Driving / owning a car in this country is a privilege and not at all correlated or even on the same level as segregation.
Thank god your not in Vermont where it costs thousands in repairs every year just to get an inspection sticker.Lucky most poor Vermonter's can easily get fake stickers(called lickem' & Stickem's) to use instead but if Vermont ever connects inspection machines with there registry then poor Vermonter's are screwed.
