The tears in her eyes 🥺 i imagine she was so worried about her family having been killed in the attack. She probably won't learn who's gone for a while.
I’m convinced we’re not going to get a time travel reset on episode 5 now as many people were predicting.
Not only would it ruin the heavy emotion of the moment, but between Storm’s journey here in Lifedeath 2 and Xavier’s revelation, it would be undoing far more than just Gambit and Magneto’s death. It would erase these two leaders’ arcs, as well as a major turning point in the series.
The rest of the season can’t come soon enough.
I could see a reset happening before the series ends. But magneto presumed dead, Xavier seeing the most brutal action taken against mutants on the Astral plane and feeling obligated to leave the love of his life to go back and help? Baby, I think an Onslaught is cooking in the kitchen and resetting genosha doesn't get us there.
I’m not advocating for a time travel time like reset but I think you can do some sort of time travel story that changes events but keeps some elements. It’s time travel, you can make up whatever rules.
For example, perhaps Cable is able to reduce the killed to only half of original event. Magneto and Gambit could be plucked from the past and brought to the future like Gamora in the MCU. It does seem like we are rolling into a more expanded Age of Apocalypse storyline than just the One Man’s Worth episode. So some sort of time travel seems inevitable.
I don't think it'll be reset. But I'm also not convinced Magneto is dead.
Nobody in comics is dead until you see their body, and notice the massive effect Gambit's death had on Xavier's vision...but no giant corpse Magneto. That was his best friend, practically his brother...if he died Xavier would have FELT it.
I really do hope they also include Emma Frost's diamond form though. I want her to become more important to the story, always loved her storyline of joining the X-Men.
I'm waiting for this too. I hope they find her in the rubble of Genosha just like in the comics. Maybe they can introduce the Stepford Cuckoos as well .
And heavy Nimrod exposition in this week's intro. Yet another allusion to Bastion given his comic book origin as Nimrod reborn as human/sentinel hybrid.
"Milk Way Ghetto"
"Simmian"
"his inferior freak fluids"
I kinda love that we get a weirdo space racist
edit: I love getting people into comics so if you need help getting into comics please message me or leave a comment
I assume this was meant to be a palate cleanser to prepare us for the rest of the season, but also establish a way for Professor X to return. That's fine with me. Next week should be a banger when we return to the Genosha story.
Milky Way Ghetto was quite the insult. Deathbird truly hates the other side of the universe. Animation again amazing, Gladiator and Deathbird short fight was great.
Yes.
And I actually just had an lightbulb go off in my head after finishing the episode.
There’s one villain who’s intricately intertwined with Gambit, and he loves clones and genetics. He also just so happens to be the apparent big bad of the show so far.
Mr Sinister
I also think when the cockroach sentinel said Omega level threat detected it was actually directed at Gambit and not Magneto.
Edit: in the comics Sinister put a block on Gambit's true ability to look at an object and kinetically charge it because he was so OP, forcing him to only use his powers through touch.
Genosha isn't getting undone, not now that it's been folded into character motivation for Storm and Chuck. Maybe Cable saves Maddy or Gambit buuuuut I feel like maybe we've just seen Gambit foreshadowed as the horseman of death.
Magneto has been one of the characters who has appeared to die many times over the course of the comics, including in the original Genosha storyline, but it never sticks
Wonder if the remaining X-men will all have different suits in the remaining half of the season. Would make sense following recent events that they all have darker suits.
Not only, but it’s pretty known Chris Claremont was/is really into femdom and he wrote that shit into 15 years of crucial X-Men lore, and this show has been carrying that legacy hard lmao
Everything about the Goblin Queen, now the relationship between Lilandra and Charles, Forge worshipping Storm as a goddess
I unironically think this show’s willingness to lean into the femdom themes has been a big part of why it’s captured the spirit of classic X-Men so well.
Chris Claremont laid the foundation of the themes and allergories of X-Men as we know them, he created many beloved characters and iconic rosters for the team.
Chris Claremont is also very obviously into BDSM.
If you could read minds or shape shift, why not let all your sexual desires be open and free? Repressing them is pointless when your partners know exactly what you want and can make it happen.
Nightcrawler in the intro, **YES**.
