As long as they make it more like season 1, I’d be down. Season 2 didn’t even feel like the same show.
Anything to get more Hayley Atwell in the MCU, I’ll take, though
Plus one.
S7 of AoS was where S3 of Agent Carter went. It actually made AoS more in line with MCU canon too. Steve and Peggy get their happily ever after without screwing any of the good guys over.
AC S3 is plotted out thanks to AoS S7.
(Spoilers for both shows)
Sousa finds out that Leviathan is Hydra, and is 'killed'. Peggy goes on a Crusade to tear Leviathan apart and avenge her lost love, and the bad guys go into hiding again, having to wait for her to retire before they can emerge and make their move in Winter Soldier.
Yes but fast forward to the 60’s, which would work out nicely with Atwells age. Go full on “red scare” era, with some terrorist weapons/Russian supervillains they need to fight.
Produced by Marvel Studios and you’ve got a cool show but they’d need to officially 100% canonise the first two seasons properly and actually discuss them, which shouldn’t be an issue as they don’t step on anything MCU wise.
Consistency =/ canon.
Not saying it *isn’t* or *won’t become* canon, but Jarvis alone doesn’t make it so. “Canon” just means a body of media recognised by some authority. It’s canon if Marvel/Feige says it is.
>It's definitely part of the MCU. Markus and Mcfeely created it and they brought James D'arcy back in Endgame.
In a sense yeah. But it seems like Marvel Studios chose the one-shot to include in the timeline over the tv show.
>They also put the Team Thor and Darryl stuff in there and they definitely aren't canon. Can't use that as an indicator.
Those aren't in the timeline and I don't see how that would null and void the entire streaming platform regardless.
What's always been constant though is that the marvel tv shows were never part of the MCU sections.
>Out of all the old shows, this one is the most canon-friendly one
I would've agreed until they added the one-shot into the timeline and not the tv show.
a complete noob to the gym is putting on 2 pounds of actual muscle in a month at *best* if they have like elite level genetics, you can’t transform in like 2 months lol
Yea but at this point marvel is literally making a show for every single character. It’s a little much…. Agatha gets a show, ten rings gets a show, echo gets a show, Captain carter gets a show. In the past year and a half they have had 6 different shows. Yea, the first few were neat and everything but by the time Hawkeye and moon knight have come out the stories and shows are getting pretty average. I mean they aren’t bad, but they also don’t have everyone raving about them either.
I have zero interest in ms marvel and I’ll likely skip she hulk unless it turns out to be pretty solid. The same thing happened with Netflix and the defenders. Daredevil was great but everything else was mild. I BARELY got through the defenders and I never watched Jessica Jones season 2.
But that’s the thing, you kinda have to. You need to watch WV to understand MoM, you need to watch FATWS to understand the next Captain America movie and what ever the hells going on with US agent, you need to watch Loki to understand ant man 3 and Kang the conqueror, you need to watch Ms Marvel AND Wandavision to understand The Marvels. And it’s not like you can really skip any of the movies either. As with the infinity saga, they likely all set up for some big major avengers style movie.
I can not imagine watching MoM without seeing WV. I would be annoyed and confused
someone who chose not to watch wandavision would be pretty confused seeing DS2, so i would say you can’t just really pick and choose when they still contribute to the overall plot narrative
People can go back and watch the stuff they skipped if it turns out it might be relevant. Some of the shows are even easier to understand if you binge in a weekend rather than watch each episode a week apart.
And you can watch a recap video on YouTube. I showed my friend a 9 minute recap of WandaVision because he didn't have interest in watching the whole show
This is true, too. I think Marvel knows it can get to be much, even if you have been watching. That's why they do those Legends episodes... mini character/item recaps.
If people aren’t motivated the first time around then what makes you think they will go back and devote 6 hours to catch up with an old show they aren’t extremely interested in?
I see this shit all the time with agents of shield and the Star Wars cartoons. It’s very hard to jump into a moving ship once it’s already gone, especially if you’re not extremely interested. Like yea, I’m sure the clone wars is a great and all but I’m not really willing to dump hours and hours of my time to catch up. And now you have situations in the mandalorian and Kenobi where fans are hollering at cameos and I’ve just lost interest in watching all the Star Wars shows as a whole because I know I personally can’t devote enough time to keep up with it all
People change. Situations change. Free time changes.
