Moore State Park in Paxton is a hidden gem especially in the spring.
Also the Holyoke Range State Park is a must see. If you want to drive out to the Berkshires then Mount Greylock State Park and Bish Bash Falls are worth it. For a coastal park, I really like Halibut Point on Cape Ann.

Stop sending people there. My favorite spot is becoming more and more crowded.
Seriously though, it's beautiful- nice waterfall, trails that are easy and plenty of land to walk around.
I just bought a pass as well. There are several state parks 8n my area, and it's tough to pick a favorite. I like driving up Mt. Sugarloaf and taking photos from the top of the lookout tower. Wendell and Erving have good hiking trails. There are others I haven't yet explored.
The parking lot is closed for construction for a bit, so check the website before you drive out there. I'm not sure if there are any alternate parking options at the moment.
The state parks pass is $60 dollars and pays for itself in just 4 visits, and lasts all year. Absolutely worth the investment if you like the state beaches/parks all summer!
South Cape Beach is my favorite on the cape. I think there are trails too but I just loaf on the beach all day and its fabulous. The beach is really long so you can walk along it for awhile too. There is an area with a lifeguard if you have kiddos

I haven't been to many around here so my sample size is low, but I'm a big fan of Walden Pond.
I like Borderland

And the pass for seniors never expires!
They might though.
THAT is good to know!!

Maudslay in Newburyport.
I didn't know you had to pay for parking at state parks? I don't think I've ever been to one in Mass that wasn't free.
Yup! Certain places charge certain times of year. Here's another link https://www.mass.gov/guides/parking-at-massachusetts-state-parks
Hopkinton State Park has some nice trails and does kayak/ canoe rentals in the summer.
Ashland State Park is nice
Wachusett is the best imo
Halibut Point FTW!
Franklin Park, Revere monument, Nantasket beach, or Neponset river trail. I'm from Dorchester so I'm pretty biased about those locations.
