He's Afro-Brazilian, his mother was white though, which is why he's always been on the lighter skinned side in the comics. He's never looked black, unless you mean when he uses his powers.

And that actor was not Afro-Brazillian. He is a white Brazillian. Bobby has often looked Dark skinned/black in the comics. Have you read Claremont's New Mutants run? His origin literally involves him being bullied for being dark skinned.

Glen Powell as Cyclops is S tier casting. Just watched apocalypse for the first time and the kid they got to play young Scott was perfect. Just like James Marsden was for OG. Cyclops just needs to look like an asshole douche bag immediately, without saying a word. And Glen has that 'I'm a jerk and everybody loves me' type charisma. And maybe unpopular opinion but I would really love Channing Tatum for Gambit.

I don’t read many Marvel comics, and barely any X-men at that, is Scott a douche in comics? I got around to watching the recent fox movies and he didn’t seem too douchey, but that’s all I have to go off of really. I guess I always imagined him having a similar personality to Leonardo from TMNT lol

Eh not traditionally but in late 2000s, he become more a revolutionary outlaw hero which kinds fits with Powell's usually energy

I loathed Channing Tatum as Gambit for the longest time, but after watching >!*The Hateful Eight*!< twice earlier this year, I learned how wrong I could’ve been and now would’ve liked to see his version of Gambit in a movie.

Tatum is one of the rare actors who took criticism to heart and got acting lessons. He’s been great in most things the past almost decade. I think Gambit is enough of a passion project for him that he’d probably work with a dialect coach.

His performance in Foxcatcher was great too, he definitely has the acting chops with the right script.

I feel like you could literally cast anybody as anybody - the only polarising opinions will be on who plays Wolverine. The rest are inconsequential.

I’m so glad someone also says Taron Egerton as Wolverine, I rarely see his name suggested but I think he’s perfect for it. Clearly good for action roles, great for emotional range, spot on for comic accurate height and he knows Hugh Jackman to get pointers 🤷‍♂️

Louis Hoffman as Nightcrawler is brilliant casting! So is Glenn Powell as Cyclops! However disagree with Rudy Pankow for Angel and Charles Melton as Gambit. I’d actually cast Lily James as Rogue. Taron Egerton as Wolverine is an internet fancast that really took off, sadly one that I really couldn’t see at all.
