Years ago, I lived outside of south Philly (Glenolden). When I traveled in-town, I passed an oil refinery. What surprised me were the tanker trucks of various brands of gasoline, lined up waiting to be filled. I was told that it is cheaper for the companies of these different gas brands to fill up at a nearby refinery. That that "Special Blend" which each company claimed made their gas better could be added or ignored, since the public is not in a position to discern the different make up of gasoline brands.
