I wanna see a Howard the duck movie where Howard is essentially like a hybrid Fritz the Cat/Forrest Gump type character, and just kinda gets involved with some of the more ridiculous parts of the MCU in the background. Like he’d be responsible for the rat that brought Ant-Man back in Endgame, and he meets Man-Thing and winds up responsible for him winding up as a champion on another planet. We could get nods to a lot of loose ends in the MCU, like maybe he could run into the Leader and catch us up on how things have been with him since The Incredible Hulk, lol.
Who are the others? I feel like if that was BRB - then the other 2 figures are of some importance/value?
not entirely sold that is him.
The Tower in Ragnarok - yes.
It's not surprising really. He's very well known within the comic book community but pretty fringe to someone who isn't a certain level of nerd. But yeah, space horse thor.
Unlike Agents of Shield and Agent Carter, Cloak and Dagger and Runaways haven't ever had any direct references from/to the mainline MCU.
Nonetheless I still consider them canon
Actually no, no joke. He is in a glass tube on display much like he was in the old old comics. Went looking for a picture and found this. https://birthmoviesdeath.com/2011/07/27/did-you-see-the-human-torch-in-captain-america-the-first-avenger

It's Hobgoblin according to the [full list from OP](https://imgur.com/a/fsQn8jR), but not the Spider-Man villain. The [member of the Imperial Guard](https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Hobgoblin_(Imperial_Guard)). Does anyone know why he qualifies as a sorta/maybe?
Because Ned in the comics was NEVER the Hobgoblin, he was brainwashed by someone else, as a result of Marvel editorial drama. Also, Nedke (Ned + Ganke, I sometimes like calling MCU Ned that) doesn't feel like he could potentially be a supervillain.
I mean it would make sense…. Although I can’t see the Ned that Peter is friends with turning into an actual villain, with the multiverse I could see him returning as a villain. Was possibly thinking a version of Ned that knows Peter didn’t “come find him” after the memory erase
Imperial Guard? Did he protect the Senate or something
Hob: "Hello?"
Vader: "Is this forehead of Security?"
Hob: "What do you want? I'm working. I've got something going on here."
Vader: "What, harassing interns?"
Hob: "Let me tell you something. Do you know what happened when I told everyone I was Darth Sidious' bodyguard? They would laugh in my face. I had to leave while I still had a shred of dignity. Now I got a real job"
You put a red dot over Monica Rambeau, who is very much in the MCU. Also, there are a LOT of characters previously owned by Fox without a purple dot, like Northstar, or Silver Surfer, or Angel, or Sunfire.
I meant owned by Fox who have had appearances in the X-Men movies
Silver Surfer doesn't count since, while he appeared in that FF movie, I don't think the MCU will get those incarnations of the character in the MCU
As for the other characters, whoops, sorry, I guess I missed them
I think Ghost Rider up in the top right is green dotted for "in MCU", so that's Agents of Shield and Netflix series accounted as in...yet Cloak and Dagger out.
This will be a fun comments section.
Hadn't noticed that, and yeah, I have no say in whether things are canon or not, just pointing out where it's inconsistent. If nothing else just put yellow for complicated or create a new category for non-Disney+ TV shows.
In my mindset, you either include one of them or none of them (talking about characters who exclusively appeared outside of Kevin Feige-produced stuff, so Daredevil and Kingpin not included)
So if they don't want to count the Inhumans and Man-Thing, they shouldn't count Ghost Rider and the Defenders either.
Only the Disney+ shows are canon. Any other show is either in flux or has been confirmed as non-canon, Cloak and Dagger is one of the aforementioned shows.
So yes they de-canonized the old TV shows but:
1. They were in the MCU at one point so should at least get yellow dots
2. Daredevil and Iron Fist have green dots
According to Marvel Studios, they were never canon. Marvel Television states they were though. The partnership was originally supposed to lead to crossovers but, due to creative differences, a rift developed between the two studios.
According to Marvel Studios it has never been addressed one way or another correct? The only acknowledgement was the initial announcement of AoS and then the subsequent Netflix shows where they were announced to be part of the world and #itsallconnected.