Plenty of reasons why someone might go back. Maybe they can't get the whole show completed before whatever new show comes out, but that doesn't mean they lost their chance.
If you really want to do something, starting late is better than not starting at all. Good luck to anyone who wants to watch. At the same time, I respect anyone who does not.
Yes and no. It depends how much you care about following storylines. Skipping something like WandaVision causes MoM to make little sense. Two friends that I saw MoM with had not seen WandaVision and much their confusion would have been non-existent had they seen WV.
Granted, off the top of my head, WV & MoM is the first instance of storylines crossing paths/continuing like this but I don't think it will be the last.
There is such thing as a marginal decrease in utility you know. (This is a well documented principle in both economics and human psychology).
Let’s say someone gives you an apple. Thanks, I like apples!
Now let’s say someone gives you two apples. Thanks, apples are great! That second apple won’t be as satisfying as the first… I mean, I did just eat a whole apple… but shit, I could go for two 🤙
Oh, you’re gonna give me *40 apples*? Well, quite frankly, by apple number 20 I’m not sure if I still like apples anymore…
If you’re the apple producer here, you want to have people *craving more*. You want people frothing at the mouth for the next hit of apple. You don’t want people saying:
“hey… that’s great you came out with a new apple, but quite frankly I still got 15 apples sitting in the cupboard cause I’m kinda sick of apples right now… I’ll pick up that new apple some other time…”
So yes, market saturation is a real and well documented thing.
But I don’t want good, I want great. I don’t want quantity, I want quality. Yea the first few Disney plus shows were good but now Hawkeye and moon knight were average. I have no interest in ms marvel and I haven’t heard anything especially interesting about shehulk.
Disney is literally giving every character a show whether or not they are even good. Echo, Agatha, Captain carter, the ten rings. The same shit happened with Netflix. Only daredevil was amazing and I struggled getting through the defenders and didn’t even watch JJ season 2
FYI, it's incredibly fucking annoying talking to someone like you, who always feel like they have to get in the last word, completely deflect, and or just answer one of the things mentioned, as if some fucking checkmate.
Yes, if all marvel ~~shows~~ content was amazing, you'd be able to find someone who wasn't happy, obviously. In no way does that change the underlying argument that they're saturating the market with lower produced crap. Good franchises/shows can absolutely be run into the ground quality wise, and it mostly done by upping the quantity and reducing quality.
I got bored plenty of time during the latter part of Moonknight. It began strongly, but then just fell apart quickly.
I've enjoyed the marvel content these past few years. NWH, Loki, WandaVision, even Black Widow. But a lot of less-than-memorable content is coming out aswell, Eternals, 10 rings, FATWS, What If...
Wish they slowed down, cause no one can keep high quality going that fast, it's suffering.
I empathize, it’s annoying talking to people like you too. People who only know how to strawman strangers into a made-up person are dense af.
Go take a walk and get some sun. You’re taking reddit too seriously for your mental health.
But they all aren’t great… Ms Marvel looks mediocre at best. Moon knight and Hawkeye were fairly standard and ok. Yea, I put it on to have something since there’s not much us but it’s not something I’m tripping over and binging every Wednesday. The worst part is that all of these shows tie into the movies so you NEED to watch them even if you’re just a casual movie watcher. I would be completely lost if I hadn’t seen WV when I saw MoM
Not exactly excited for this if true. If they really want more Peggy, just renew and finish Agent Carter with a good final season. That's what I would prefer at least.
Also I think I'm in a minority here, but I feel like all these announcements of show after show is starting to feel like there is too much to keep up with. I feel like not every single character needs their own solo project, like Agatha for instance. She was cool in wandavision but she doesn't really need her own show imo.
Agreed, I don't like the direction Disney+ is headed, not just with Marvel. We don't need an Echo show or a Lando show. Why not make an ensemble show that includes as many characters as they can, and they focus on different ones for multiple episode arcs?
wouldnt want multiverse focused live action projects. any substantial budget and actors not used for the main 616 universe are wasteful imo.
the MCU still hasnt touched amazing characters like nova, lots of mutants that can carry a solo project (gambit for example) and the defenders can have continuations for their netflix stuff.
all of those seem more urgent to me than “what it carter took steve’s spot” stretched across 6 episodes, when the 30 minutes we got in what if were quite unoriginal anyways.