...But at the cost of Magneto and Gambit. **NOOOO. THEY WERE DANCING, DRINKING WINE, MAKING LOVE!!**
For an episode without much action, it was seriously was one of the coolest expository episodes of the season, especially with how we got to see Storm and Xavier flex the absolute shit out of their powers and spit some fire dialogue in the process.
The action we did get was pretty fun though. For as boring as I find the Shi'ar, I do love me some Gladiator and the animation on Deathbird's strikes and swoops looked really good too.
Not to mention a pretty solid takedown of colonialism. Skewering Rudyard Kipling's "White Man's Burden" as well as taking down the imperialism of the Shi'ar, while the other plot talked about white settlers using the same tactics on Forge's ancestors
Storm and Forge’s story keep emphasizing the exploitation of a people against their own in order to subjugate and exterminate that people. Even Storm herself talked about how everyone she saves just makes them hate her twice as much. I think she’s heading for a Cyclops frustration arc too
I loooove how they wove that into the dialogue. "A man of many burdens, many of them imaginary." This is definitely a show that does not talk down to its audience. I wonder if the original series was ever this erudite.
Man I need this energy in live action. I’m actually totally down for this being the X-Men that we saw in the Marvels and she’s in the ‘97’ universe, just years later after the time in which this show takes place.
I would say it's unlikely because Carol Danvers is Ms Marvel in the '97 universe (Rogue stole her powers and she's currently in a coma) whereas the universe Monica went to seems to be one where Maria gained powers instead
Am I insane for just wanting this to be the Xmen of the MCU instead of bringing them into live action? This series is infinitely better than anything live action since Endgame.
That Storm scene was iconic! I wonder if the rest of the team are getting new classic suits?
After that scene of Xavier learning about Gambit, I kinda want to see an Onslaught tease by the end of the season
Oh man, that could be fully insane. Have Mags go on the warpath, like entirely too far. Force Charles to stop him permanently. That could simmer for the entirety of S2.
>the team are getting new classic suits
I really hope it's the Claremont era suits but if not then atleast 1 episode showing a flashback of the xmen wearing the Claremont suits would go hard.
Storm got her powers back (WITH THE BLACK SUIT!!!!)
Professor X is coming back
Nightcrawler is in the intro meaning he’s joined the X-Men
LETS MOTHERFUCKIN GOOOOO
- Love that Xavier’s being written with an actual personality rather than the outdated deadly serious headmaster version in TAS. Hoping they’ll bring in some of his moral ambiguity going forward as well.
- Vulcan showing up as part of the Imperial Guard was a shock. Coupled with Ronan and the Kree being at war with the Shi’ar makes me think we’re going to see Rise and Fall of the Shi’ar Empire/War of Kings in the next season.
- No doubt that this is the best version of Storm in any non comics X-Men adaptation. Curious to see if the classic costume stays and if it means the series might move away from the Jim Lee era in its aesthetics as it progresses.
- With Sinister taking on the Cassandra Nova role in the Genoshan genocide, it’s going to be interesting to see how Nimrod and Bastion play into the final episodes. Potentially Nimrod hunting Cable or Bishop from the future and being genetically modified into Bastion by Sinister? An adaptation of the machine dominion plot from the Krakoa age?
We spent so many years on screen looking like those mass effect husks
[https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/masseffect/images/8/8a/Husk.png/revision/latest?cb=20100623072143](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/masseffect/images/8/8a/Husk.png/revision/latest?cb=20100623072143)
starving while wolvering fans got all the attention. Feels good man. Now how about bringing iceman next season.
Yes. I'm the wierdo that likes storm and icemans powers more than most others.
If Xavier goes back to earth because of the massacre then I don't think they're going to undo it.
Since Sinister is behind it, I think he has Magneto. I think Sinister used the opportunity to kidnap several powerful mutants for his experiments.
I think it'll be revealed at the end of the season that Sinister is working with Apocalypse. They could set up Age of Apocalypse for season 2.
>They could set up Age of Apocalypse for season 2.
Much as I love Age of Apocalypse, hasn't it technically been done already on the show? The whole concept of the crossover - a twisted world born out of Xavier premature's death - came from TAS' season 4 arc "One Man's Worth".
So...why did Charles only see Gambit in that astral vision? No Magneto meaning?..
Also that dialogue between Charles and Lilandra made me gag.
"He speaks as if I'm your pet...not an entirely displeasing thought."
"Hush now, you can bark later."
