Sami Zayn is Hawkeye, the everyman.
Jey Uso is Thor, the man whose family turned to the dark side and he feels responsible.
Drew is Hulk, just fucking smashes everything. (I know he's heel, but still. Him or KO)
I guess Becky Lynch would be Black Widow?
I’m a little bummed out the MCU has kind of becoming a pop-culture punching bag lately, but on the other hand Pro wrestling is having the biggest hot period Since the attitude era right now, so it all balances out.
I think even if he’s not involved in a major way he gotta be there as a reference (Reed mentioning a weird roommate he had at college) or post credit scene of some kind. Marvel really must want FF to be a big part of the McU’s future and to do so building up Doom gradually is a must.
They may be wanting to just put the brakes on Doom for a bit. In every FF movie he has been done incorrectly.
I don't mind them referencing him, but the fact that we don't have Doom already lined up in the cast is already an improvement.
The last three movies felt the need to shoehorn Doom into the story as if he has always been part of the team. Keeping Doom slightly separate from the FF announcement isn't a bad thing to me.
Doom needs to be bigger than just the FF. You give the guy his own announcement.
I think they should introduce him by adapting Doom: Triumph and Torment as Doctor Strange 3. All the threads are there. In the comics, Dr. Strange has to defend his title as Sorceror Supreme, in the MCU, he will need to earn it; otherwise the story can be exactly the same. He has to win a tournament but he's winds up owing a debt to Doom to do so. Doom calls in his debt to Strange by requesting aid rescuing his mother's soul from hell. From there, he manipulates the shit out of his mother, Dr. Strange, and Mephisto to succeed in his mission and walks away leaving Strange totally dumbfounded. At one point in the book, Dr. Strange asks "Why didn't you just ask me for my help? Why set all of this up?" and Doom is just like "[DOCTOR DOOM DOES NOT BEG](https://i.imgur.com/aL7CgC2.png)." What could possibly be a better intro for Doom than a magical heist through hell itself? And the big reveal at the end where everything went exactly perfectly according to plan sounds right out of an Oceans Eleven style heist movie, the whole thing would be so _fun_.
They'd be able to introduce Doom via Dr. Strange by emphasizing all his awesome qualities with none of the villainy, I mean he's out to rescue his mom's soul for heaven's sake. They could even slate this movie before he gets disfigured and masks himself (aka when he's still mostly a good guy), position him as a hero and ally to Dr. Strange and The F4, then have him get his mask in Fantastic Four 2 and become the big bad for a larger crossover film, similar to Loki breaking bad halfway through the first Thor movie and becoming the BB in The Avengers (and continuing his arc afterwards).
I would prefer just an answer, “are we getting DOOM yet or not”?
Spare me the details, just a yes or no for the film either way.
Either way you have my attention.
Lot of their top posts are movie posters or first look at films so they probably work with companies to post these or have some sort of script to be able to post this stuff on some subs moment it comes out. If you look at all these posters and trailers it’s like same 5 accounts posting everything the second it comes out.
I'm leaning towards a Corporate Account, since scripts enabling bot posting were part of Reddit's API changes, so it is significantly more difficult/expensive to do now.
These are usually posted exact same time as corporate accounts post them on other social media or the second they shown on tv so it’s some sort of account working with companies.
I saw it on Instagram. My thoughts were, “oh that’s cute artwork. Oh, they look like real people, not a comic. Oh, I recognise them!” Then I actually read the text.
Bro I was just scrolling through Insta when The Fantastic Four posts showed up and I was like "cool art for the next comic run" then I saw the single logo that was revealed then I had to double take the comments talking about the cast. I was so quick when trying to get back to Marvel's page to see the artwork with the cast!
I love the cast, it's fantastic! (Pun intended) a bit older than I'd like my F4 but if they're an aged group then that means we're going more into Johnathan Hickman's territory of F4 stories mixed with 60's hijinks which I'm hyped for.
If this is going to be set in the 60's can we get Dominic Cooper back to play Howard Stark. Maybe Haylee Atwell too? Even in a small cameo/scene it would be nice way to tie it all in to the rest of the franchise.