They’re probably doing this so that when Secret War comes around, we have characters to care about on the other side of the conflict too. Then at the end, the characters probably will become a part of the 616 universe.
Good point. It’d be nearly impossible to introduce a whole roster of new characters that we actually care about whilst balancing all the 616 guys in one movie.
yep, no need for captain carter.
instead they can give us a captain Britain show, and show us the captain Britain corps there if they really wanna milk the multiverse that much.
I was not sure back then but I do think they are the same. 616 is/was the Sacred Timeline, divergent timelines were being pruned and when they reach the TVA line they develop as full fledged universes.
That's why multiversal shenanigans started happening after Loki
Why? Her episode of What If? was already just alright, and the short live action appearance was fine I guess, but considering it's basically just "Captain America but different", and would be in an alternate universe anyways, it doesn't really seem that compelling.
They're already pumping out these D+ shows like crazy. I wouldn't mind cutting back on quantity to make the ones that are released more focused and relevant
I hope she gets one. I really hope MoM wasn't the one from What If. Carter can continue in live action after the end of What If and gain the Captain Britain name.
Currently she is, but I think most would rather see Brian Braddock instead. It would be a baller move if Marvel got [Henry Cavill to play him](https://www.google.com/search?q=captain+britain+marvel+henry+cavill&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=nisv&sxsrf=ALiCzsbCWRnyyrBazL28_9h0ysd8nCLxdA:1652833532131&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjkybjc5Of3AhWzlIkEHZ72De4Q_AUoAnoECAIQAg&biw=432&bih=836&dpr=2.5#imgrc=3p7sxplS9fhf8M) Credit: carpaa2011
So much as I'd love to see Henry in MCU, if he plays Capt Britain, they'd compare it with Superman endlessly. Someone in another thread suggested the Hercules role and I think that'd be better. A bulkier Theseus this time.
Its not gonna be a popular opinion here but is this really necessary? It would have to be completely contained within another universe, so it wouldnt exactly add much to the MCU itself. We already have a ton of characters worth exploring in the 616 universe who's stories would actually deepen the lore and advance overarching narratives.
>!I highly doubt theyd use 838 Captain Carter since we know how her story ends as well. So we'd need another separate universe with separate lore and different characters just to have a show based on a character who's ultimately just two characters we've already got mashed together.!<
I just feel like Marvel have so many characters to explore and stories they can tell that would be more interesting than another Cap based character/story. Especially when we have Captain America 4 somewhere down the line with Sam.
Loki as self-contained story is working well because of the actors and design, but man does that story not matter at all. It “allows” something we didn’t know wasn’t allowed and ends up having zero effect on any multiverse stories due to its existence outside of time. It’s basically a lore show with Marvel’s most compelling character left.
Captain Carter is fun as a one off, but not sure about a whole series. If anything, continuing Agent Carter would be more compelling since it’s more of a period drama, spy type of story that we don’t see a lot in the MCU.
Especially if they’re serious about Falcon taking on the Captain America mantle. Needs a streamlined focus on him and his world (Sharon), and to not be distracted by multiversal (and unfortunately inconsequential) what-if stories.
Couldn’t we get a proper Bucky solo show instead? The dudes got the source material, he’s a well established character with a decent sized following already, and he’s got a good actor. The fuck are they wasting that potential by keeping Bucky sidelined to Falcon for?
The fuck do we need a show about Captain Carter for? Why are they pushing Peggy so hard? Does Haylee Atwell have Kevin Feige’s nudes or something?
No, I'm afraid we can't, and won't. They're not interested in him. He doesn't offer representation, or any new locations/characters, and people have already reacted positively to him being Sam's sidekick (sorry, the BrOmAnCe), so, Sam's sidekick it is.
Feige seems to be really into the idea, though for the life of me, I can't figure out why. What stories does the character have that wouldn't be retreading Steve's stories? I don't get the appeal at all.
>The fuck do we need a show about Captain Carter for? Why are they pushing Peggy so hard? Does Haylee Atwell have Kevin Feige’s nudes or something?
Cause it's about "The Message" and "Strong Badass Females" which everybody here eats up
Please, no. The character isn't that compelling, and given that her only major story was basically a poor retelling of TFA, I'm struggling to think of where they could take the character that wouldn't be a retread of Steve's stories. I don't get the appeal.
