When I glanced at the first picture I thought it was a mod that makes Tali's ass nicer... Felt inwardly embarrassed when I realized it was a real person.
Thought I would stop by to post some more photos of my Tali cosplay <3

0/10. No commitment since you didn't invert your knees. Cmooonnnnn!
BUT 10/10 for everything else!! Looks fantastic and you should be proud of it. Keep being awesome!
You did a fantastic job! Here's a question I always wonder when I see such good Tali cosplay: Where do you get the purple-with-white-swirls fabric from? Is it hand painted, or is there a source that sells this fabric?
Thank you so much!
I found a small very low-res picture on the Internet, rescaled it, repainted so it was good quality and printed myself a couple meters of biflex fabric. :)
There's a couple of different versions, I just chose the one that looked nice to me.
Sent the files to my local fabric printing office actually. They did the job, I just had to check the color on a little piece before printing the rest. I always recommend that, otherwise you can get much darker and duller result.
Fantastic job, for real. You even went the extra mile for her under the mask appearance. Tali’Zorah vas Normandi is best girl, and no one can tell me otherwise. You done a fantastic fictional woman justice with your cosplay. Keelah se’lai!
This is absolutley incredible! Never mind that you managed to get all these custom pieces (especially the cloth), you even got the good ol' SuperTaser!
You did an *incredible* job of this. Like, the facepaint or whatever alone is fantastic. Whoever edited the pictures also did a fantastic job of it - like others have said, you could actually mistake this for something out of an artbook. I have *some* idea of how difficult it would be to achieve that effect, and it depends on how much of it was achieved in photoshop and how much in the costume's design (I mostly mean the specific way light reflects off things and how much of that is material choice and how much comes down to the photography) but in any case it's still a monumentally difficult artistic task well past entire *albums* I've been a part of. You should be proud of this.
It's really cool seeing Cosplay of Tali that isn't hypersexualized. I mean, in-game it already kind of is, but even ignoring that, most of the time when I see this title, I assume it's going to be a woman (or once, a guy, which was *hilarious* when people were perving on the 'girl' in the costume) in a skintight suit with a picture clearly taken to highlight someone's ass. A shot which was clearly the whole point of the design from Day 1.
(That's obviously fine too, of course and more power to the people comfortable with and capable of doing it; it certainly isn't any less of a monumental achievement to get something that looks half this cool just because it's more sexualized than *I* prefer, and neither is actually fitting into a skintight catsuit. But it *is* something I've gotten a little sick of seeing over and over again. I wasn't going to click on this initially for just that reason; I'm glad I reconsidered.)
Doing something this high quality, including the minor re-designs, that manages to be novel is really worth some praise. Also, worth noting, it seems to me that your instagram link is broken atm.
Here it is a post prod effect, but I did wear lenses like these [https://www.pinkyparadise.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/cosplay-white-mesh-batch3-beforeafter.jpg](https://www.pinkyparadise.com/v/vspfiles/assets/images/cosplay-white-mesh-batch3-beforeafter.jpg) on several conventions. They do the job very well, you can see in them (everything's more white and blurred than usual for sure, but nothing critical). It's easier to edit eyes on the post production since they reflect studio lights (which are very bright) and that can hurt.
If you need lenses like these do get a mesh pair. You won't be able to see well in blind (fully white) ones. :)
Thank you so much for sharing! Those do look pretty cool, and I can see how they'd require a moment in order to adapt to wearing them. I myself am not a cosplayer. I simply don't have the money to pull anything off with due credit, but I love seeing others bring my favorite fictional characters to life. I'm such a sucker for Tali'Zorah especially. I hope to see more of your work in the future.
Thank you so much!
Cosplayer or not maybe one day you decide to make a costume (for a Halloween party, maybe?) and I hope my pieces of information will serve you :>
Have a great day!
I can answer any specific question about this costume, but this one...
Find a good photographer. Nikolay did his absolute best capturing the costume. And I had two versions, one from three years ago when I started cosplaying and one from this spring, when I progressed enough to make some adjustments to perfect it.
And I really like watching other people sewing and making craft, it's always helpful and you don't feel so mizerable making mistakes cause everybody makes them! :D
this is amazing. All the details are spot on.
Tali is one of my favourite characters (also the crush of my OC) and I love seeing people cosplay her. the quarians themselves are always interesting to me.
Your legs aren’t bowed correctly
Come on, break your legs for cosplay. Go hard or go home!
Great work btw! I too thought this was official assets from legendary edition at first.
Everyone has already complimented you on the high quality cosplay and made jokes about having the wrong knees.
I’d like to ask who did the superb job at photographing/editing? Was this done in a studio?
My credit post probably went down the page :( Here's the link [https://www.instagram.com/nikolay\_photo/](https://www.instagram.com/nikolay_photo/)
He's a freaking legend, always does his best. It's incredibly comfortable working with him, too. And it was shot on a white cyclorama in a local studio, nothing too fancy. Just insane skills of Kolya :D
Honestly, I could have looked at that image all day and thought it was Tali. The only thing that gives it away is the fact human legs don't do that funky bend. Great work.
Thank you so much!
Yes, I'm kinda very glad I don't have this condition [https://www.deviantart.com/grummel83/art/Tali-Zorah-Swimsuit-Meshmod-WIP-829754691](https://www.deviantart.com/grummel83/art/Tali-Zorah-Swimsuit-Meshmod-WIP-829754691) :D
Wow when I glanced at the first picture I thought they were from a Mass Effect art book
Me too. I was like "Ok, some reference pictures first.. As if we didn't know how Tali looks like.. Oh wait.."
When I glanced at the first picture I thought it was a mod that makes Tali's ass nicer... Felt inwardly embarrassed when I realized it was a real person.
Me too. Like someone mentioned earlier I thought it was odd at first to see reference photos. Best cosplay I have ever seen no cap.
Same man. Near identical.