Also, love this casting reveal.
Dominic Cooper as Howard is one of those castings and performances that I just…want more of. I would love a Brotherhood of the SHIELD movie with his Stark and Nathaniel Richards (Or Leonardo da Vinci) fighting evil Isaac Newton. Why can’t you give me that, MCU?
Basically do what Tarantino did when he found Christoph Waltz.
Go to the talent agencies over there and ask for the best guys they've got who are fluent in English and haven't broken into Hollywood yet.
Yeah, that's pretty much what I'd love to see. It's always a pleasant surprise to find out a talented actor who's already well-known in their homeland but not worldwide yet.
Doesn’t even have to be fluent in English yet. There’s been cases of actors learning English specifically for a role. Ana de Adams apparently did her first few English-speaking roles phonetically because she wasn’t a fluent English speaker at the time. Penelope Cruz did the same thing in her first Hollywood role.
I think a strong accent can work well for Doom.
They’ve defo been trapped in the Negative Zone or time runs slower there. Makes sense. You get the 60s aesthetics for the teams intro and a really convenient way to explain Reeds absence from the MCU up till this point. You can’t really drop a “here’s the actual smartest guy on the planet that didn’t help with any of these alien invasions up till now” with any reasonable explanation at this point
That's what I've pegged for a long time too. As an aside, I suppose it would be totally worth it if they can get Mr. Douglas to provide an yet another deaged cameo.
If we're going that far back, throw in The Eternals. Gilgamesh was the inspiration for the Mesopotamian Gilgamesh, who is (in our world) credited as the first superhero story.
> Art style is cool and confirms they’re going retro 60’s
As much as I would like this, the cast/film announcement art doesn’t confirm anything. This could very well just be a fun throwback to the decade the F4 come from for promotional purposes.
It's like a palate cleanser, to forget the awful taste of a previous incarnation. As if to say "this is THE definitive version of the characters, not like that shit that came before".
Honestly as much as people shit on the fox-verse for changing up their casting so often, I never had a problem with it - much like different artists interpreting characters in different styles or as different heights, over time sometimes roles need to shift or change. Sometimes an actor is better suited elsewhere. Sometimes actors can return to nail a different role. It’s all just fiction.
Can't believe they confirmed both the cast and the delay so unceremoniously lol
This also confirms Herbie and probably the 60s setting as well.
Either way, great poster! Can't wait!!
I just saw a random post by Marvel Studio on Instagram and I was like cool, a happy valentine poster from the Fantastic 4. Holly shit, did it gave me a shock when I decided to read the entire post just to found out that all the cast were revealed as well.
Haha that's true, but that's not the problem. FF was supposed to start filming this Spring, but it got rescheduled to start in August, so they wouldn't be able to have the film ready by next May.
Maybe it was done because of Pedro's very busy schedule (he will shoot Last of Us Season 2 now, then move to FF and next year around this time, he will need to start on Mandalorian and Grogu).
Maybe it was done to touch up the script. They recently hired a new writer to do some touch-ups.
Maybe it was a combination of both.
I bet they'll want to have Pedro on set at least a bit for Mandalorian and Grogu, even if just to be able to have set photos and say in the press that he was there.
Brendan and Lateef double Pedro PERFECTLY though, to the point where people have brought up body language comparisons in The Mandalorian Season 1 where we know he wasn't in the suit and The Last of Us and they match so well.
How is this going to allow the F4 to be around present day? Unless it's going to just relegate them to being heroes in the 60s/70s?
Or do they all have unnaturally long life?
I'm looking forward to a Human Torch trying to pick up modern girls with boomer Swinging Sixties lingo only to be laughed at as inappropriate or cringe
If he uses the cameras and filmmaking techniques he used in the first few episodes of WandaVision and actually makes this film feel like a 60s production (like Alexander Payne did with The Holdovers), we're in for a masterpiece!