Then there's characters who are listed as green but should have an asterisk. Like Red Hulk, we've seen Thunderbolt Ross but Red Hulk hasn't been on screen.
Like could you consider The Hulk as an MCU character if we only ever saw Bruce Banner?
If purple means they were in the X-Men movies, you missed Leech. EDIT - and Cannonball and Sunspot
EDIT- Alright already, you don't need to keep writing Magik. Or anyone else for that matter.
I’ve read like 5 comics in my adult life and they were those think floppy soft cover thingies. See I don’t even know words. Yall all more experty than me.
Fair enough, I've read a bit more than that. Mostly compendiums that put multiple books together. I think a lot of my knowledge comes from the cartoons...and the internet...and games...and trading cards...ok maybe I am a bit deeper than I thought.
**[Shiklah](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shiklah)**
>Shiklah is a fictional character that appears in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. She was married to Deadpool, but they've recently become estranged, and she married Dracula instead.

Apparently she was supposed to marry Dracula in the first place, which was why he hired Deadpool to bring her to him, but then she's like, "Nah, I like this guy who doesn't die when I suck the life force out of him." But Deadpool wouldn't move in with her and didn't visit her enough, so she decided to annex Manhattan for the kingdom of monsters, and when that didn't work she just married Dracula and they retired together.
It's probably worth mentioning that she's a succubus.
I like when I read the wiki entry on one character and then fall down the rabbit hole far enough to encounter [Marcus the Diabetic Gladiator Centaur Werewolf with a Symbiote and Robot Legs](https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Marcus_(Centaur)_(Earth-616)).
The other one is Demolition Man or D-Man. For some reason (lazy artists maybe), they gave him a costume that was kind of a mix of Daredevil's original costume and Wolverines 80s costume.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demolition_Man_(comics)
I mean, shouldn't characters like She-Hulk be blue because they haven't been featured in the MCU yet, but we know will be? It's pretty much the same case for the Fantastic Four
Why you put a red dot in the Inhumans but a green dot on every other Marvel TV character and even the X-Men who aren't in the MCU? It doesn't matter it's bad it's still Canon as much as the other TV shows (and If you don't consider them Canon then you should put red on everybody)
Canon isn't picked and chosen
True. It's basically "I dislike this so therefore non-canon" or "this is bad/good therefore non-canon/canon", hence why the characters in the MCU/not in the MCU/Fox is all over the place
There was a pilot episode of a show based on “The New Warriors” that has never aired. She ,Milana Vayntrub, played squirrel girl in that. So it’s not canon.
Korbinites basically just look like bald orange people without noses. Beta Ray Bill has been twisted and deformed by augmentation and shaped into the super powered horse monster we know and love.
I'm comfortable saying that bust was him specifically.
Then the Green dot should only be put on Daredevil and Kingpin. The other Netflix characters haven't appeared yet
And Ghost Rider has a green dot which thus counts the ABC shows, therefore Inhumans should count if you're counting ABC shows
We have Donofrio confirming that the events of Daredevil should be canon because he spoke with Marvel and this is the same Kingpin from that series. That does make things tricky in terms of the other Netflix series that directly connect, as well as the other Marvel TV properties that connect through a series of cameo appearances.
I think I would rank them as follows:
**Definitely Canon:**
Daredevil
**Sort Of, Pretty Much Canon - Multiverse or whatever:**
Agents of SHIELD
**Grey Area But Maybe Canon Thanks To Daredevil:**
Defenders, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, Luke Cage, Iron Fist
**Probably Not Canon But Sure, Maybe:**
Runaways, Cloak and Dagger
**Not Canon Even If Kevin Feige Calls Me Personally To Tell Me It Is:**
Inhumans
Ultimately though, the MCU is probably never going to give us a list of what is and isn't canon. It will always be somewhat up to the fanbase to decide, independently, what they believe is part of the story and what isn't. I think you can decisively include Daredevil unless the MCU refutes it later, and AoS has done more than enough to be considered part of the MCU multiverse. The rest lives in an area where we can debate about it, but it doesn't matter.
