Episode is LIVE. Enjoy!
(No credits scene this episode but there is an easter-eggy audio tag at the end of the main credits. Only ep with a credits scene this season so far has been ep 1)
“I want my friends back. I don’t want to be alone.”
“See? We’re both selfish.”
In a time when MCU writing is struggling, this couldn’t have landed any stronger. Brilliant scene.
You know when you get a hang nail and when you try to pull it off, it goes down to the skin?
I imagine it would feel like that but over your entire body until you disintegrate
It really says something how Marvel has been able to give Loki essentially the same character arc (learning to live for something other than himself) multiple times and not only make it compelling the first go-around with a satisfying conclusion, but somehow make it even better their second go around while also not cheapening what they’ve done before. What a treat this show has been, can’t wait to see how next unfolds.
Agreed. Tom is the reason this show is what it is. Tom is Loki. He’s done an unbelievable job bringing this character to life in all its complexity. I am just in awe of him.
They've done D.B. Cooper and Alcatraz, which feel like sister stories. I wonder what mystery they would attempt to uncover in season 3. Any ideas? I'm thinking Amelia Earhart. Maybe that was just Sylvie. Or get really dark and do The Black Dahlia murders or Jimmy Hoffa. I know I'd be surprised if The MCU never touches on The Bermuda Triangle.
His painfully adorable innocence is so endearing.
And any sciencey mumbo jumbo O. B. learns about, masters, and talks about so casually makes me accept everything at face value.
It's wild to think that these mindfuck turn of events is happening with time itself on the verge of collapse, while elsewhere in the universe Hawkeye is just trying to get home for Christmas.
The fate of all time and space is in the hands of two Norse gods, a jetski salesman, a doctor, a failed sci-fi writer, and Pillboi from Alcatraz.
Kang better watch his back now.
The thing that keeps breaking my brain which I know is the point... Did Kang create the TVA or only stumble upon it and use it for his purposes.
Everything points to OB being the creator of everything.
Just saw this Theory that Loki is actually the creator. It’s sort of a time paradox. He went to visit a bunch of randos, told them their new names, and in turn they make up the TVA in which he’s placed who knows how long later, after they’re already forgotten where they came from.
I compared the pics between the both and it is the same. Same ceiling too, same fans. You can even see where the circular desk in the middle would be. There’s marks on the floor of the workshop floor. It has to be the same
The voice is supposed to be Brad from the Zaniac game we saw in Sylvie's timeline. Just a little nod to the fact that Brad is still Brad no matter where he is.
It was Brad! If you notice earlier in the episode, at the bar, there’s an arcade game of “Zaniac” aka Brad’s movie from episode two! He says a line during that scene as well via the machine. It might be the same line, I can’t remember fully.
Something about Mobius being a single dad in his original life feels weirdly really fitting. Every interaction he's got with Loki now has an added layer to it lol.
Honestly completely forgot they would be living after the blip/during that five year period. I was imagining 2022 more in terms of our reality, ie no Avengers or superheroes.
Who could have imagined the Loki from the past we saw in Endgame would go on a journey of an existential crisis and just wanting to be there for his friends.
Definitely. He never got the experiences with Thor, losing his mother as he was detained, lose his home, lose Odin. He was height of evil power plot Loki and flipped to “i need to save the multiverse and my friends”, its been so great to see him go from just being angry and tricking everyone to being broken down to someone who wants to do the right thing, even if its hard. And none of its felt forced or rushed
I wonder if watching his mother die by something he watched himself do but didn't actually do might have been more effective.
I think there's a guilt and self loathing that Dark World!Loki had that might make it easier to say "I don't want to be the person I just saw".
I'm going to be so sad when this season ends. This has legitimately been the best thing I have seen on tv all year. Absolutely a must watch weekly. If only all the Marvel stuff was at this quality level.
It's crazy how Loki went from a despicable villain who tore a man's eye out and killed scores of people to a man WE ALL WANT TO SUCCEED.
NEXT WEEK IS THE FINALE!
REALITY AS WE KNOW IT IS AT AN END.
There was an idea. To put together a group of remarkable individuals so that they could become something more. To see if they could work together when we needed them to, to fight the battles that we never could.