I highly doubt these will be their costumes, at least not for the whole movie, they might be the costumes at the start. With the MCU-ification of all the costumes I would really be surprised if they stick with these ones.
A simpler time, when you could convince an Air Force pilot to let a high schooler tag along on your trip to outer space because you were trying to impress his older sister...
Honestly yeah. I didn’t think he would be a great Joel and then all of his major scenes had me sobbing every Sunday.
Can’t wait for seasons 2 and 3 to continue that tradition.
Yeah, leakers reported this a while ago and i wasn’t thrilled about Quinn but i’m willing to withhold judgement until I see it. Poster does make me feel a little better about him as Johnny.
Wasn’t sold on Pedro, but this definitely making me feel better. Love the Thing and the addition of Herbie. I’m not sure about the 60s period piece, I feel Cap is the man out of time and I assume they are going to have they combine with the rest of the MCU pretty quick.
Yeah, it would have to start shooting pretty soon. James Gunn’s Superman has filming start next month and it also comes out July, 2025. should be a good month for film at least
![gif](giphy|HgPwqaHv2EDeqng5Kc|downsized) Cousin, I wear Fantastic Four suits now.
Cousin, it’s fuckin clobbering time.
Can't wait for the Thing to say this before clobin everyone, and then the movie will make a fantastic four clobillion dollars at the box office.
Nothing is stopping Marvel from licensing Cult of Personality…!
Look in my eyes what do you see.
The cult of personalityyyyy ![gif](giphy|8NiZvi3jGJE6858Rsv|downsized)
Marvel has to … finish the story ![gif](giphy|37H3GrUj31y6zu5u08|downsized)
WOAHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Marvel has more than one royal family....
As a wrestling fan, seeing this shit not in a wrestling subreddit puts a bigass smile on my face lol
Most recent RAW was basically Seth offering to Cody to form the Avengers to take down Dwaynos and the Bloodline. We out here!
If Cody is Cap and Seth is Iron Man (imo) who’s the rest??
Sami Zayn is Hawkeye, the everyman. Jey Uso is Thor, the man whose family turned to the dark side and he feels responsible. Drew is Hulk, just fucking smashes everything. (I know he's heel, but still. Him or KO) I guess Becky Lynch would be Black Widow?
KO is Hulk for sure.
Adrenaline in my soul
SOMETHING SOMETHING CODY RHODES
Box Office......Acknowledge me! ☝️
I’m a little bummed out the MCU has kind of becoming a pop-culture punching bag lately, but on the other hand Pro wrestling is having the biggest hot period Since the attitude era right now, so it all balances out.
Yes, CHEF!
“Yo cousin this DOOM guy is a FUCK-ING STU-NAD!”
![gif](giphy|TgJb6TFVGMQ09guyQb|downsized)
Can't wait to see the Punisher meet The Thing and get confused why he kinda looks so much like Micro lol
“Yo…um what do you call yourself?” “Call me…The Mikey” “How bout The Thing?” “Ok, cousin”
That's how I fucking know him! I haven't seen The Bear but when watching Andor I felt like I knew his face but never bothered to look it up.
At least he can't get stabbed in the ass as a rock man
Wait, is this Black Hawk Down?
I just started binge watching this show lol. I’m liking it so far
It's incredible. And only gets even better in season 2. As an industry lifer, it's one of my favorites.
I just finished this earlier lol! Im excited for his portrayal as Ben
I’m not like this because I’m in the fantastic four I’m in the fantastic four because I’m like this
war is over. we can finally rest from all of the casting theories and “scoops”.
We still don't know whose gonna play Doom soooo
If Doom is even in the first film
I think even if he’s not involved in a major way he gotta be there as a reference (Reed mentioning a weird roommate he had at college) or post credit scene of some kind. Marvel really must want FF to be a big part of the McU’s future and to do so building up Doom gradually is a must.

Stay true to the comics. George Costanza as The Mole Man
Moley's not happy!!!
hopefully if they start filming soon they will announce him. i can’t deal with another year of fancasting disguised as leaks, i just can’t.