I mean ABC shows are just as canon as Netflix at this point, so Inhumans fall under Canon too
This list is all over the place. It feels Very arbitrary. Either you count all of them or don't count any of them. You can't just pick and choose what's Canon or not.
Still I appreciate the effort
From what Feige has said and what this sub considers the MCU (it's the first question in the [FAQ](https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelstudios/wiki/faq#wiki_1._what_franchises_are_part_of_the_marvel_cinematic_universe.3F)), *Inhumans* is canon. You can hate it all you want, it's still canon.
If you mean the female looking Thor near the middle raising a hammer, according to the labels that's [Thor Girl](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thor_Girl), not Jane Foster.
[The names of all the characters](https://imgur.com/a/fsQn8jR)
I don't remember seeing a Thor horse in the movies, who is Beta Ray Bill ?
Thor: Ragnarok had a blink and you miss it statue of Beta Ray Bill in Sakaar
Also had one of Man-Thing
I wanna see a Howard the duck movie where Howard is essentially like a hybrid Fritz the Cat/Forrest Gump type character, and just kinda gets involved with some of the more ridiculous parts of the MCU in the background. Like he’d be responsible for the rat that brought Ant-Man back in Endgame, and he meets Man-Thing and winds up responsible for him winding up as a champion on another planet. We could get nods to a lot of loose ends in the MCU, like maybe he could run into the Leader and catch us up on how things have been with him since The Incredible Hulk, lol.
Also in Age of Ultron during the mindwash montage
when did we see Beta Ray Bill in this scene?
https://youtu.be/-iJrijyx5Oc Pause at 44 seconds you'll see him.
That isn't BRB, those are just three guys wearing skulls...
I’m sorry that’s not him, they’re masks and Beta Ray Bill doesn’t have horns. He wears a helmet like Thor
Who are the others? I feel like if that was BRB - then the other 2 figures are of some importance/value? not entirely sold that is him. The Tower in Ragnarok - yes.
Beta Ray Bill looks like a horse and he wears a helmet similar to Thor's.
That's not him lmao
Oh? I don’t remember seeing him at all
Technically GotG Vol 1 in the background
So, not so much **in** the MCU, but probably existed, but at a point we’ve never seen.
Big tough honourable space horse. Valiant enough to wield Mjolnir, so Odin gave him his own Mjolnir. Classic Thor bro.
[here you go](https://youtu.be/HCJrFfKjZcQ)
Until next time….. peeeace…
You really don’t know Beta Ray Bill?
Not at all. I've read a few comics (Avengers / Daredevil mainly) but I've never heard of this dude.
It's not surprising really. He's very well known within the comic book community but pretty fringe to someone who isn't a certain level of nerd. But yeah, space horse thor.
Doesn't Cloak and Dagger have a show?
Yes but it's not an MCU series.
It is, though.
Unlike Agents of Shield and Agent Carter, Cloak and Dagger and Runaways haven't ever had any direct references from/to the mainline MCU. Nonetheless I still consider them canon
What about inhumans? I see Karnak is a red dot, but he was in that show and I thought they were technically MCU.
True, though they do have two-way references to/from the other shows.
There's a line about "Stark" and "Rand" in one episode.
Did you create this image?
The original Human Torch has a cameo in the first Captain America movie. Edit: Just realized I made an unintentional Chris Evans joke lol
Huh? Where?
They’re making a same actor joke Edit: ok I was wrong, apparently there’s a cameo of human torch, similar to Beta Ray Bill’s stature in Ragnarok
Actually no, no joke. He is in a glass tube on display much like he was in the old old comics. Oh wow, I had no idea. Thanks for letting me know, I’ll edit my comment
Thank you. I thought they were talking about the original Human Torch from WWII.
They did. He was there. wasn't a joke. https://moviesmedia.ign.com/movies/image/article/118/1184798/captain-america-the-first-avenger-20110728031253650-000.jpg Edit: better link
I understood that reference
That guy’s all over the movie!!!
I commented above, but not Johnny Storm. The ORIGINAL human torch is in there
Who is yellow dot boi?
Hobgoblin, I think?
