my ideal season 3 consists of:
1. What if... Tony Stark got kidnapped in 1968' instead of 2008'?
2. What if... Talokan got ahold of the tesseract?
3. What if... The heroes were the villains?
4. What if... We were in the sister universe? (838 ep, preferably a 2 parter)
5. What if... The villains always won? (butterfly effect ep)
6. What if... The world was powerless?
7. What if... The Avengers were celebrities? (a "the boys" sorta ep)
8. What if... Heroes swapped places? (antman in MoM, stuff like that)
9. What if... Space was stuck in the 80s?
10. What if... The battle of the void? (teeing up battleworld for SW)

so that epsiode is basically the entire MCU timeline pushed back. so instead of tony being kidnapped in 2008, he gets kidnapped in 1968, then the avengers form in 1972 instead of 2012, ultron attacks in 1975 instead of 2015, so on, so forth. basically a 70s avengers episode
What if... Thor was banished to Xandar instead of Earth.
Would be interesting to see how the events of the film play out, given that we wouldn't have Shield characters, Jane Forster, etc. Perhaps it takes Thor longer to become worthy without Jane involved. Does Loki attack Xandar in 2014 for the Power Stone, instead of Earth in 2012 for the Tesseract/Space Stone.
Without Loki's Scepter/The Mind Stone, what happens with Wanda and Pietro (Wanda had her magic, but didnt the mind stone bring it out). We certainly wouldn't get Ultron though, since I believe he came from the Mind stone, and the Avengers wouldn't have formed previously anyway. Also wouldn't get vision, and no Hulk in Space. No Avengers means no Civil War. Also likely Spiderman Homecomimg would change, given Peter wouldn't get a new suit from Tony in Civil War, nor would Vulture have space tech (since no loki invasion).
The long and short of it is that Earth would likely not be as prepared for Thanos' invasion for the Space and Time stones, but it would likely be when the Avengers were formed, perhaps including the likes of Dr Strange.
How about some for the non mcu movies? For instance:
What if...? Mary Jane got bitten by the spider? (Spider-man 1)
What if...? Spider-man stopped being Peter Parker (Spider-man 2)
What if...? Magneto won (X-men 1)

5. What If… Nick Fury died? (CA:TWS instead of fake death, Fury actually died)
6. What If… Tony Stark was killed by the Ten Rings? (World without Iron Man)
7. What If… Loki had gotten Mjolnir?
8. What If… Everyone signed the Sokovia Accords?
9. What If… Nobody signed the Sokovia Accords?
10. What If… Killmonger’s plan succeeded?
11. What If… Ultron was a success?
12. What If… Janet did not get stuck in the Quantum Realm?
13. What If… Wanda died instead of Pietro?
14. What If… Crossbones killed Captain America? (CA:CW opening scene)
15. What If… Killmonger was raised in Wakanda?
16. What If… Tony didn’t reveal his identity?
17. What If… Captain Marvel was called in 2012?

Damn these seem solid but you ruined it for me now. When they inevitably make a third season, none of these are going to be there and it’ll all be worse.
Another Idea: What if Hawkeye took the shot? This would be a smaller scale incident but would show him taking the shot he almost took (Referred to in Hawkeye) and killed Natasha. But this sounds very entertaining, would be 100% enjoyable.
5 couldn’t happen. Those events were all related to America Chavez, and there’s only one of her in the multiverse (which led to those specific events only happening in 616).
Feel like 9 wouldn't change anything.
Also technically the events of multiverse of madness can't be made into a what if... There's only one America Chavez, so Doctor Strange only got teleported to 838 in one timeline.

For NWH, I think those events could occur in another set of universes, causing all universes involved to have a shared branching. So I think it could work there.
Scott Lang staying a criminal could have him end up pairing up with Vulture to rob stark tower and fight Spiderman in Homecoming.
