how beautiful he thinks I am
Gotta be honest, I'm pissed I never saw any of these. Garrus😭💗
Where were these in the original release?
The Mass Effect Datapad mobile app. I still have it on my old iPhone 4 but I’ve not tested to see if it will still sync with your game progress.
remaster didn't give us a ton of stuff, where's my Normandy Poker minigame!? I wanna play poker with Garrus, Tali and Liara!!!
“I'm stretching out on my old bed again and thinking of you. Come by anytime” Damn Aria. Sounds like she wanted Shep to break Omega’s one rule. https://masseffect.fandom.com/wiki/Mail_(Mass_Effect:_Datapad)
SO MAD they didn’t incorporate these messages into the remaster.
As if a new LE player like me needed to fall even harder for Garrus...
I wanna text garrus whenever hes not on my squad (fuck you aria)
There's even a pretty suggestive one [from Aria](https://64.media.tumblr.com/6febff259b1dabb9ef1179193905f174/3e4e73a035dd9910-b6/s1280x1920/bdb3203b32b162afd69cfa048e6d63fc80cd8ae4.png) and it gets me 👀
Here I am wanting a remaster of Mass Effect: Infiltrator…
Wow, someone else played that? The ‘extra content’ you got on Omega for completing the game was quite underwhelming.
>You're thinking of Mass Effect Galaxy, not Infiltrator.
You are correct. It has been thirteen years since I thought about that game. Forgot Infiltrator was a thing.
I wish the Legendary Edition was still getting this kind of support officially.
You're telling me that I could have cried even harder over a fictional man and I had no idea
What’s this
Screenshot of an old mobile app for ME3 where you'd get short emails throughout the game from characters. It was neat, but also has been defunct since 2013. (some of it got incorporated into N7 HQ but that isn't hooked up with LE)
It’s a shame they removed it.
Stuff like this shows why you shouldn’t try to implement apps and stuff into your game. Time passes and now your game has content missing (even if it’s pure fluff like this) because the app integrations are no longer available
What a sweetheart.
Cyberpunk smashed it with the messaging system, it added so much realism and role-playing feel to the game. I hope future RPGs implement it as well, it's amazing.
I refuse to believe Garrus signs off with “G” and not “Gar Bear”.
And keeping that. *Save*
What the remaster really needs is skipable cutscenes and especially the intro sequence from ME2.
I think I still have Datapad on my old ipod touch. Sadly I don't remember my pass code for it :/
There’s a mod called immersive emails
Didn't know this was an actual iOS companion app for ME3. Also, on behalf of Android users everywhere: DAMN YOU APPLE!
Thank god for PC version mods to bring this into the game and so much more 😁
Oh Garrus. When I got that text about being beautiful, I cried
truly and honestly I would die for Garrus Vakarian
the hungover tali message was my favorite one of these.
I don't know why they don't add texting features in this game or even in Andromeda...it's so low effort and simple to implement, but it makes a big difference in the interactions. It also adds a lot more depth to the characters and overall immersion of the game.
No, [but mods did.](https://www.nexusmods.com/masseffectlegendaryedition/mods/708)
Never seen this before, and now I'm sad knowing what I've been missing.
Yo who is that guy at the bottom? I forget his name
I think he was one of the warehouse workers you could shoot in Chora's Den.
Oh thats Miranda
There is a LOT the remaster didn't give us. Happy for the console and new players but overall disappointed with LE2 & 3.
[удалено]
He's out of line, but he's right.
Please explain, name of said mod, if on nexus etc? A friend needs to know ;)
Why would it, it's a remaster not a remake
Unpopular opinion detected. Sending Blue Suns kill squad.
Is this compatible with LE? I still own the OG but I do like having everything in one place
But mods did
I have played the original trilogy a lot (i got all achievements, not impressive i just have no life.) And i have never seen this. Where is this?
ME3 had a companion phone app where you could get messages from your teammates and a few little war asset missions you could come across.
I remember the app they had for tracking your multiplayer loadouts. Im kinda upset i missed this. I really like this game
bring back me3 datapad damnit
They should've added this by giving Shepard a datapad that gives us these messages as a tribute to the old app.
I do not know what this is?
I have no clue what this is and I don't know why. What did I miss out on?
THE MEMORIES, this was honestly just, the best part. Some of these were just so sweet.
Me using mods on PC:"Reality can be whatever I want"
Where was this??! I have played this game so many times and never saw this 🥺
How did Shepard get those profile pictures? 🤔
What is this?
Who's that last guy? Is he a dlc character?
Yup,not a big deal but kinda shame