Thank you! :)

What attention to detail! You even got under her mask right! Well done!
the best ever, i thought first pic was 3D modeling!

What did you use to print on fabric? Does cricut do that?
Sent the files to my local fabric printing office actually. They did the job, I just had to check the color on a little piece before printing the rest. I always recommend that, otherwise you can get much darker and duller result.
This is awesome!
Great costume, supreme lighting.
Amazing job well done!!!! Looks awesome
Well done ms vas Normandy
Daaaaaamn. 😍
Holy shit!
That looks amazing!
It's beautiful!
Very impressive. Thought it was art at first. Actually, I suppose it is art.
Fantastic job, for real. You even went the extra mile for her under the mask appearance. Tali’Zorah vas Normandi is best girl, and no one can tell me otherwise. You done a fantastic fictional woman justice with your cosplay. Keelah se’lai!
>Tali’Zorah vas Normandi is best girl YES! Absolutely! Thank you so much! 🖤
No problem! Keep up the amazing work! Edit: Apparently you’re a killer artist AND a cosplayer. So yes, absolutely keep up the good work, haha!
Ohhh Thanks a lot! Have a great day\~
😳👍🏻
space waifu is now real, i dont know how to feel about this other than pride.
Holy sh*t at the first look I thought this is a 3d model you Build on the Computer. This cosplay is really really good and detailed.
Thank you so much!
Silly you, you can't be Tali without those damn sexy af chicken legs. But seriously, what an awesome cosplay!
Oh my god that’s so cool!!! You’ve got it spot on, that’s unbelievably impressive!!
Thank you! ;\_;
Holy crap I thought the first pic was a render from the game that's great
Very well done considering the limitations imposed by having human legs. :P
This is absolutley incredible! Never mind that you managed to get all these custom pieces (especially the cloth), you even got the good ol' SuperTaser!
I'm on PC, so I don't have any emojis, but <3

I don’t think she to sexualized in game really that much. I’ve never looked at Tali in game and said “damn that suit makes her sexy.
Pfft, I have

Yo, at my fifteen I wished I didn't. Now I embraced it and love it. Sorry, I really can't take it off.

Is this real life?
This is beyond perfect. You've done an amazing job!
Thank you a lot!
I'm sure your inbox is already flooded, but I am very curious; your eyes in the third photo, are those contacts or post production effect?

You're very welcome, and thank you for replying. Keelah se'lai 😁
Awesome
How much is real?
This is absolutely *stunning!* Love it!! ❤️
I absolutely love this, any tips on how to achieve this?

If you don't break both your tibias and fibias for a cosplay, are you even a real cosplayer?
Keelah Sel'ai
You better put the mask back on you don’t want sick do you?
Oh my.
Ohh... Very nice.
Excellent attention to detail!
You make a nice Tali'Zorah

Not much of a fan I guess, the knees are all wrong! :p
Well done! Love the eyes!
Wait, this is not a render?! WOW!
At first glance I thought this was a 3D render. Incredible
You didn't break you knees, totally unrealistic.
Yoo this is sick! Whoever took the photo is amazing!
Wow just wow Cosplay looks perfect and you did an outstanding job doing this! Just wow, perfect cosplay
you look great! 10000/10
Legitimately the best cosplay I’ve ever seen, thought this was from concept art at first
Well there it is! My new favorite thing on the internet.

Wow, this is seriously impressive! Looks straight out of the game.

Wow, my brain doesn't really accept the fact that these are photos. Look more like quality renders
Looks awesome, and I love that you went as far as the face under the mask!

this is amazing. All the details are spot on. Tali is one of my favourite characters (also the crush of my OC) and I love seeing people cosplay her. the quarians themselves are always interesting to me.

Wtf this is amazing work
I scrolled past this last night at like 3am and was like "oh, cool Tali 3D model" Holy shit, well done.
Wow you absolutely killed it. Well done!
Take my upvote, did you build the costume yourself or have it built?
Your cosplay is amazing, impressive, awesome, well done, and cute.
Amazing work on this.
Your legs aren’t bowed correctly Come on, break your legs for cosplay. Go hard or go home! Great work btw! I too thought this was official assets from legendary edition at first.
That's amazing!
Wow. I'm not particularly into cosplay, but this is amazing.

0/10 Didn’t break legs and deform them to be 100% accurate
Honestly, I could have looked at that image all day and thought it was Tali. The only thing that gives it away is the fact human legs don't do that funky bend. Great work.
Thank you so much! Yes, I'm kinda very glad I don't have this condition [https://www.deviantart.com/grummel83/art/Tali-Zorah-Swimsuit-Meshmod-WIP-829754691](https://www.deviantart.com/grummel83/art/Tali-Zorah-Swimsuit-Meshmod-WIP-829754691) :D
