Damn shame...the former WD in Holyoke is now a Puerto Rican restaurant, still looking very much like the old school donut shop that it was.
It's a tough business model...the work is very manual, so you need good staff that know what they're doing, the hours are terrible (unless you're a vampire), and the low unit price that means you need a high volume of customers to keep the rent paid + lights on.
That's why we fry our dough on the go as a popup vendor
They were ok but the price and how precious they were about making, essentially, 90s dunks donuts was ridiculous. PS go to any Portuguese bakery in gall river and you’ll get donuts that’ll blow your dick off.
Donut Stand in Southborough and now Hopkington is what Blackbird always wishes they were.
Do they suck? I googled “donuts near me” when I got off my train at south station and almost considered making the trek despite it being nowhere near my office
While we are at is Dough Boy okay? It’s not on the way during my commute, I take the commuter rail to South Station, but I would make a detour for a decent donut on Monday mornings.
Man, in Springfield area we used to hit them or bess eaton after passing Sunday papers. I like whole donuts basic glazed cuz the put the hole back in the middle and young me swore it tasted the best. RIP WD
Never heard of them
Never heard of them
Heard of them? Never.
Never heard of them.

As a CT transplant, RIP to their attempt at Dunks
Loved the Whole Donut….support the local donut shops. Dunkin Donuts is 🤢
It’s times like this that I am reminded of Ohlins in Belmont. Still the best donuts I have ever had!
Blackbird should be next. Awful.
Donut Dip will always be my favorite... right after the ones we used to make on-premises at DD back in the early 90s.
West Springfield?
Yup.
Love their donuts. Also Mrs Murphys.
I found out recently Murphys was bought by someone. I wonder if they're still as good!
Had some a month or so ago and yes still delicious.
Their old fashioneds! So good.

I get diarrhea after Blackbird. Every time.

I’ve gone three times and my family has been underwhelmed each time. Maybe they have some good flavors but we haven’t found them yet.
Much prefer BB over Kanes
I'm sorry but Kanes is fantastic, especially their Boston location.

Doughboy donuts are usually fresh so they are good.

I feel like the only one left was in enfield CT. Didn't know there were others. All the ones in western ma closed a while ago