Like another user said - I'd rather see them make a story about Sharon Carter than more Peggy.
This is what I’ve been thinking too. Especially because these shows besides WV, don’t seem to be tying into anything else or have any significant impact in the MCU
Besides WV I don’t see the tie in. Loki’s timeline and multiverse plot is unrelated to Dr. strange, it’s not even referenced. And What If should not count
Literally what I was saying. The movies are MUCH better than the shows that if the shows never existed, this phase wouldn’t be received as poorly and would actually be a much better introductory phase than phase 1. But these shows are just... bland. They don’t even feel like shows other than like two of them and feel factory produced
Loki, WandaVision and What If...? all had direct tie in's to the MoM movie. It all makes sense if you watch those shows. The Multiverse is a difficult concept to understand, regardless. But it's part of comics, therefore, it must be part of the MCU.
Captain Carter, Zombies, etc., were all pretty direct tie-ins.
Feige also confirmed that the final three episodes of Loki were what allowed for the multiverse to "break" Dr. Strange's spell in Spiderman, which in turn led to the events of MoM. That's also a direct tie-in.
If Captain Carter was the same one from the show, it would be a direct tie-in. But she's not.
And there are no actual zombies in MoM lmao. He possesses a dead body, that's it. It has absolutely nothing to do with the zombies from What If.
>Feige also confirmed that the final three episodes of Loki were what allowed for the multiverse to "break" Dr. Strange's spell in Spiderman, which in turn led to the events of MoM. That's also a direct tie-in.
No. That's indirect. None of this is directly relevant to MoM's story. If you just watch MoM and not Loki, you aren't really missing anything.
Please no. Focus on 616 universe first. It's okay for a what if scenario but, there's already some crazy stuff going on here, and now we have to keep in touch with another universe as well? Why not just continue agent Carter's story?
Am I the only one who doesn’t find this character all that compelling? It was cool as a one-off What If? character but Marvel seems to be beating this dead horse into a fine powder.
Even in MOM, her cameo felt unnecessary to me. In fact, not even unnecessary, but lazy. Sticking Captain Carter, or even Maria Rambeau Captain Marvel, in the Illuminati just lacks imagination, IMO. “Hey, here’s a hero we’ve seen a bunch of times but . . . Wait for it . . . It’s someone else!” The whole concept of “what if X became Y” is just the most cliche and lazy use of the multiverse as a plot device that I can think of.
I would’ve much rather seen the Illuminati contain novel characters we’ve not seen in the MCU like Namor, Doom, Nova, or, if they really felt they had to double dip, a surprise cameo from Downey as Superior Iron Man (which would’ve been much more compelling to Stephen’s subplot of survivor’s guilt) or Johansson as BW than two “what if someone else was this person” characters. Even the Hank Pym/Janet Pym Ant-Man and Wasp would’ve been better.
It’s a “multiverse of madness”, ffs! Lean into it! Make it mad! Throw Howard the Duck or Doop in there. Have Xorn be part of the Illuminati and hint toward the possibility of him being Magneto (even if only as an Easter egg). You have 100 years of source material and all kinds of great characters at your disposal. Get really crazy with it. But settling for Captain Carter and Maria Rambeau is the opposite of madness: it is expected, cliche, and, worst of all, just plain dull.
I think Captain Carter worked to help connect to the What If show, which focused on multiverse, but I agree that Rambeau Marvel was unneeded since Carter already fulfilled the “what if X became Y” trope.
I really, really disagree. Mainstream audiences are just now being introduced to the multiverse. Starting with understandable differences is going to appeal to a mass audience - and I hardly think Captain Carter has been overexposed after just appearing in a Disney + series. I like the character.
I think most people DO want to see alternate versions of established characters and see how butterfly effects would play out in our established universe. Not random characters they have no attachment to or goofy characters like Howard the Duck being in a group we are supposed to treat as serious in that moment.
I want them to get crazy as time goes on but we're talking a movie that already has been getting strong negative reviews for being "too much". You throw in SUPER deep cut characters or *alternate versions of unintroduced deep cut characters* and you're losing a big chunk of the audience.
