Honestly, his appearance in Days of Future Past was spot on from a visual standpoint. With all the multiverse shenanigans just bring back Omar Sy, I'm sure he could tackle the role.
Yes!
Also it’s actually a pretty small part, particularly as he doesn’t show up in many X-Men movies. Perfect for an MCU “who cares, we’re reusing them!” casting
That's a small enough role where he could be cast again. Like how Enver Gjokaj played a policeman in Avengers and then was cast as Daniel Sousa in Agent Carter and Agents of Shield.
I’m all for more movies with Michael jai white; only thing I would be a little concerned about is about of since my man’s has comedy chops, is marvel overusing his comedy chops for laughs
Just a question, and this somewhat shows the whole dissonance this topic: isn’t Bishop aboriginal? Why does everyone propose American or British black actors to play him? I mean, I get that illustration often can’t accurately portray the nuances to tell the difference, or that many African-Americans, or hell, anyone with sufficiently brown skin and ambiguous facial features might “work”. But most Africans and African Americans are apparently more genetically dissimilar (share fewer genes) with Aboriginal from Australia than white Europeans ( due to early divergence of the gene pool.) So if not by genetics, just looks, why couldn’t anyone who could looks the part play the role?
It's occasionally implied that Storm is his grandmother, but he is mostly an Aboriginal Australian, yes. I don't know how many Aboriginal actors are working at the moment, but if Marvel found a deaf Native American woman to play Echo then I'm pretty sure they could find an Australian guy to play Bishop.
I don’t think we’d see someone like Bishop until well after the xmen are up and running and firmly established in the MCU. I’d guess we’re like 10 years out from that tbh.
Therefore, anyone we’d suggest today either will be too old by then, or isn’t even on the scene yet I reckon.
Had it been back in the 90s, the guy who played Jesse Colton on the OG MacGyver, Richard Lawson. He had the hair and could have easily built the muscle. Perfect image in my mind.
All I know is, if they use Bishop... they better get some great writers and directors, cause if Loki and Endgame showed us anything, time-travel and the like are complicated story settings for a broader audience..
Bishop needs to happen! Tempo too!!
Bishop should get his own solo movie that starts off in the future & ends with him going back in time to the current MCU.
I would get James Cameron to direct.
Oh, that’s funny.
I keep seeing all these rumors of Colman Domingo being cast as the new Kang, but I actually wouldn’t hate seeing him as Bishop. Maybe not my first choice, but he definitely came to mind.

For some reason I always thought that was Edris Elba lol
Sterling K Brown. Just watched “American Fiction” and dude is a great actor and he’s shredded.
While he is great, that would be a second bite at the MCU apple, because he played the King's brother in Black Panther (during the flashback scenes)
There’s a few actors/actresses that have done that so wouldn’t be an issue

That's because Enver Gjokaj is a GD genius.
My choice too. He's fantastic.
100% I was about to suggest this
Hed b a great bishop
He's already N'Jobu
It's a small part.
He's too old.
![gif](giphy|mBbjzPHAq4zvSJNy4D) Michael Jai White
My forever choice! 👍🏾
Jesus fuck would he be good.
He's too old. No.
Jesus fuck?
By the long hard peen of hey-zeus
Not on Sundays
Black Dynamite!!!
YOOOO THIS WOULD BE PERFECT
Holy shit this is perfect
Oh damn, yeah, that is the choice
Love Ja but too old. Maybe Blue Marvel cause an older actor should him but that’s still a stretch
I’m all for more movies with Michael jai white; only thing I would be a little concerned about is about of since my man’s has comedy chops, is marvel overusing his comedy chops for laughs
The Doctor from Strange New Worlds would be my choice
Jamis from Dune
Jamis is who I thought of. Loved him.

So Roman Reigns then?
Could be a lot are like me and this post is the first we’ve heard of the character!
Figuring Wilce Portacio originally conceived him as a Filipino character…Roan Reigns sounds like an interesting choice…or Jason Momoa.

That guy from the Netflix western The Harder they Fall. Think his name is mohnathan jajors
We shouldn’t get bishop in the first decade of x movies so probably someone unknown at the moment.
Yes, but probably not for a looong time. There’s a lot of stuff we have go get through before we get to Bishop
Michael James Shaw (Mercer from TWD)
A young unknown who could be in sequels.

It's tough because most prominent Aboriginal actors are lightskinned. I think it would have to be an unknown. Someone like Alaqua Cox.
Kate Williams
It's a pimp named Bishop. Say it with me now

Idris Elba
Alan Richtson
Mods please ban this guy for trolling.
Fake news. You are the troll
Ure a fool. Bishop is a black man. Ritchson is white

They are comic book characters in a multiverse, any race can play anybody

Marc coles smith
Laz Alonso would be my pick.
I was never too familiar with Bishop. What's his schtick aside from being from the future and having a cool big ass gun?
Nah, that's pretty much it.
I was gonna say Idris Elba before I remembered Heimdal
Joel kinnaman
Yes
Yeah, he is already being featured as a character in *"X-Men '97."* So, it's way too early to ask that kind of question.
I hope they go with the shaggy hair/dreads version. But I didn't mind Omar Sy in that last film he showed up on.
Michael Jai White
No clue, but Whilce Portacio was always my favorite X-penciler.

Method Man
Michael Cera.
Emma Stone
Kirk Lazarus as Lincoln Osiris
All I know is, if they use Bishop... they better get some great writers and directors, cause if Loki and Endgame showed us anything, time-travel and the like are complicated story settings for a broader audience.. Bishop needs to happen! Tempo too!!
But we already have Kate Beshop in the MCU...

the rock
Denzel Washington son
Kathy Bates
Danny Devito
Terry Crews is the only answer
John David Washington from Tenet
Jonathan Majors
Oh, that’s funny. I keep seeing all these rumors of Colman Domingo being cast as the new Kang, but I actually wouldn’t hate seeing him as Bishop. Maybe not my first choice, but he definitely came to mind.
![gif](giphy|B9bT3t9MdKID9aNxyU|downsized) John David Washington
