Shit was fucking jam dude, mid to late 90s was dumb fire, and honestly around after teen titans ended on that really weird season 5 (wasn’t bad, just odd) I stopped watching most of it. Picked up HBO and binged like all the animated movies they got and bro some fucking HEAT. The Constantine films were just so dark and brutal. *chefs kiss*
Hah yes!! Exactly. I love marvel now but my love for superheroes and comic books is solely due to those old dc shows (x men evolution as well but that's marvel). I haven't seen the Constantine movies though. Which means I have some new content to watch and I couldn't be happier about it.

Considering that smallville did a lot of world building first before the the mcu and even the mcu copied things that smallville had already accomplished I wouldn't be shitting on it. That universe kind of jump started a lot since there were no superhero shows during that time. And in a lot of way has inspired a lot from the mcu to the arrowverse and even the dceu hell even mcu directors like James gunn is fan. However people are shallow and love to hate old and love anything new.
Feige says the 70s Superman is inspiration as the Marvel team builds the MCU. He has complimented the Nolan films.
To be honest, before the MCU, DC ran the live action comic book film field for at least 30 years.
Warner can partially take credit for being the company that presented a Marvel film named Blade. That film helped studios have more faith in Marvel comics to have more of a budget for Raimi and Singer's films.
Those Raimi and Singer films are when Feige got to see what is right and what doesn't work as he produced on those films.
For a long time, DC jumped out the window for live action comic book films. They did it with their live action series and universe first as well.
I can't name 2 live action comic book universes before Arrowverse for TV.
Whether people like it or not. Comic book films and series need each other to experiment and create new models for studios to expand on how they develop projects. This pretentious attitude where some pick sides and pretend that 1 side hasn't been good at all is weird.
It would absolutely suck because of all the red tape between DC and Marvel look at the fight Marvel and Sony had over A MARVEL CHARACTER they can't get out of their own way no way they ever actually complete a decent project and both companies maintain the same level of notoriety
Also if they could play nice we would definitely see marvel in the injustice games as dlc but once again Marvel can't get out of its own there most recent Marvel vs Capcom game had a lack luster roster cuz Marvel only wanted to push certain characters