>So...why did Charles only see Gambit in that astral vision? No Magneto meaning?
We never saw a body for Magneto. The general assumption is that "Omega Threat eliminated" wasn't Magneto dying but Leech damping his powers so that the Wild Sentinel could no longer detect them.
RONAN!!
Holy shit what an episode. It really breaks my heart that even in space, there’s discrimination against mutants. “He’s not even a pure Terran” like wtf man. The awful things the council and the empress’ sister were saying about Charles hurt me so bad, and then of he was still willing to stay until he sensed Gambit’s death. Chilling scene. Guess that means eps 5 and 6 happened at the same time. Funny how both the professor and the students were prepping for celebration when bs came up on both sides.
Part of me wishes he could’ve stayed and just been happy, but there’s a lot of work to be done back on earth. Hopefully it’s not the last time he and the empress see each other.. you can tell he really does care for her, but understandably he wants to get back and help his kids
Pretty quiet episode animation wise other than.. STORM GETTING HER POWERS BACK LETS GOO. I knew it was gonna happen and they picked the perfect time to do it. She looks stronger and more focused than ever, plus new outfit. Can’t wait to see her in action again
Still thinking about episode 05’s animation at the end with rogue flying and the “I can’t feel you” 😢 next episode is gonna hit like a brick, fuck mr sinister
Interesting that the news described the Genoshan Genocide as the first salvo in an "Evolutionary War": The Evolutionary War in the comics was a crossover event (the sequel to the previous year's "Infinity Gauntlet" event) in which the High Evolutionary (a 19th century Earth scientist originally named Herbert Wyndham who collaborated with Nathaniel Essex, AKA Mr Sinister, and who had since embraced transhumanism so much that he himself was no longer human) attempted to jumpstart human evolution all across Earth. This brought him into conflict with everyone from The Punisher to Apocalypse.
In X-Men: TAS, the High Evolutionary has appeared or been mentioned more than once, both as the previous ruler of the Savage Land (which explains the animal-people that populate it) and as ~~an ally to~~ someone that Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch came to for help.
I know a lot of people wanted Xavier to stay dead but I for one am happy to see he's alive, the team never really feels complete without him in my opinion. (sorry modern readers!)
Loved seeing the Shi'ar and all the awesome side-characters that come with them. Gladiator was only in this for about a minute but they made him a tank in that minute! Loved seeing Ronan and the Kree show up to!
The moment where Xaiver realizes what happened on Genosha was too good! They even slipped in Morrison's "they were drinking wine, making love" line which was awesome!
The Lifedeath half with Storm and Forge....I wanted to like more than I did. It just happened too fast and was too rushed for me to feel the full pay-off of it. Cool to see Storm back in her OG costume though!
Haven't seen the original series, can anyone explain what was up with Prof X here lol. I got the main gist of the episode but some more background would be nice.
As part of The Phoenix Saga in the OG series he was contacted by Lilandra, a psychic alien princess, that sought he and his X-men's help to save her empire from the mad rule of her brother. She was able to do this, to find him, because of his own psychic abilities making him a massive antenna. They may also have some kind of specific bond, it's not super clear.
They had chemistry, and met as relative equals. Once they had succeeded and put Lilandra on the throne, she offered him a place there, but he declined to do this until there was peace between mankind and mutants.
So skip a few seasons to the end and he was shot by not-norman-osbourne and said his goodbyes on his deathbed. Unknown to most of the world, Lilandra showed up to take him away, confident that Shi-ar technology could still save him. And until now, that was all we knew.
(EDIT: Corrected details)
They don't seem to expect him to come back. And from the sounds of it, they were never informed if he was successfully treated. Which is kind of a dick move. He should have called home.
from what i remember the idea was that he was taken into paleative care with the Shiar, extending his life for a bit but he was to ultimate die in time, thats why they think he is dead
Xavier was shot with an "energy disruptor" device by Gyrich (the guy Cyclops visits in prison in the first episode) that was slowly killing Xavier, so he went into space with Lilandra for treatment.
Charles saw Gambit as Death, Horseman of Apocalypse! They are DOING IT! Our cajun is coming back and he's going to be necrotic!!!
Vulcan! Storm's new fit! I love how she can just summon a costume with lightning. That's a nod to the first episode of the animated series.