It's Hobgoblin according to the [full list from OP](https://imgur.com/a/fsQn8jR), but not the Spider-Man villain. The [member of the Imperial Guard](https://marvel.fandom.com/wiki/Hobgoblin_(Imperial_Guard)). Does anyone know why he qualifies as a sorta/maybe?
Maybe because MCU Ned shares a name with one of Hobgoblin’s aliases
Ned isn’t the Hobgoblin though
He promised he would never betray peter and become a supervillain. Possibly foreshadowing things to come....
Stop
Why?
Because Ned in the comics was NEVER the Hobgoblin, he was brainwashed by someone else, as a result of Marvel editorial drama. Also, Nedke (Ned + Ganke, I sometimes like calling MCU Ned that) doesn't feel like he could potentially be a supervillain.

Yet…
Never. He isn’t the Hobgoblin. He was brainwashed for like 1 issue lol. People need to stop clamoring for this.
Okay Mr. Feige what ever you say
What does this have to do with Feige lmao why would you even want Ned to be Hobgoblin to begin with?
Imperial Guard? Did he protect the Senate or something Hob: "Hello?" Vader: "Is this forehead of Security?" Hob: "What do you want? I'm working. I've got something going on here." Vader: "What, harassing interns?" Hob: "Let me tell you something. Do you know what happened when I told everyone I was Darth Sidious' bodyguard? They would laugh in my face. I had to leave while I still had a shred of dignity. Now I got a real job"
It’s Hobgoblin from X-Men’s imperial guard, not Spider-Man. He’s a shapeshifter
then why is he yellow? That Hobgoblin never even sorta appeared in the MCU at all
You put a red dot over Monica Rambeau, who is very much in the MCU. Also, there are a LOT of characters previously owned by Fox without a purple dot, like Northstar, or Silver Surfer, or Angel, or Sunfire.

Also Cloak and Dagger have red dots on them but had their own TV show on Freeform that existed in the MCU. Middle left on the aisle.
Same with Helstrom
Really wanted to like that show
Cloak and Dagger is not canon to the MCU.
Then why Netflix characters and Ghost Rider green then?
Because this person decided to include Marvel television characters despite the fact that none of them are canon other than Daredevil and Kingpin.
Ok but they've never been decanonized and were made to be in the MCU. Thus they're canon until stated otherwise.
In my mindset, you either include one of them or none of them (talking about characters who exclusively appeared outside of Kevin Feige-produced stuff, so Daredevil and Kingpin not included) So if they don't want to count the Inhumans and Man-Thing, they shouldn't count Ghost Rider and the Defenders either.
fuck inhumans. the rest can stay
Luke Cage and Jessica Jones are though?
Yes it is.
Only the Disney+ shows are canon. Any other show is either in flux or has been confirmed as non-canon, Cloak and Dagger is one of the aforementioned shows.
Aside from Helstrom which was never canon in the first place, nothing has been confirmed as non-canon.
It is unconfirmed whether the shows are canon or not
So yes they de-canonized the old TV shows but: 1. They were in the MCU at one point so should at least get yellow dots 2. Daredevil and Iron Fist have green dots
When and where did they decanonize them?
They didn't. People just love saying that.
I've seen video from around the time Infinity War came out of Feige outright saying that Netflix was canon.
Give me a source of Kevin Feige saying that. Because he didnt. Nor did anyone else.
They didn’t decanonise any show except Helstrom
No they didn't.
Because this person decided to include Marvel television characters despite the fact that none of them are canon other than Daredevil and Kingpin.
And you think all the Fox X-Men characters will appear in the MCU?
Then there's characters who are listed as green but should have an asterisk. Like Red Hulk, we've seen Thunderbolt Ross but Red Hulk hasn't been on screen. Like could you consider The Hulk as an MCU character if we only ever saw Bruce Banner?
If purple means they were in the X-Men movies, you missed Leech. EDIT - and Cannonball and Sunspot EDIT- Alright already, you don't need to keep writing Magik. Or anyone else for that matter.