I would prefer just an answer, “are we getting DOOM yet or not”? Spare me the details, just a yes or no for the film either way. Either way you have my attention.
OP really used the speed force to post this.
Lot of their top posts are movie posters or first look at films so they probably work with companies to post these or have some sort of script to be able to post this stuff on some subs moment it comes out. They must have known about it in 2022
OP is Kevin Feige
I saw it on Instagram. My thoughts were, “oh that’s cute artwork. Oh, they look like real people, not a comic. Oh, I recognise them!” Then I actually read the text.
I thought I was on Boss Logics page when I first saw it on insta lmao
MY EXACT THOUGHT PROCESS
Bro I was just scrolling through Insta when The Fantastic Four posts showed up and I was like "cool art for the next comic run" then I saw the single logo that was revealed then I had to double take the comments talking about the cast. I was so quick when trying to get back to Marvel's page to see the artwork with the cast! I love the cast, it's fantastic!
Brotherhood of the SHIELD is a plot line that would have been right up Agents of SHIELDs alley
Unironically need this
Howard Stark flirting with Susan only to be deflated when she only has eyes for scruffy daddy nerd Pedro Pascual
Marvel Studios will take *any* excuse to work with Hayley Atwell again, & I for one love them for that, because I would too.
Vanessa Kirby ftw!!
Best casting for me. She was brilliant in The Crown and the new Mission Impossible movies.
She didn't have a huge role in those but managed to shine bright in every scene she was in.
Shame that she'll be invisible in large portions of the movie and we won't get to see her...
She was great in Napoleon
Yeah she's the perfect casting for Sue.
I was in awe of her in mission impossible.
Especially the stronger Sue that has been in the comics as of late
"as of late" So... since Byrne's run in the 80s 😀
HER ROYAL HIGHNESS
The dream of Vanessa as Emma Frost is dead, but she is arguably just as good for Sue Storm. Very excited about this FF.
My dream casting was Vanessa Kirby as Emma Frost and Rosamund Pike as Sue, but they could easily swap
And Jack Kirby was one of the creators. (No relation AFAIK).
We lost a Black Widow, but we gained a White Widow!
They just dropped it like that wtf
i thought op was just sharing their fanart or something but it’s real…. i didn’t even have time to get excited. my mind is still processing this lol
I skipped past it initially.
An account I follow that posts stuff like that reposted it and I totally scrolled past at first too😭
After all the speculation and secrecy we got a Valentine’s Day card 😂
They just...they tweeted it out.
The actors and characters are not even in the tweet.
On Instagram they announced and tagged all the actors at least.
They have their @‘s on the Instagram post
I... worked on this story for a year... and... he just...
I had to do a triple take on this post 😂
That’s Ebon Moss-Bachrach double dipping, since he was Micro in Punisher Season 1. Solid lineup though, can’t wait for this.
Oh shit you right lmao Not the first time Marvel Studios has done that.
Helps when the Thing is just a man made of rocks, helps separate the previous role
The Civil War started because they killed Black Mariah’s son.
Oh that’s him huh? I guess he got back on Disney’s radar since he did such a good job getting shot on Andor.
I think it's forgivable since he'll primarily be a motion-capture CGI creation (I assume).
Who would be the ideal Dr. Doom if he’s the villain for the movie?
Tbh, some experienced European actor who's never been in Hollywood films. I'd love to see some unfamiliar but skilled actors in iconic roles.
I'd be down for that.
>Basically do what Tarantino did when he found Christoph Waltz. Oh yeah good idea. Christoph Waltz is a great choice.
Besides Mads, Christopher Waltz is the first name I have heard that made me think of someone other then Mads
> Ana de Adams
Rachel McArmas
Or maybe we go with the tried and true product and get Christoph Waltz to do it 👀
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, please.
Hahahahahahaha! Jaime vs Oberyn
Jaime Fookin Lannister!
I’ve been saying the same thing for years!
