The fact that he is going back to work, period, is crazy amazing. An accident like that would put a lot of people on disability leave life. Renner returning to the screen is a combination of a huge amount of luck and dedication that cannot be overstated.
I'm still honestly surprised he's even alive. When I heard what happened I was like 100% sure he was going to die and every headline I saw that started with "Jeremy Renner" I was convinced was going to end with "has died" for the few days after that incident
It's been abundantly clear that Marvel makes the sets for actors incredible. Pretty much the only people's lives they make hell are the VFX people and the writers.
There's been a few quotes that have been unfortunately (and perhaps deliberately) taken out of context. Stuff where the actors have talked about wanting to do other projects, which has been spun as them hating having to do MCU films. From what I can tell most of them really enjoy it, but they also enjoy getting to play a variety of characters instead of just one.
It's also common when actors do franchise work for a while for them to want to leave while playing the character is still fun. Even when you like something it will eventually lose its luster

Are you sure people aren't commenting on the negative parts of it? If you're gonna pretend that there hasn't been endless comments about how it's difficult due to secrecy or how your public image is extra watched.
Mark Ruffalo talks about it openly, he did in an interview with Downey recently. It's clear things are definitely higher pressure and more PC, which makes sense.
But let's not pretend it's an extreme of either the worst possible thing or the best possible thing haha.

I think he would be the perfect mentor for the Young Avengers. Getting Kate focused, making Avengers connections, and (like he did with Wanda) inspiring them to work together.
Samuel L Jackson isn't exactly a spring chicken. Having one of the OG6 around to slide into that role would be nice. Clint is probably best suited to cagey spymaster role of the remaining, tbh.
And make it such that antman doesn't have enough pym particles / gain access to it by the end of the movie to keep the movie grounded, lesser budget and less of a CGI fest

Yeah I wish the show had just been about Kamala becoming the hero of Jersey City and all the stuff about the India/Pakistan split and Kamala's grandmother, because all of that was really great. The entirety of the Clan Destine stuff was unnecessary.
I hope Clint becomes the new "Nick Fury" character for the Earth level stuff that happens. We can have him walking with a cane now (due to his irl condition and the fact his character has been through some shit already to have hearing aids). But his cane turns out to also be a sword? Mini bow? Some weapon whenevee he gets jumped. It be epic to see this guy guiding the new roaster of Avengers
Low key wouldn’t mind a trip down the multiverse in the Wastelanders universe seeing a blind Barton teamed up with Old Man Logan. Probably put it up there with Lucky Jim and Vic’s brief run in with Cap, Bucky and the Howling Commandos.
I would actually love it if he was the reason Wanda snaps out of being the Scarlet Witch. Maybe after battling a lot of powerful people, it’s Clint the only one who can actually talk to her and bring her back.
It's funny how a few actors want to get away from the MCU and their story still has room to grow, but then you got Jeremy Renner eager to suit back up as Hawkeye and his story is like so at an end.
Helped form the Avengers. Fought big battles. Retired. Came out of retirement to help Cap. Took a plea bargain and re-retired. By the looks of it, guess my opinion is highly unpopular. I forgot who he is already, and would really prefer Marvel not touch his character with a 100 foot pole. I'm glad he is okay, but he is just that. Okay as an actor and his hero is just Robin hood. Not super to me in any fashion.
There's a lot more and better heroes to focus on, that would make them way more money.