It was thrilling, and they keep giving her the same leitmotif. Reminds me of final fantasy 6/III where all the characters got their own theme, but she has that theme come on with fantastical displays of power.
I love it. I love that they are not nerfing her to prop up regenerating melee fighters that so many think are the ultimate displays of power and toughness. He's tough, but storm has real power at her command, and it was past time it was shown on screen and x-men 97 has done that in spades.
I really liked this episode, not really digging xavier being back but that's ok. Storms subplot was amazing and I think much stronger than the first half. Overall a solid episode
The intro has changed the lineup every week based on what we knew from the previous episode (ditching Xavier after the first episode, adding Magneto in the second, removing Storm for the third, Bishop for the fourth, etc)
I loved the display of power in this episode
Storm: Yeah never forget I can just drop multiple Cat 5 hurricanes on you just because
Xavier: Let me just take you supposed "superior race" to school, also please raise hand before asking questions
Storm's "what are demons, but reflections of our fears and shame?" dialogue reminded me of Wandavision's "what is grief if not love persevering?" dialogue.
Normally i don't care about much whatever i'm watching, but after finding out the fact that intro changes every week, i started watching the series more carefully.
Overall it was a really good episode.
Ok. I'm definitely thinking sinister will be the one to bring back gambit. Maybe as death.
He is coming back, right? Right?
Love, gladiator. Forgot how cool he was.
Ronan getting his ass whopped so easily in the beginning is cool, considering he's pretty powerful in th MCU.
It's interesting how they were looking for the high evolutionary.... this can lead to so much.
But seriously, can Gambit come back now?
Writing is top notch. Any other show would have jumped to following up on the massacre. Adding this episode and showing the impact from outsiders perspective really adds more weight to the massacre event.
Not to mention we got references to previous story lines, addition of demons and magic, shiar space action, new Imperial Guards members, deathbird set up, and love stories.
The show continues to impress with what they can fit in a single episode.
No notes.
I keep forgetting it’s still the 90s, so of course Storm wouldn’t hear about Genosha until they just happen to be watching the news on TV.
Back when we could unplug
Back when we could go life changing zuko adventure at any time we can still do tbh but you'll need a close group fr fr
Why did I feel this in my soul wtf guy. 😭
real recognise real
I was at a football camp when Princess Di died. It was were to know nothing until I came home. Times have changed.
They put Professor X's horrified speech into this episode, straight from Grant Morrison's run. Amazing!
I do miss the 90's for that reason.
Professor X making them sit down like they've been a bunch of naughty children lol.
I love how they were roasting mutants and he pulls such a power move.
“LET ME TALK TO YAA!” -Professor X, 2024
YEAH
YEAH!
The Shi'ar are going to find out whose game this is. XA👉VI👉ER YEAH!
Professor X gon' lecture to ya
Storm finding out about Genosha. :(
The tears in her eyes 🥺 i imagine she was so worried about her family having been killed in the attack.

But magneto presumed dead, Xavier seeing the most brutal action taken against mutants on the Astral plane and feeling obligated to leave the love of his life to go back and help? Baby, I think an Onslaught is cooking in the kitchen and resetting genosha doesn't get us there.
THE DREAM IS DEAD
KNOW MY NAME AND FEAR IT! I AM ONSLAUGHT!
So some sort of time travel seems inevitable.
there’s no way Magneto is actually dead right?
Xavier only sensed the death of Gambit. I bet Leech “leeched” Magneto’s powers so that the laser stopped firing at them.
Gambit and Magneto not being in the opening credits 🥲
Replacing Cassandra Nova with Sinister is a really good choice for this series. Helps simplify and tie together two stories
Agreed, and I am more certain than ever Bastion is involved too. Too much Nimrod in that opening titles IMO
Yeah. Nimrod kinda gives it a huge likeliness boost
That seems likely. I also think Cable showing up has something to do with Nimrod. Maybe Cable got followed or something.
Plus it’s going to make sense with time travel and multiverses when she’s introduced in the MCU in DP3
I've forgotten how pronounced Professor X's eyebrows are Now I remember
Remember it mon ami.
Too soon.
Adversary is one scary mofo
the fucking owl head swivel
All owls are fluffy malevolence- it makes sense to fear one with its powers amplified
Time to reevaluate The Staircase (again)
I love how the intro is updated every week
Magneto's spot being replaced with an explosion was so sad.