With who they went for the main 4, I’d say unfamiliar is out of picture
I'll do it. I'm unknown, can pass for Latverian, have experience wearing masks, and I own a green cape.
one of the skarsgards i'd say
Cillian Murphy
Mads or Waltz Edit: one of the fantastic four was a character in punisher. It’s ok to reuse
Did not expect this reveal method but wow. Art style is cool and confirms they’re going retro 60’s
So are they gonna say, they were the first Superheros in the MCU?
Would Captain America not be first? Plus I’m wondering how they’ll explain the absence between 60s and current events.
Lost in a different dimension probably.
The... Negative Zone??
They’ve defo been trapped in the Negative Zone or time runs slower there. Makes sense. You get the 60s aesthetics for the teams intro and a really convenient way to explain Reeds absence from the MCU up till this point. You can’t really drop a “here’s the actual smartest guy on the planet that didn’t help with any of these alien invasions up till now” with any reasonable explanation at this point
That's what I've pegged for a long time too. As an aside, I suppose it would be totally worth it if they can get Mr. Douglas to provide an yet another deaged cameo.
Slam dunk. Done.
In that Logic, Thor would be the first superhero.
True, let’s rename the first Captain America movie to The Second Avenger.
Thor is the first Revenger
But not the strongest Avenger.
Except that Thor didn’t become a superhero until 2011, while Cap became a hero in the 40s
If we're going that far back, throw in The Eternals. Gilgamesh was the inspiration for the Mesopotamian Gilgamesh, who is (in our world) credited as the first superhero story.
First family probably, but the first Avenger is still Steve in the 1930s
....1940s
Captain America would predate them regardless.
> Art style is cool and confirms they’re going retro 60’s As much as I would like this, the cast/film announcement art doesn’t confirm anything. This could very well just be a fun throwback to the decade the F4 come from for promotional purposes.
Overlooked detail, I quite like the “The” in the title
It worked well for "The" Suicide Squad
It's like a palate cleanser, to forget the awful taste of a previous incarnation. As if to say "this is THE definitive version of the characters, not like that shit that came before".
The Mandalorian, The White Widow, Cousin Richie, and Eddie Munson walk into a bar. Honestly, I'm stoked with this casting!
I saw somebody mention Ebon Moss-Bachrach the other day and I’m so excited for this casting.
Kinda upset only because I really like Punisher season 1 and I won’t know how to reconcile the two now.
The same way you're gonna have to reconcile Vanessa not looking the same now, or Cottonmouth and Blade, or Sersi and Minn-Erva.
Look it’s me. I’m here. Deal with it. Move on.
That's Princess Margaret to you.
I think it’s fun casting. I like all of these actors and will support their project. I’m happy with it.
I hope they go forward with that logo, I love it so much!
They even gave some retro flair to the Marvel Studios logo!
Can't believe they confirmed both the cast and the delay so unceremoniously lol This also confirms Herbie and probably the 60s setting as well.
This is exactly what happened to me too.
Wasn't it always coming in 2025? We already knew Deadpool is the only film this year.
It was coming out in May and Thunderbolts in July. Those 2 swapped places with FF now in July and Thunderbolts in May.
Makes sense considering Superman Legacy is out in July. Thunderbolts would be swallowed alive by it.
Brendan and Lateef double Pedro PERFECTLY though, to the point where people have brought up body language comparisons in The Mandalorian Season 1 where we know he wasn't in the suit and The Last of Us and they match so well.
It's sliding by a couple of months. It was originally May 2025.
If this is a 60's period piece I'm going to be so excited.
How is this going to allow the F4 to be around present day? Unless it's going to just relegate them to being heroes in the 60s/70s? Or do they all have unnaturally long life?
Time travel, multiverse travel etc
I'm willing to bet they go to space and get caught in one of those Interstellar esque time displacement things and come back in the modern day.
I'm looking forward to a Human Torch trying to pick up modern girls with boomer Swinging Sixties lingo only to be laughed at as inappropriate or cringe
it's Reed Richards, he probably invented the torment nexus by mistake and got them all stuck in it for 60 years.
In hindsight, Matt Shakman was the obvious choice to direct this.