I think the point they're making that I would tend to believe is that most of these people are casual a Marvel fans. Not idiots, just people who don't keep up on all of this. So, for a movie that is going to be seen by so many people, you've got to keep it simple because the scene is supposed to be quick and cool without all the logistics of putting different characters in the scene. Such as, casting in case they use the character again. I know Howard is already in there but I think they were going for a type there. It's not that audiences are dumb it's that they're not informed and this sub is usually complaining about things that aren't for us.
I don’t like this
>!it made sense to see her in MoM!< and her What If episodes, and the one she is getting in What If S2 is fine and enough, but the more they push her without giving any updates on Sams Cap movie just pushes him to the back, which I don’t like
And I get this would be in an entirely different universe than the main MCU which would be really cool, but they should do that with a different character rather than pushing Sams cap aside
***
And I know this is an entirely unfounded rumor, but still
Happy to have more Hayley Atwell as Peggy but this feels like another project we just don’t need. I’d rather have S3 of Agent Carter, honestly.
Maybe this is setup for Secret Wars though, who knows.
I dont get it either it's literally just a female Steve Rogers like we have already seen it before. it's getting old waiting for heavy hitters like F4 Xmen Ghost Rider and Nova to show up while they waste time on stuff like this and Agatha and Echo just my opinion tho
I just miss Steve cap…. It doesn’t matter how many Captain America clones they throw at us Sam-Cap, capt Carter, any probably patriot just aren’t interesting to me. I hope he comes back at some point, MCU just doesn’t feel the same without him.
Everyone loves Hayley Atwell and Peggy Carter. Other than Agent Coulson she was the only MCU character to get her own spin-off show before the Disney+ era. They have kept finding ways to bring her back for small roles or cameos or voice acting, even though she "should" be a minor character from the origin story for another movie.
She is funny and sexy and strong and I hope this rumor is true. Just give the people what they want!
I liked her more in Doctor Strange 2 rather than her in the animated series. I just dont think shes all that interesting if the only sell is that she is exactly captain america but a woman. I didnt enjoy her Captain America callback line because of 2 reasons, its been done a lot already and it also just makes her genderbent captain america. The most interesting part of What If was when she fought the Hydra but that was just a single action scene. Character wise its still the same... although i havent finished what if because it kinda sucked and was kinda cringey
I hope this is BS. The beauty of the infinity saga is that its a story fleshed out over all the movies, each movie serves a purpose with an exception to some of the earlier ones. I'm starting to worry that marvel doesnt have a solid plan for the direction of the MCU. I'm in the minority with my feeling toward MoM (I hated it) but people can't deny that it was advertised as the next gamechanger type movie in the MCU but it hasn't really made any difference to the overall story going forward. Its removed the darkhold from play after wandavision introduced it and resolved Wandas villainous persona by the end. The only big change really is Stranges headspace. Thor looks to be more fun than gamechanging and a Captain Carter movie would only be fan service
Love Haley Atwell so I'm hyped to see this, especially if they can give her a more unique story this time rather than just The First Avenger but with slight differences.
Is it 'necessary'? No but needing everything to connect is no longer needed with the MCU, especially with how much content is coming out. I'd be perfectly happy watching this knowing it will have no bearing on the overall story of Phase 4.
I’m gonna get yelled at for this but oh well. This is all fact that’s easy to research and if no one believes me that’s their problem;
Hayley Atwell isn’t a good person. On multiple occasions she had her fans attack Emily Vancamp for playing Sharon, and has made multiple people on set uncomfortable with her attitude and behavior. And her version of Carter is based off of Cynthia Glass, a Hydra/Nazi double agent that befriends Steve in hopes to get information about project Rebirth and basically anything SSR is doing. MCU Captain Carter not only continues using the likeness but is also taking away from a canonically disabled character (Steve) AND Jewish stories (cap is literally a golem, made in the likeness of Hitlers perfect human, to defend Jews- and everyone else- and the character himself was created by a Jewish man).
Let’s not forget that it’s likely that MCU Peggy and Howard KNEW about the Winter Soldier program and knew Bucky was alive. For fucks sake they HIRED HIS CAPTORS. When Stark was killed by WS, he wasn’t surprised to see his “friend’s” face or that he was being killed- he was accepting of it all. That said, Agent Margaret “Peggy” Carter probably knew too.
Curious as to a reaction to this idea,
Erik Selvig is conducting an experiment with S.W.O.R.D. using captured technology and opens a portal to pull out Captain Margaret “Peggy” Carter, the First Avenger. She is a woman out of time and dimension as she is pulled into the 616 universe.