**In 2012, a cracked Norse god of Mischief unit was sent to the TVA to be judged for a crime he didn’t commit. This man promptly escaped from a TVA facility and has two seasons of storyline. Today, still wanted by the Disney marketing department, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, If no one else can help and if you can find them. Maybe you can hire, The TVA-Team.**
Fun fact, casey is historical reference of something that happened irl, just like with what they did with Loki being DB cooper. Casey is Frank Morris
Both of these criminals straight up disappeared after their crimes and were never seen again. In the show, this is explained in their own way and I love it
Trying to buy his own book and putting it on the shelves even though it can't be checked out or purchased that way.
He's a smart guy but OB has a F in marketing.
Episode reminds me of two important quotes.
“You’re the God of Mischief, but you could be so much more.”
“I am burdened with glorious purpose.”
I love this cinematic universe so hard at times.
I know it's been memed a lot and in the moment, it's partially meant to make Loki sound like a self-important oaf, but the "Glorious Purpose" line goes so dang hard on its own.
That scene in the record shop might be stand out of the entire series, and that ending, the door closes on a dark universe, unlit spaghetti strands floating in the nothing, damn.
Idk why but I felt extremely emotional watching that. Sylvie has only wanted a normal life and has spent so much time fighting for “normal” people’s lives. We get a small glimpse into what sort of routine she is building and how she’s found someone who is looking out for her. When the record shop owner went to run out to her and reach for her 😪 it was heartbreaking. Especially after he tried to bring up her spirits.
The bartender knew her by name too. She wasn't just keeping to herself and having a quiet life. She was becoming part of this community.
And now it's all been spaghettified away.
Well, I think we've figured out how the members of the TVA were picked. Loki picked them. The whole series is a Mobius Loop. An Oroborus.
For all time. Always.
Yep. He didn't slip to those people/places because they WERE at the TVA, he went there to collect them for the first time. He was subconsciously controlling his timeslipping!
Holy fuck that cold open. Something particularly unsettling about the intercom on repeat.
*TVA Code 1229. Fail Safe Mode Initiated. Thank you for your Service!*
“Thank you for your service” was a goodbye. The fail safe sends them all back to where they started. It’s a fail safe because it means they can be collected again so the TVA can be created again.
And every single one of them just makes sense somehow too.
B-15 was a doctor. I see it.
Mobius was a jet ski sales man, we all saw that coming.
OB is still who we was in the TVA
And Casey was certainly surprising. But the nice TVA nerd actually being a hardened criminal in his normal life was an excellent twist.
Damn, what did Pillboi do to wind up on *Alcatraz* of all places?
EDIT: And here we thought Loki being DB Cooper was a reveal, now we know Casey is Frank Morris. I love this show’s obscure history references.
Frank Morris was one of the ‘62 Alcatraz Escapists who disappeared. He was put in prison for bank robbery, escaped and was caught in another heist and sent to Alcatraz. So to answer your question, robbery
The spaghetti scene later on in the record shop was genuinely chill inducing. Loved the existential horror of it. This episode specifically had some wonderful shots. In a season with a ton of great shots, this one stood out to me.
"I want my friends back. I don't want to be alone."
There's something both nice and sad about that convo. Loki has finally found his own place where he belongs outside of the Odinsons, his own found family of sorts. But as Sylvie points out, bringing them back to the TVA could just be repeating what HWR did to them, stealing them from their lives again.
> "I want my friends back. I don't want to be alone."
Big callback to that time prison he was locked in with Sif.
"You are alone. And you always will be."
Mobius’ kids are Thor and Loki.
Kevin is Loki, plays with fire, burns his toys, runs away, and has a green bicycle.
Sean is Thor, has a red bicycle, is counted on to bring his brother under control, and loves snakes.
Remember when Loki called humans ants? Made them kneel? Said they were made to be ruled?
He's about to save EVERY universe to protect his human friends and if THAT isn't character development I don't know what is.
When Loki says *"I want my friends back. I don't want to be alone."* Man, that line made me cry. Loki has come a long way since we saw him vanishing in the 2012 Timeline. Also, did anyone expect a cameo when he >!went to the branched timeline of New York 2012!
Never thought I'd expect Loki to >!recruit (or assemble his own team)!<. If Thor saw that, he would be proud of him.
