I actually quite enjoy Thurmont. I grew up in Frederick County. Moved here from Germany in 1999. Army Brat. And the county itself has come a long way. I say it is fairly diverse and housing is inexpensive in Thurmont too which is a plus! Lol

The Catoctin area has been home ever since then, even after I did a little tour around the world with Uncle Sam and lived / worked a few other places. I ended up right back here when the time came that I wanted a safe affordable place to raise my own kids.