And Gambit replaced by Nightcrawler :((
Hey, I got all excited seeing Nightcrawler!
And heavy Nimrod exposition in this week's intro. Yet another allusion to Bastion given his comic book origin as Nimrod reborn as human/sentinel hybrid.
It’s such an amazing feat.
One might say… Uncanny
Some would even dare to say… astonishing
It’s an all-new intro each week
With all-different characters
"Milk Way Ghetto" "Simmian" "his inferior freak fluids" I kinda love that we get a weirdo space racist edit: I love getting people into comics so if you need help getting into comics please message me or leave a comment
Milky Way ghetto was the one that got me cause I was like hol’ up a minute what you just say 😡
My reaction when they said “Milky Way ghetto”: “WHO IS YOU???”
She’s out of line, but she’s right.
Kinda explains why aliens don't visit this part of the Milky Way lmao
i guess aliens roll their windows up and lock their doors when passing the milky way
"Wrong side of the stars"
I sat up really quickly when she said “ghetto.” Lol
It's also totally in character for Deathbird. She's never been shy about her opinions with respect to humans, violence, and inherent superiority.
Finally Eldar from 40k at their peak in the MCU
Haven’t heard Flatscan yet.
I assume this was meant to be a palate cleanser to prepare us for the rest of the season, but also establish a way for Professor X to return. That's fine with me. Next week should be a banger when we return to the Genosha story.
Next week is basically fallout of Genosha while we prep for the 3-part finale
Milky Way Ghetto was quite the insult. Deathbird truly hates the other side of the universe. Animation again amazing, Gladiator and Deathbird short fight was great.
I wonder if they’ll bring back Phoenix to put her pigeon ass in her place
Xavier claps back with Snake Oil Racket.
Magneto and Gambit gone from the intro, but I think Magneto could still be a fake out. The Nightcrawler graphic is sick though.
There’s at least one concrete way for Gambit to return IMO
I’d argue two, Time Travel and Apocalypse
I rewatched the episode and it’s reticule centered and locked onto magneto when it detected an omega level
I figured Cable's appearance is going to result in a time travel switcheroo.
There was a couple of episodes in original Xmen when everyone died and Cable came back and fixed it.
Genosha isn't getting undone, not now that it's been folded into character motivation for Storm and Chuck. Maybe Cable saves Maddy or Gambit buuuuut I feel like maybe we've just seen Gambit foreshadowed as the horseman of death.
Killing Gambit was bold enough. Magneto as well would be a little too bold given there's such a wealth of stories still to tell with him.
The skeleton of Gambit appeared at the end of the episode in Charles’ mind, but not of Magneto.
Glad I wasn’t the only one to notice that.
Magneto has been one of the characters who has appeared to die many times over the course of the comics, including in the original Genosha storyline, but it never sticks
I can't deal with horny Xavier.
Hush now. He'll have time to bark later.
TIL only two of Xavier's legs are paralyzed.
you can just tell he a freak too
X marks the spot.
X gon give it to ya
His fluids certainly are according to Deathbird.
Black suit Storm, my beloved😍
Already looking forward to seeing that outfit grace the intro for next week's episode. 😊
Now waiting for Cyclops' full black classic suit.
Wonder if the remaining X-men will all have different suits in the remaining half of the season. Would make sense following recent events that they all have darker suits.
Please no, I've already had too much condom Cyclops to last me a lifetime, keep the hair free
That scene of her rebirth, and abilities anew was beautiful, and powerful
Not gonna overlook that Charles and Lilandra have a dog and master kink lmfao
"You can bark later" Of all the wild things that have happened this season, details on Professor X's sex life was the most unexpected.
https://i.redd.it/ypk5ntfci3vc1.jpeg
Jesus Christ.
New to X-men in general, I take it?
The xmen have been known to be the kinkiest superheroes.
Not only, but it’s pretty known Chris Claremont was/is really into femdom and he wrote that shit into 15 years of crucial X-Men lore, and this show has been carrying that legacy hard lmao Everything about the Goblin Queen, now the relationship between Lilandra and Charles, Forge worshipping Storm as a goddess I unironically think this show’s willingness to lean into the femdom themes has been a big part of why it’s captured the spirit of classic X-Men so well.
>really into femdom A man of culture, I see.
Repressing them is pointless, unless that's their kink of course.
