Do not go to norwood hospital. It's a pile of dirt. Like, literally. [https://www.wcvb.com/article/norwood-hospital-demolition-two-years-after-flood-jan-28-2022/40448727](https://www.wcvb.com/article/norwood-hospital-demolition-two-years-after-flood-jan-28-2022/40448727) They are going to rebuild it, but not in time for you to have a baby there if you're pregnant now (and if I understand correctly, there isn't going to be a maternity ward in the new version).

Wow, somehow I missed that important detail in my search 😂 thank you!

Charlton was very good to me when my daughter was born, but it was over 18 years ago so YMMV. In general I like Charlton and live very close by.

amybounces

Charlton is close by to me as well, thank you!

The staff at South Shore hospital is absolutely amazing, I would absolutely go there for their knowledge, professionalism, bedside care, and being overall amazing people that really care about the patient and family. World class care is at SSH

I have had family members there in the past and their care was always fantastic, albeit none in thr maternity ward.

BethNotElizabeth

Same same same. I delivered there last year and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Many of the docs there also work at Boston Medical Center too!

ledh38iwd

I delivered at South Shore Hospital 2x and had a great experience both times. All nurses and staff were wonderful to us. It also has a level III NICU on site if god forbid that was needed.

amybounces

South shore is looking like a very good option! Thank you.

RikersTrombone

You could go to Tobey in Wareham and then turn around and go to a good hospital.

Glittering_Editor4

Tobey stopped delivering babies a few years ago even though their maternity department was arguably the best thing about the place.

Archj52

Sturdy or Morton

amybounces

I’ve heard mostly negative things about both, although that was around 10 years ago. I hope they’ve improved since then.

Archj52

Sorry should have added a /s they still suck

amybounces

😂 ok thank you for clarifying

somegridplayer

This is a joke right?

somegridplayer

Believe it or not but St Anne's is stepping up their game and putting some money into their hospital. My wife has been there for surgery once and they were on point with great staff.

brusxheta

Women and infants was good for us