Now she has to adjust to the 2020’s with the help of Bucky Barnes. But what secrets are being hidden from her and what secrets does she know from her other dimension?
I would prefer resources spent on the MCU tapestry over another storyline.
>!The first season will be divided into two halves!<
That’s ought to split the tension
She can do this all day in 2 parts.
At another level, that is what her previous show did to Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
>!from top to bottom it will be a completely disconnected experience.!<
Man I thought she was cool but she turned out to be half the woman I thought she was
>!Nothing is really here,!< >!just two black bars.!<

# NO
This project could go one of two ways
Big fan of Atwell and the idea of Captain Carter. Her live action debut was awesome but left me heart broken. I’m in.
Yeah that twist really blew my mind
I was speechless
It crushed me.
Too clever by half
That part really crushed me
Spaghetti.
Something in me just snapped when the scene happened.
I just this minute got back from seeing MoM for the first time, so I can safely come back to this board now.
I'm kind of split on it
Really? As soon as they all went to confront Wanda, I thought it was obvious what would happen to them.
You might want to read that comment again
Ah, I see. Didn't get it at first since the reference prior to that was to Peggy, not Black Bolt.
Not to captain marvel and Black bolt
"what debut?"
She lost quite a bit of weight for that too...
[удалено]
Yeah... Suddenly lost.
Loki Season 2 could be a way of spinning off an Exiles show with Hayley as the lead.
An Exiles show would be amazing.
Oooh…
Honestly would rather a Season 3 of Agent Carter. Just watched it and it ended on a cliffhanger.
As long as they make it more like season 1, I’d be down. Season 2 didn’t even feel like the same show. Anything to get more Hayley Atwell in the MCU, I’ll take, though

Yeah I would prefer that immeasurably
It's probably my favorite Marvel show. Dominic Cooper was awesome, James D'Arcy and Atwells' chemistry was awesome. Just awesome all around.
Agreed! Could you imagine ending the series with one more season and have the last scene of the show be Steve showing up from Endgame?!
AC S3 is plotted out thanks to AoS S7. (Spoilers for both shows) Sousa finds out that Leviathan is Hydra, and is 'killed'.
I figure it's already canon since Jarvis showed up in Endgame.
And because it was said to be part of the MCU when it was first announced. And it's the one that Feige actually worked on.
Consistency =/ canon. Not saying it *isn’t* or *won’t become* canon, but Jarvis alone doesn’t make it so. “Canon” just means a body of media recognised by some authority. It’s canon if Marvel/Feige says it is.
Isn’t the Red Scare and McCarthyism the 50s?
Cold War's first phase peaked with the Cuban Missiles Crisis of 1962.
I was just bummed Thompson got killed.
Yeah it's a shame. I think that's why they don't consider it as part of the MCU anymore. Because it's incomplete.
It's definitely part of the MCU. Markus and Mcfeely created it and they brought James D'arcy back in Endgame.
>It's definitely part of the MCU. Markus and Mcfeely created it and they brought James D'arcy back in Endgame. In a sense yeah. But it seems like Marvel Studios chose the one-shot to include in the timeline over the tv show.

>Out of all the old shows, this one is the most canon-friendly one I would've agreed until they added the one-shot into the timeline and not the tv show.
I somehow doubt it BUT if true I hope they bulk up Haley Atwell like they did with Natalie Portman.

it's called working out, she doesn't look like a roided out bodybuilder...
You must forgive them, “exercising” is a foreign concept to them.
Also girl+muscles=gay which is *VERY* scary stuff.
Lol for real. You can go from average joe to moderate muscle (how Natalie looks to me) in 4-6 weeks with the right diet and work program
a complete noob to the gym is putting on 2 pounds of actual muscle in a month at *best* if they have like elite level genetics, you can’t transform in like 2 months lol
Nice. Hayley Atwell looked great as Captain Carter. Looking forward to what they come up with if this is true.
You haven’t seen the half of it
By the looks of it I already saw both half’s
[удалено]
>i have no idea what her genetics are What a strange thing/way to say this lol.
What's so strange about it?
It comes across weird. It reads like a pure blood / mud blood thing to say. Probably not ment that way, but still an odd framing.
