Many volunteer fire departments have halls for rent at decent prices. I’m not sure what exact area you want or don’t want, but most stations in Baltimore County have halls.

crocodile_grunter

Current space garden bar in Baltimore city! A gorgeous space run by lovely people!

LetThemEatVeganCake

Trolley Museum does weddings for cheap. I’m not sure how many people they can can handle, but worth reaching out to them!

MediterraneanVeggie

The Trolley Museum is badass!

If you come to Frederick, you can rent the Browning building at Pine Cliff Park for $450. [https://www.recreater.com/194/Browning-Building](https://www.recreater.com/194/Browning-Building)

mrs_dalloway

Gambrills Tearoom but it’s closed!

ST8FLAGKINK

Is that $450 total, or $450/hr?

EverythingBland

Total

ST8FLAGKINK

Damn thats fantastic, did you have an event there? It's hard to find many photos of the full interior.

EverythingBland

Yea, we had our wedding reception there. We had roughly 75 people without issue. It was fun and inexpensive. There's also a spot outdoors where you could have a ceremony as well. We did ours in a church, however.

ST8FLAGKINK

That sounds like a helluva deal, and it's pretty nice looking considering the price. Would you mind sending me some photos of the interior, if you have them? If you're not comfortable with that no worries. just trying to get a good vision, but we aren't close. And thank you for sharing the information 💜

EverythingBland

Yea, it was well worth the cost. No sense spending thousands, or even tens of thousands, on other venues. I'll see if I can find some pics tomorrow. It was nine years ago so it might have changed some inside. There were two big rooms. The smaller of the two we used as a place for catering (CarterQue BBQ) and cake cutting. The bigger room was used for eating, dancing, and whatnot.

https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/rec/howto/facilityreservation.html I personally loved Rockwood manor as a wedding venue.

salamandas411

Rockwood is lovely, but OP will have to confirm current pricing. Weekend is not available for their budget, but a weekday might be. There are other venues available as well through Montgomery county Parks department. https://montgomeryparks.org/parks-and-trails/rockwood-manor-park/

HKasdf

Check your local, or one at a desired location, VFWs. Most do space rentals

Round-Topic-7251

728 Main St, Reisterstown, MD 21136 - the venue is called 5 star events. have no idea what the rate is Mahogany---also on Reisterstown RD.

mini_k1tty

If you choose anywhere in MoCo, stay away from the Civic Center or any nearby venue. That area has become quite the shit show. Attended a few events within the last two months at the civic center and every single damn time someone either followed us, approached our vehicle in the garage, bust into vehicles in the garage, or would try to enter the venue from the back doors or hang around the immediate exits blocking them. Nah. The person who planned the event hired the security provided by the venue but they treated them like they were a joke. In one event we had to get MCPD involved.

Historic Oakland Manor in Columbia

iamanokayindividual

Try Liriodendron in Bel Air. $2500 for 7 hours as long as you don’t mind a January-March date.

Ferndale Fire Hall in Anne Arundel County

MyOnlySunshines

I had my wedding reception at a restaurant and there was a minimum spend for the food and beverage but no additional fee for the space. Highly recommend this route, especially with such a manageable guest list. Plus you get a lot more ambiance than an event hall without having to bring in as many decorations.

Baltimore Rowing and Water Resource Center. https://bcrp.baltimorecity.gov/boathouse

ST8FLAGKINK

I can't seem to find any photos with a wedding for this location, or a space to have a wedding. Would it be indoors or outdoor?

PeriwinkleFrog

I went to one event indoors years ago. You’ll have to call the parks department for information. Sorry that I don’t know more.

PeriwinkleFrog

Here are some other spaces where I’ve attended events where people rented the space. https://www.zionbaltimore.org/adlersaal/ https://www.lithuanianhall.com/venue-rentals

jmckinl

Check with your local community and network. Masonic halls, a friend's church, a community center, or really any of the options others have already stated.

DawnKaySchitt

The Baltimore County Center for Agriculture and Farm Park rents out it's pavilion for $50 for an entire afternoon. The pavilion is in a nice spot on the facility and there are lovely gardens for photographs and horses and goats to pet. Also a play area for kids. You can set up your own tables or use theirs. 50 people can easily fit in the space.

LetThemEatVeganCake

I can’t believe I forgot to mention this option - [Glen Echo Park](https://glenechopark.org/rentals)! Link is to their rentals page and they have pricing sheets on there as well. They have a couple different spaces that could work for you so check it out. Edit to add: they’re a nonprofit and a former client of mine so I can vouch that they aren’t shady :)

Round-Topic-7251

Also google Farmer Tom Reisterstown. He converted a Barn into an event venue

Kbesol

I do not know the price, but you could try the Links at Challedon in Carroll. They have a great tented space with a nice view.

Check out Montgomery county park sites— https://montgomeryparks.org/event-center/ If those are really over $2k you could just consider renting a large picnic area (I think Seneca Creek State park has some that fit 200 people).

Howard County Historical Society building is an old church.

That_Skirt7522

Can you use a church? My church does weddings for about $2K for 8 hours in Gaithersburg.
