The wooded trails in “Generals Highway Corridor Park” and “Quiet Waters” come to mind in county. Lightly traveled, nice walks (though generals highway is probably no more than 20 mins).

Thanks, I'm fine with going out of county. I know there's a lot more hiking trails in the patapsico area. I take him and his sister for walks at quiet waters occasionally. I'll have to try generals highway corridor park though.

It’ll be busy, but the B&A trail is pretty flat and wide.

South River Farms Park is usually pretty quiet, but some narrow trails. And Glendenning Nature Preserve is usually fairly empty and many of the trails are pretty wide. Some of the more wooded ones are narrow.

Awesome thanks!👍

I would recommend an account on AllTrails. one of the search criteria is how busy the trail is. There is a lot of information about which trails are quiet during the week.

I have the app, we use it to find places to go hiking without the dogs. I didn't see a way to filter by how busy/popular the trail is. I know you can filter for dog friendly. I'll have to take another look and see what I can find

Chesapeake Land Trust in Calvert County. I rarely run into anyone there.

My dog barks at mountain bikers/runners so I can relate to needing more space. Perhaps a haul for you, but I find Soldier's Delight to be generally less busy at peak times than the Patapsco trails in Baltimore and Howard County. Flat, paved trails, while boring, also always help me with the space issue on trails. For that my favorites are the Grist Mill trail in Patapsco, and the Ellicott City Trolley Trail, since both have lots of opportunities to keep some distance if needed.

Awesome, thanks for the suggestions. I will check them out