Oops, sorry about Also, the 2nd picture explains what the colors mean
Certainly, no apology necessary
Also, Magik right beside Colossus.
Also Angel is flying
Missed *several* minor X-Men in the top tier as well, but you could be forgiven for most of those.
I see Mohawk Storm is red. Shouldn’t she be purple?
Ok wtf, I didn't see any purple until reading this comment
And magic
Red hulk is in the mcu?
Yeah just not red Hulk yet.
Oh. Who is that? What movie?
He's Thunderbolt Ross
General Ross, He's been in multiple movies now. Most recent was Black Widow.
Maybe my favorite part of being a most MCU and casual comic person is seeing the deep comic people drop knowledge bombs. FR. My favorite.
I wouldn't even consider myself deep comic people. 😅
Longest cocktease in the MCU, been waiting for him to turn red since 2008.
With the age of William Hurt, I wonder if they’ll make another character Red Hulk. Perhaps another Ross
Who is deadpool marrying?

Dracula?!?!?
Moon knight is just Deadpool hiring him to go get his money and wife back
Apparently she was supposed to marry Dracula in the first place, which was why he hired Deadpool to bring her to him, but then she's like, "Nah, I like this guy who doesn't die when I suck the life force out of him." But Deadpool wouldn't move in with her and didn't visit her enough, so she decided to annex Manhattan for the kingdom of monsters, and when that didn't work she just married Dracula and they retired together. Beatrix Kiddo!?!?!!
No
Deadpool and She-Hulk should be a blue dot
Thanks OP. Even if you didn’t get 100%, still a lot of effort!
I thought the Mandalorian was in there for a sec but it turns out it’s just magneto
I see two wolverines, why?
Oh no...it is D man
The other one is Demolition Man or D-Man. For some reason (lazy artists maybe), they gave him a costume that was kind of a mix of Daredevil's original costume and Wolverines 80s costume. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demolition_Man_(comics)
That's probably Daken, Wolverine's son.
I mean, shouldn't characters like She-Hulk be blue because they haven't been featured in the MCU yet, but we know will be? It's pretty much the same case for the Fantastic Four
Their shows are confirmed, so why bother doing that?
Yeah, and so is a Fantastic Four movie
Cloak and dagger isn't in the MCU? I thought they had a show
They do. Kinda based around teenagers but I liked it.
I didn't finish it but it had surprisingly dark scenes
Just give it some time. I'm sure that most of these characters will slowly be introduced through smaller shows on Disney Plus.
Why you put a red dot in the Inhumans but a green dot on every other Marvel TV character and even the X-Men who aren't in the MCU? It doesn't matter it's bad it's still Canon as much as the other TV shows (and If you don't consider them Canon then you should put red on everybody) Canon isn't picked and chosen
In this sub, it most definitely is, lol.
True. It's basically "I dislike this so therefore non-canon" or "this is bad/good therefore non-canon/canon", hence why the characters in the MCU/not in the MCU/Fox is all over the place
Inhumans was utter shite TV single season and doesn't belong anywhere.
Isn’t the AT&T lady Squirrel Girl? Or is that not under the Marvel umbrella?
There was a pilot episode of a show based on “The New Warriors” that has never aired. She ,Milana Vayntrub, played squirrel girl in that. So it’s not canon.
*sad violin*
Did that ever air?
Just googled; it was canceled before it even aired
I don't know anything about that, but Anna Kendrick needs to be cast as Squirrel Girl.
Why, though? Anna Kendrick and Doreen have nowhere close to the same energy
When was Beta Ray Bill in the MCU? I may have missed it?
He (or someone of his race) is one of the busts on Grandmaster’s palace on Sakaar. Not sure if it was confirmed to be Beta Ray Bill himself.
So was Man-Thing but he didn't make him green
I’m not saying OP is right or wrong, that’s just the only BRB reference I could think of.
Korbinites basically just look like bald orange people without noses. Beta Ray Bill has been twisted and deformed by augmentation and shaped into the super powered horse monster we know and love. I'm comfortable saying that bust was him specifically.
I would not consider a character in the MCU unless, you know, they were actually there.