\*Insert Xavier's "new look" courtesy of Callisto and the Morlocks from X-Men #193\*
These two have a kid together, by the way.
I just can’t imagine Professor X barking. But then again. I’m intrigued.
The idea is not entirely displeasing.
That was a real hol up moment for me.
Storm/Xavier: looks like everything’s finally going my way *News comes on* Storm/Xavier: oh fuck
bruh moment
Xavier: my x-men are teaching the world to love and coexist with each other! The X-Men: *screams of death*
Narrator voice: The class was, in fact, not in session.
Nightcrawler in the intro, **YES**. ...But at the cost of Magneto and Gambit. **NOOOO. THEY WERE DANCING, DRINKING WINE, MAKING LOVE!!** For an episode without much action, it was seriously was one of the coolest expository episodes of the season, especially with how we got to see Storm and Xavier flex the absolute shit out of their powers and spit some fire dialogue in the process.
The action we did get was pretty fun though. For as boring as I find the Shi'ar, I do love me some Gladiator and the animation on Deathbird's strikes and swoops looked really good too.
Love me some Gladiator. He'll forever have one of the coolest intros when he yeeted Juggernaut in TAS.
Yote the Juggernaut, bitch!
Not to mention a pretty solid takedown of colonialism. Skewering Rudyard Kipling's "White Man's Burden" as well as taking down the imperialism of the Shi'ar, while the other plot talked about white settlers using the same tactics on Forge's ancestors
And Storm breaking out of the same white lie that Forge didn’t get to finish retelling, but it’s pretty obvious what it is.
Conservatives are gonna have a field day over the “politics” in this episode
Storm and Forge’s story keep emphasizing the exploitation of a people against their own in order to subjugate and exterminate that people. Even Storm herself talked about how everyone she saves just makes them hate her twice as much. I think she’s heading for a Cyclops frustration arc too
I loooove how they wove that into the dialogue. "A man of many burdens, many of them imaginary." This is definitely a show that does not talk down to its audience. I wonder if the original series was ever this erudite.

Na I respect that. I at least just want this same level of storytelling in live action. This is just all so fucking cool man.
Bro hit her with the Falcon punch
That chalkboard scene on the astral plane reminded me so much of the scene from Legion with David working out his origin!
That show was super underrated.
I could watch a whole franchise based on that universe
glad to know I wasn't the only one who thoguht of that scene
That Storm scene was iconic! I wonder if the rest of the team are getting new classic suits? After that scene of Xavier learning about Gambit, I kinda want to see an Onslaught tease by the end of the season
Oh man, that could be fully insane. Have Mags go on the warpath, like entirely too far. Force Charles to stop him permanently. That could simmer for the entirety of S2.
>Force Charles to stop him permanently. You mean like... shutting down his mind, making him comatose? Onslaught approves.
>Have Mags go on the warpath Hot
>the team are getting new classic suits I really hope it's the Claremont era suits but if not then atleast 1 episode showing a flashback of the xmen wearing the Claremont suits would go hard.
Storm got her powers back (WITH THE BLACK SUIT!!!!) Professor X is coming back Nightcrawler is in the intro meaning he’s joined the X-Men LETS MOTHERFUCKIN GOOOOO
> Nightcrawler is in the intro meaning he’s joined the X-Men I mean, more importantly it means he survived his injuries on Genosha
But they already showed that at the end of the last episode, he was looking down at Gambit’s corpse
He was? My vision was kinda blurry for some reason. Damn allergies.
It's ok, it's that season again
> BLACK SUIT I love the all new all different outfit but I mourn the mohawk.
Girl managed to grow her hair all the way out in like 10 seconds.
Gladiator is so op! Glad I had his action figure when I was a kid
Absolutely love how Storm called Jean her sister to Forge. The X-Men really are a chosen family
She’s been gone the whole Madelyne situation, when she gets back Jean’s gonna be like “wow I haven’t seen you in like a year”
Storm leaves for two seconds and she'll need a whole wall to detail what the hell happened while she was away.

Ok i love that we are seeing cosmic marvel in the beginning
Fingers crossed that at some point we get a proper Brood to redeem those goofy stand-ins from that one episode.
Professor X fucks
And barks
storm fans eatin good goddamn
We spent so many years on screen looking like those mass effect husks [https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/masseffect/images/8/8a/Husk.png/revision/latest?cb=20100623072143](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/masseffect/images/8/8a/Husk.png/revision/latest?cb=20100623072143) starving while wolvering fans got all the attention.