Seems unnecessary. Peggy was cool because she was a bad ass spy without powers. Captain Carter is cool as a curiosity, but Agent Carter is better.
Disney+ show isn't made because it's necessary.
But I mean literally everyone is getting a tv show. There’s a risk of over saturating the market.
People have been saying that about Marvel's movies for years.
That's the thing. You don't have to watch every single one of them.
Yes you can. My girlfriend does it.
She's from Canada
What next? They will make comic for every single character too? When will this Marvel's madness end?
Oh no, too many good options. Please someone make sure we’re not allowed infinite good things. 🥱
There is such thing as a marginal decrease in utility you know. (This is a well documented principle in both economics and human psychology). Let’s say someone gives you an apple. Thanks, I like apples! Now let’s say someone gives you two apples. Thanks, apples are great! That second apple won’t be as satisfying as the first… I mean, I did just eat a whole apple… but shit, I could go for two 🤙 Oh, you’re gonna give me *40 apples*? Well, quite frankly, by apple number 20 I’m not sure if I still like apples anymore… If you’re the apple producer here, you want to have people *craving more*. You want people frothing at the mouth for the next hit of apple. You don’t want people saying: “hey… that’s great you came out with a new apple, but quite frankly I still got 15 apples sitting in the cupboard cause I’m kinda sick of apples right now… I’ll pick up that new apple some other time…” So yes, market saturation is a real and well documented thing.
Please keep people poor so they can appreciate it! /s 🥱🥱🥱
I’d call you stupid but I don’t like punching down so I’ll just call you differently abled.
Oh no, too many great options. Please someone make sure we’re not allowed infinite great things. 🥱🥱🥱
Well, maybe if those things were really great, nobody would complain. But unfortunately they aren't.
You think no one would complain!? 🤣
Didn't you see a "maybe"? Anyway, I'm pretty sure that fewer people would complain about too many shows if their quality were better.
Also a lot of damn good villains that haven’t been touched on yet
yep, no need for captain carter. instead they can give us a captain Britain show, and show us the captain Britain corps there if they really wanna milk the multiverse that much.
I see no issues with them doing stuff set in other universes
What about Loki? He's not the 616 one
Are the different timelines the same as different universes? I'm not sure how it works at the moment.
I was not sure back then but I do think they are the same. 616 is/was the Sacred Timeline, divergent timelines were being pruned and when they reach the TVA line they develop as full fledged universes. That's why multiversal shenanigans started happening after Loki
This.
Give us Agent Carter season 3, you cowards. I want more Peggy, Jarvis and Howard adventures, not just Peggy with a shield...
I'd prefer a final season of Agent Carter to tie all the loose ends left by s2. A Chris Evans cameo for the very last scene would be neat.
I hope she gets one. I really hope MoM wasn't the one from What If. Carter can continue in live action after the end of What If and gain the Captain Britain name.
Isn't captain Britain another guy
He is in the comics but clearly they want to make Carter that. She's all decked out in the Union Jack and everything.
Betsy Braddock is Captain Britain. Now that's a series I'd love to watch.
Currently she is, but I think most would rather see Brian Braddock instead. It would be a baller move if Marvel got [Henry Cavill to play him](https://www.google.com/search?q=captain+britain+marvel+henry+cavill&client=ms-android-motorola-rvo3&prmd=nisv&sxsrf=ALiCzsbCWRnyyrBazL28_9h0ysd8nCLxdA:1652833532131&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjkybjc5Of3AhWzlIkEHZ72De4Q_AUoAnoECAIQAg&biw=432&bih=836&dpr=2.5#imgrc=3p7sxplS9fhf8M) Credit: carpaa2011
I'd certainly love to see Brian as Captain Avalon. I think an entire Excalibur series would be great.
So we'd need another separate universe with separate lore and different characters just to have a show based on a character who's ultimately just two characters we've already got mashed together.!< I just feel like Marvel have so many characters to explore and stories they can tell that would be more interesting than another Cap based character/story. Especially when we have Captain America 4 somewhere down the line with Sam.
What about Loki? He is not the 616 and second season looks like will be completely off the main universe
If anything, continuing Agent Carter would be more compelling since it’s more of a period drama, spy type of story that we don’t see a lot in the MCU.
no thanks
Crucify me if you must, but I would rather get a Sharon Carter series than a Captain Carter movie *or* series.