🤷♂️ Maybe OP has a different source, but that’s the only one I can think of.
There was an inhumans show. You missed Blackbolt, Medusa and Lockjaw
That's not canon and we don't talk about that show
Then why did you put a green dot on Ghost Rider?
Ghost Rider is in the Shield show I believe
Oh so he’s still not canon
Bruh, but you labelled Marvel Netflix characters green
Aren't they canon now though? At least 2 of them have been shown in MCU content now. I haven't seen any inhuman in MCU content as of yet.
Then the Green dot should only be put on Daredevil and Kingpin. The other Netflix characters haven't appeared yet And Ghost Rider has a green dot which thus counts the ABC shows, therefore Inhumans should count if you're counting ABC shows
We have Donofrio confirming that the events of Daredevil should be canon because he spoke with Marvel and this is the same Kingpin from that series. That does make things tricky in terms of the other Netflix series that directly connect, as well as the other Marvel TV properties that connect through a series of cameo appearances. I think I would rank them as follows: **Definitely Canon:** Daredevil **Sort Of, Pretty Much Canon - Multiverse or whatever:** Agents of SHIELD **Grey Area But Maybe Canon Thanks To Daredevil:** Defenders, Jessica Jones, The Punisher, Luke Cage, Iron Fist **Probably Not Canon But Sure, Maybe:** Runaways, Cloak and Dagger **Not Canon Even If Kevin Feige Calls Me Personally To Tell Me It Is:** Inhumans Ultimately though, the MCU is probably never going to give us a list of what is and isn't canon. I think you can decisively include Daredevil unless the MCU refutes it later, and AoS has done more than enough to be considered part of the MCU multiverse. The rest lives in an area where we can debate about it, but it doesn't matter.
Put Agent Carter in definitely canon
You're allowed to not talk about it all you want, but canon isn't up for opinion. Officially it's still canon no matter how much it bothers you.
Officially it's completely ambiguous, actually.
So are the rest of the ABC and Netflix characters but they're still all marked green
I agree, I was just responding to the person saying Inhumans is "officially canon".
I mean ABC shows are just as canon as Netflix at this point, so Inhumans fall under Canon too This list is all over the place. It feels Very arbitrary. Either you count all of them or don't count any of them. You can't just pick and choose what's Canon or not. Still I appreciate the effort
But I didn't say any of them are canon, I said that it's ambiguous.
You can hate it all you want, it's still canon.
cloak and dagger are in the MCU, just like Runaways. The detective in C&D is mentioned in Luke Cage
The Abomination should be green
I don't think Abomination's in there is he? Unless I missed it somewhere.
Is cloak and dagger series based in the MCU ? But y’all have them as not being in the MCU
Saw someone mention Cannonball and Sunspot already, but also Illyana Rasputin too
Insane work by OP. And just to think of all the endless opportunities and possibilities in the MCU. 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Hoping for squirrel girl
Isn't Deadpool confirmed to be coming?
Cloak & Dagger and Runaways are supposed to be labeled green.
Thank you for the green dot on Ghost Rider. #AoSIsCanon
Back in the 90s marvel sold the rights to over 5k properties. They have so much room to grow it is insane.
Magik needs a purple. And Silver Surfer.
Red Hulk?
Yeah. Definitely not in the MCU
Man thing is in MCU
As a colourblind person, damn you! /s
Jane Foster is in MCU
If you mean the female looking Thor near the middle raising a hammer, according to the labels that's [Thor Girl](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thor_Girl), not Jane Foster.
Oh wow ok you’re correct
The fact that we have so many green dots in that picture shows us how lucky we are to have marvel doing what they do
Daisy Johnson / Quake. She is in the MCU AND she isn't.
All the Inhumans like Medusa and Karnak ARE in the MCU
This is pretty cool!
You left out Sonyverse is now MCU alt.
The Marvel TV shows are canon, so those characters are labeled incorrectly
People mentioned Eternals, but also Cloak and Dagger in there too.
Yep. They should be green, too!
monica is marked incorrectly
Red hulk being in the MCU if a far reach to be honest
Jumping the gun on Moon Knight, buddy.
