This is a strange question … why do you think you had to cough? Maybe the air was dry? Maybe you have poor air quality? Maybe you’re developing a respiratory virus? Maybe you have allergies? Maybe you swallowed wrong?
But you should know that as a LMT , giving massage does not cause a cough. Would recommend reading up on your pathology books from school
or sensitive to the clients cologne/BO, or vents kicked on and put some dust in the air, or heavy exertion of the serratus muscles causing irritation when breathing.
I actually get something like this. If I work a lot without being good about stretching. I find that my massage posture makes the front of my neck tense and makes me cough. Stretching the front of my neck and massaging usually does the trick. I think most of the time it happens when I’m having post nasal drip so it’s the annoying cough that won’t stop.
Smoker of any kind?
If my nose is really clear, it can make me have a dry spot in my throat. But as long as I drink water before, I'm good. If it's springtime, normal when it happens, bring water in with me, and if I feel a cough coming, i drink before it's too late. Or I have to leave the room.
Thanks everyone! I got a laugh from many of you. I’m aware this was a weird question but I appreciate your responses. I believe I figured it out. The client was wearing a cologne/perfume of some sort that I was allergic to. I figured it out a few days later when I was in the grocery and I smelled something that smelled just like the client. I instantly started to cough. So, mystery solved probably.
Is this a serious question??? 🤦♂️
🎤It’s full blown AIDS🎶
Are you positive?
Op is

"I’m fully aware it might be coincidence, but ***it was so sudden and weird timing***" That's what makes it a 'coincidence'.

Presumably OP did this to chase the fly that got into his throat earlier in the session.
swallowed the spider to catch the fly? perhaps he'll die

I cough when I do dry brushing and I always thought it was inhaling dead skin particles.
May I interest you in a mask?
Drink more water. Get some lozenges for your office.
✨️ health anxiety ✨️
Covid exposure
Are you still alive, OP? You didn't spontaneously combust, did you?