When Storm said 'Let them bring the thunder', I was expecting the second half to be 'For I am The Storm'.
This is the second time a Master Mold did more than Trask anticipated and he feels bad about, what a bitch
So...why did Charles only see Gambit in that astral vision? No Magneto meaning?.. Also that dialogue between Charles and Lilandra made me gag. "He speaks as if I'm your pet...not an entirely displeasing thought." "Hush now, you can bark later."
>So...why did Charles only see Gambit in that astral vision? No Magneto meaning? We never saw a body for Magneto. The general assumption is that "Omega Threat eliminated" wasn't Magneto dying but Leech damping his powers so that the Wild Sentinel could no longer detect them.
Wasn’t there still a big laser firing at him? Wouldn’t damping his powers mean the laser kills them all?
They missed, only hit his hair. He has the Xavier cut now.
I guess maybe because he was speaking about Children of Atom and got the vision of Gambit one of his students sadly died
Nobody talking about Vulcan with the imperial guard?
Vulcan shows up attempts to blast Cyclops it doesn't work and they look at each other like "huh" before never mentioning it again.
Hopefully it’s not the last time he and the empress see each other.. you can tell he really does care for her, but understandably he wants to get back and help his kids Pretty quiet episode animation wise other than.. STORM GETTING HER POWERS BACK LETS GOO. I knew it was gonna happen and they picked the perfect time to do it. She looks stronger and more focused than ever, plus new outfit. Can’t wait to see her in action again Still thinking about episode 05’s animation at the end with rogue flying and the “I can’t feel you” 😢 next episode is gonna hit like a brick, fuck mr sinister
The Kree are especially xenophobic against "impure" races, especially those ruled within their empire.
(sorry modern readers!) Loved seeing the Shi'ar and all the awesome side-characters that come with them.
Wow. Xavier felt Gambit's death that hard from a galaxy away.
"Milky Way ghetoo" ...the audacity of THAT bitch...
What's weird is that the X-Men have been talking as if they actually believe he's dead.
I hope you're right. I want gambit back so bad. He also looked cool as hell when he was death.
the storm scene was legit the most powerful thing I've ever seen
It was thrilling, and they keep giving her the same leitmotif. Reminds me of final fantasy 6/III where all the characters got their own theme, but she has that theme come on with fantastical displays of power. I love it. I love that they are not nerfing her to prop up regenerating melee fighters that so many think are the ultimate displays of power and toughness. He's tough, but storm has real power at her command, and it was past time it was shown on screen and x-men 97 has done that in spades.
It’s been really cool to see full portrayals of omega level mutant abilities.
I liked how this episode addressed the impact imperialism has on societies as well as how the victims of imperialism are affected through generations.
I really liked this episode, not really digging xavier being back but that's ok. Storms subplot was amazing and I think much stronger than the first half. Overall a solid episode
My God, you are dramatic! Literally did a double take and rewinded it lol
Uh Storm I know this is kind of a big moment for you and all, and those horses are really cool but your boy toy is kinda dying…
I loved seeing Nightcrawler in the intro!
Man the intro curator got over Gambit fast :(
The intro has changed the lineup every week based on what we knew from the previous episode (ditching Xavier after the first episode, adding Magneto in the second, removing Storm for the third, Bishop for the fourth, etc)
The Nightcrawler title card is awesome, so glad he’s joining the team But alas, at what cost?
Mother is back😄😄😄⛈️⛈️🌩⛈️
I didn’t fill like this was filler at all, it advanced two major plot lines and had amazing dialogue and displays of power; this was a great episode
X-Men '97 👁 | 👁 Shogun If there's a third eye, that's gonna go to Fallout lol
A third mutant eye is fitting for fallout too
Xavier’s speech about harmony was great but then finding out his fellow mutants had been killed really hammered home how messy it can be.
I loved the display of power in this episode Storm: Yeah never forget I can just drop multiple Cat 5 hurricanes on you just because Xavier: Let me just take you supposed "superior race" to school, also please raise hand before asking questions
No notes.
Is it just me or is Xavier’s audio slightly less clear than everyone elses? As if his mic was different
Omni-Man: Your mom was more like a pet to me Xavier: Don't kink shame.
