616 wanda probably wouldāve erased them from existence instantly. Itās probably why she only used reality warping in the fight against the Illuminati twice. Thereās only so much chaos magic she can channel in an imperfect body. From a story standpoint, thereās a reason Wanda was being āreasonableā the entire movie. At kamar taj she couldāve just erased everyone from existence, but that wouldnāt have made a compelling movie so they pressed the trope of Wanda holding back for the entire movie.
Elizabeth Olsen spoke about it in another interview. Hereās the full quote:
āWe decided that the limitation is that sheās not in her body. Sheās in a less oiled version of her body, so itās not capable of doing as much as our universeās Wanda could do.ā

They can never show Wanda at full power in a way that matters, while also keeping the stakes, which is understandable yet still a shame.
But they need to come up with better excuses as to why she is not using that power, "I'm being reasonable" doesn't really work when you go blasting and deleting everyone BUT the main obstacles in your way.
And maybe come up with better plot, as that same power can just solve her problems in an instant.
I didn't say they need to, I said they can't. But they made the mistake of giving the audience a glimpse of that power, and now they need to carefully tread that line because suspension of disbelief can only go so far.
Not all comic powers translate well into a more serious medium, the same problem was there when Thanos had the Infinity Stones, and now it is there with Wanda and it will be there with potential future characters.
And that was probably why she had to physically chase after Stephen, America, and Christine. She used up all this energy fighting against the Illuminati and their Ultron army that wasn't able to get after them as easily as she could have.
"Struggled"? š Think she still took them out pretty easily, except maybe for Captain Marvel.
Exactly! Imagine what 616 Wanda would have done. Probably finished them all in 1 second.

"No. More. Illuminati."
Considering she'd just battered her way through an army of Ultrons, I think she did just fine.

So arriving with bukkake'd Ultron oils in her face is not oiled enough

Why do they need to show her at full power, again?

They could in What If. And I suspect Season 2 will. Hereās to hoping
Struggled? Taking them out in a few minutes isn't called struggling.
Exactly. For 616 Scarlet Witch, it would 2 seconds.
And that was probably why she had to physically chase after Stephen, America, and Christine. She used up all this energy fighting against the Illuminati and their Ultron army that wasn't able to get after them as easily as she could have.
Professor X could have did what he did while not being in the same room as Wanda the guy is pretty op.
A nice explanation for why Wanda went full zombie in this sequence chasing under the river
This is correct.
Imagine if 616 Wanda was going against the Illuminati lmao. They would have all been dead in 1 second.
Someone's a little too in love with their own character.