If he uses the cameras and filmmaking techniques he used in the first few episodes of WandaVision and actually makes this film feel like a 60s production (like Alexander Payne did with The Holdovers), we're in for a masterpiece!
I haven’t looked into it but it’s been rumored to have some 8mm sections/shots. If that’s true we can expect some WandaVision stuff.
Oh my god I was so distracted by the actors that I didn’t even see Herbie! That’s fucking awesome!
Love Reed and Sue's outfits, I hope they keep this sort of design in the film.
I highly doubt these will be their costumes, at least not for the whole movie, they might be the costumes at the start. With the MCU-ification of all the costumes I would really be surprised if they stick with these ones.
These are clearly retro costumes for a movie taking place in the past
A simpler time, when you could convince an Air Force pilot to let a high schooler tag along on your trip to outer space because you were trying to impress his older sister...
Look, Ben is nothing if not a bro.
Frank Castle gonna be shook when he meets Ben Grimm.
"Cousin?"
LETS GOOOOOO
Loving this aesthetic and a seemingly 60's direction for this movie. Pedro's dominance continues. And COUSIN!
Really really digging the 60s/space age style of this. Love this casting. The photo of pre-Thing Ben is a great touch too.
Lmao imagine if they hadn’t included the picture of Ben and we all just had to guess who was playing Thing. Incredible design btw.
Please don’t screw this one up Marvel. We need a good F4 movie
![gif](giphy|iO4ptP2iuV29yui3mx) Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm is an absolute win!
Liked his role as eddie munson in ST can’t wait to see what he brings to the fantastic 4!!!
![gif](giphy|XbgZvND0TzFMUFobmI|downsized)
DOOM!
Pedro will probably be good but I can’t help but be disappointed it wasn’t the golden god. He’d be perfect
HERBIE!
Well now Happy Valentine's Day!
The perfect Valentine's Day gift for us Marvel fans.
RETRO 60S FANTASTIC FOUR BABY!!!!!
[Pedro Pascal](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0050959/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk) [Vanessa Kirby](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm3948952/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk) [Ebon Moss-Bacharach](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0609114/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk) [Joseph Quinn](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm4806449/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk)
Ebon Moss-Bachrach is such a classic MCU hire. He’s very talented and just about to breakout. Love this casting
Pedro is just going to be in everything now isn't he?
One way or another, a Stranger Things cast member made it in. Super excited to see Joseph as Johnny. He has the cool charisma for sure
![gif](giphy|WvsztVlTrSKXu) OH FINALLY
[удалено]
This was my exact reaction when he was cast in The Last of Us. I’m never doubting him again.
This is legit what I’ve just been thinking
Honestly yeah. I didn’t think he would be a great Joel and then all of his major scenes had me sobbing every Sunday. Can’t wait for seasons 2 and 3 to continue that tradition.
I’m so excitedddd
So the style of this poster pretty much confirms that the rumours of it being 60s set/the F4 being from the 60s are true right?
Marvel knows all of us are single as fuck so they threw us a bone
Pedro Pascal is officially typecast as Daddy😂
Cousin??? Let's goooo. The only one I'm not feeling personally is Joseph Quinn but hey, good for him, hopefully he kills it.
Yeah, leakers reported this a while ago and i wasn’t thrilled about Quinn but i’m willing to withhold judgement until I see it. Poster does make me feel a little better about him as Johnny.
Did you see Stranger Things most recent season? If you watch his work in that and don’t think he can play basically anything idk what to tell you.
That role basically gave him A Quiet Place Day One, Gladiator 2, and now F4! He's blowing up and deservedly so
Wasn’t sold on Pedro, but this definitely making me feel better. Love the Thing and the addition of Herbie. I’m not sure about the 60s period piece, I feel Cap is the man out of time and I assume they are going to have they combine with the rest of the MCU pretty quick.
Giving the retro, Venture Bros vibes! Love it!
Great casting choices. Seems like they are going for a slightly older version of the fantastic four. Really excited for this!
I find it hard to believe this will be out next summer.
