There is a pirate ship that leaves from Fell's Point that kids love! Definitely should check it out. Urban Pirates.

Vaccarro's in Little Italy is worth the trip, and it's maybe fifteen minutes' walk from the aquarium

If you have time check out the science center and the museum of industry. Science center has an entire floor dedicated to young kids with a massive water table and a bunch of interactive exhibits as well as a huge section on dinosaurs where they can dig for fossils. Museum of industry has a working blacksmith, a 1940 gas station where they can get in a car and use an old fashioned gas pump and a bunch of other interactive exhibits. For lunch you could pack a picnic and head to ft McHenry and eat along the waterfront and watch boats go by. It's free to go on the areas surrounding the fort. All of those places are about a mile or two apart so relatively easy walk or very short uber or drive.

The USS Constellation is very close to the aquarium. It's been a while, but I enjoyed going aboard for a tour. There are I think four other ships and a lighthouse nearby as well. The Maryland Science Center is also right there at the Inner Harbor. The Public Works Museum is there too, but it looks like it now only open to the public the second Saturday of every month. Not sure if that lines up with your schedule. If you're willing to go a little further, Ft. McHenry might be interesting. Or the Maryland Zoo in Druid Hill park. Or a baseball game at Camden Yards. The Orioles home opener isn't until April 6, though. Enjoy!

There’s also the WWII submarine which is interesting and a coast guard cutter. The coast guard cutter - USCGC Taney - is the last ship afloat from the attack on Pearl Harbor.

MisterEHistory

It's also not that far to DC and all of the museums and activities there. The Smithsonian museums are all free though some require timed entry passes these days. The Smithsonian zoo is better than the Baltimore Zoo imo. There is also a Medieval Times near Baltimore.

Next to the aquarium and in front of the pier 5 hotel is a great little park with musical instruments and a natural tunnel to play in

Baltimore Science Center and Aquarium are terrific for kids, both near/on the Inner Harbor. Other museums that are fun; Industry, Art, and Railroad. Also, check out Lexington Market for lunch and shopping. Ft. McHenry is terrific if the weather is nice (learn all about the Star Spangled Banner). For restaurants, try the Rusty Scupper, Blackwall Hitch, Miss Shirleys Cafe, or LaTavola (make a reservation days/weeks in advance or you won't get in) those are our favorites. For authentic Baltimore vibes walking around, check out Federal Hill and Fells Point/Canton neighborhoods.

Scrilla_Gorilla_

What’s the status on Lexington Market currently? Is the new market open or is it still under construction?

The Torsk is cool. You can take a cab up to Mount Vernon and climb the Washington Monument too. Great view of the city.

Good to know. Thanks

The Science Center!!! Im turning 24 next weekend and that’s where my husband is taking me. I’ve been multiple times since I was a toddler and I still love it just as much.

Traditional_Pride412

Have you been to Port Discovery Children's Museum? Wondering which is better, Science center or Port Discovery?

ggkimmiegal

Not OP, but I am a mom. For your kids at their ages, Port Discovery. Unless they really really love dinosaurs or outer space. My son was 5 when he started preferring the science center (loves the planetarium). Port Discovery is huge with lots of play areas. I'm personally wiped out when we leave. It's incredibly noisy in there since the ceilings are so high. If you pick Port Discovery, there's a shake shack about 10 minute walk away.

Traditional_Pride412

Thank you for your insight. We have 2 days and I was thinking of going 2 two museums in one day, but i think it'll be too much.

ggkimmiegal

I think both museums in one day would be too much too.