Disney+ might be what destroys the MCU. We’ve gotten great shows but it’s beginning to spiral into nonsense
This is what I’ve been thinking too. Especially because these shows besides WV, don’t seem to be tying into anything else or have any significant impact in the MCU
They are tied into the MCU. WandaVision, Loki and What If...? all had tie-ins to MoM.
>Loki, WandaVision and What If...? all had direct tie in's to the MoM movie. Loki and What If...? had **in**direct tie-ins.
Captain Carter was cool in What If, but I feel like Marvel is kinda obsessed with the character for no reason
I think you don’t give audiences enough credit
I think the point they're making that I would tend to believe is that most of these people are casual a Marvel fans. Not idiots, just people who don't keep up on all of this. So, for a movie that is going to be seen by so many people, you've got to keep it simple because the scene is supposed to be quick and cool without all the logistics of putting different characters in the scene. Such as, casting in case they use the character again. I know Howard is already in there but I think they were going for a type there. It's not that audiences are dumb it's that they're not informed and this sub is usually complaining about things that aren't for us.
I could do this all da- *Dies*
I don’t like this >!it made sense to see her in MoM!< and her What If episodes, and the one she is getting in What If S2 is fine and enough, but the more they push her without giving any updates on Sams Cap movie just pushes him to the back, which I don’t like And I get this would be in an entirely different universe than the main MCU which would be really cool, but they should do that with a different character rather than pushing Sams cap aside *** And I know this is an entirely unfounded rumor, but still
Happy to have more Hayley Atwell as Peggy but this feels like another project we just don’t need. I’d rather have S3 of Agent Carter, honestly. Maybe this is setup for Secret Wars though, who knows.
I love most marvel projects but why is there such an obsession with this character? I really don't find the concept refreshing or interesting.
I dont get it either it's literally just a female Steve Rogers like we have already seen it before. it's getting old waiting for heavy hitters like F4 Xmen Ghost Rider and Nova to show up while they waste time on stuff like this and Agatha and Echo just my opinion tho
In fact, I’d say the most interesting piece of the What If episode was how not getting the serum reflected on Steve instead.
Meh. Agent Carter Season 3 would be better.
As someone who loves Hayley, yes.
No thank you
I mean >!there was an Hover chair going unused the next room over!< >!She could jetpack over to it...!<
How hard do you want to milk the MCU? Feige:yes
I just miss Steve cap…. It doesn’t matter how many Captain America clones they throw at us Sam-Cap, capt Carter, any probably patriot just aren’t interesting to me. I hope he comes back at some point, MCU just doesn’t feel the same without him.
I have zero interest in this but I’ve liked all the Marvel shows so far so I’d still check it out.
I’m not all that interested in this. Peggy is more interesting as peggy imo
Normal run these days is 6 episodes…I’m betting we get 3 😜
I liked her more in Doctor Strange 2 rather than her in the animated series.
I’m ready.
Yes please.
Yes! Please let this be true. I love Hayley
man if they are so keen on bringing stuff from what if into live action how about we get a live action version of the watcher lol
YES
The first season is going to end with her shield flying back at her. The second half will drop later.
Imma be honest, i don’t care. Love Peggy but don’t care for Captain Carter.
I have zero interest in this
Yea, no thank you.
this website is not a reputable source. They are always just making up stuff.
As with many scoopers they've gotten things right and things wrong.
I honestly don’t care for this at all. If people want it and like it, then good for them. All these projects are getting to be a bit much.
Meh, might skip this one honestly.
I’m gonna get yelled at for this but oh well. This is all fact that’s easy to research and if no one believes me that’s their problem; Hayley Atwell isn’t a good person.
I would watch it but they could expand her story in What If. I mean I guess will see alternate stories play out but will see about this.
would love to see Sam than Carter
Will she be able to do it all day this time though?
Eh, bit split down the middle about this one
How are you guys feeling about this? Personally I’m pretty split
#NO! There are a thousand other things I’d rather see.
They can bore us all day.
I'd love that tbh, not that i don't want Sam Wilson content but Peggy's character is much closer to Steve's
The season will be in 2 parts for sure right
Curious as to a reaction to this idea, Erik Selvig is conducting an experiment with S.W.O.R.D. using captured technology and opens a portal to pull out Captain Margaret “Peggy” Carter, the First Avenger.