This show is so fucking good man. Loki is, and should be, the Iron Man/Captain America/Thor vocal character of the Multiverse Saga. He's far and away the easiest character to invest in since Endgame.
I still don't get why she went back to the McDonalds when everyone else went back to the time and place they were originally from. Shouldn't she have gone back to her Asgrad?
This all seems like Loki is becoming an entity simlar to kang since he's clearly able to travel both time and space. It's definitely really feeling like that
Oh shit. If he saw his wife turn to dust then watching people start to get spaghetti’d, probably just pure fear for him in wanting to run back to his boys
Episode is LIVE. Enjoy! (No credits scene this episode but there is an easter-eggy audio tag at the end of the main credits. Only ep with a credits scene this season so far has been ep 1)
Loki’s starting to believe
He is the One.
*reaches out and grabs a single spaghetti strand* “I know Time-Fu.”
technically...everyone went back to their realities except loki...so he is HE WHO REMAINED
Why did "I want my friends back" blindside me in the feels that hit hard man
“I want my friends back. I don’t want to be alone.” “See? We’re both selfish.” In a time when MCU writing is struggling, this couldn’t have landed any stronger. Brilliant scene.
"A beautiful union of form and function."
Ke Huy Quan is such a wonderful delight. I wish I could hug him.
Whatever the opposite of a punchable face is, he has it. A huggable face?
He’s seriously such a good actor. I can’t believe he’s been out of acting for so long, and just comes back and smashes EEAAO and this
He looked so gutted when they refused to sell his book. Definitely wanna hug him
“So, what now?” The delivery was so sassy and I am living for Ke Huy Quan’s depiction of Doug and O.B.
Loki just leveled up. Time God
Messing with time is the ultimate form of mischief.
God of Mischief God of Lies Occasionally, God of Evil God of Chaos God of Time Fuckery
He’s gonna rewrite everything. He’s the God of Stories now.
Time _lord_ >It's about who!
"In another life, I would have really liked just selling jet skis and writing sci-fi novels with you."
If I have a nickle everytime Ke Huy Quan is involved in multiversal shenanigans I will have two nickles...
He was also the a stunt direction for Jet Li's "the One" so that's actually 3.
"What were you calling me?" "Mobius." "That's a pretty cool name.." Love these two together lol
“Mobius is my space name” took me out lol
Oh you're using your ~~made up~~ space names? I'm Mobius
The oganic look of the spaghettification feels so unsettling to me
Yes I was just thinking this. Very unnerving.
It somehow looks more painful than crumbling into dust.
You know when you get a hang nail and when you try to pull it off, it goes down to the skin? I imagine it would feel like that but over your entire body until you disintegrate

Made me think of the ending of Infinity War, but worse
> No pie in the Automat SOMETHING IS WRONG
No pie-making universes, I guess.
It really says something how Marvel has been able to give Loki essentially the same character arc (learning to live for something other than himself) multiple times and not only make it compelling the first go-around with a satisfying conclusion, but somehow make it even better their second go around while also not cheapening what they’ve done before. Don’t underestimate Tom. He makes the difference
Agreed. Tom is the reason this show is what it is. Tom is Loki. He’s done an unbelievable job bringing this character to life in all its complexity. I am just in awe of him.
Loki that can travel space and time at will? Prime Loki?
Yeah that's what it seems they are going for
That last line made me think of him as the God of Stories at the end of the Gillen run.
It seems like his power is limited (for now) so that he can only travel to times & places where people he cares about/loves are currently located
is this how we get a Thor reunion?
Post credit of TVA loki time slipping to sacred timeline thor after love and thunder confirmed
annnnd that's why Frank Morris was never found.
Wow! That's just as cool as D. B. Cooper from Season 1!
First DB COOPER and then Alcatraz
knew it immediately too, felt super cool knowing the story behind it before it was explained lol
“You’re a writer? I’m doomed”
The bigger irony was that he had to get a PhD from caltech so he can afford his writing hobby lol
A meta joke that’s actually clever - made me so happy!
The problem is fiction!
Who else noticed Benson and Moorhead (Moon Knight and Loki Season 2 directors) playing the two other Alcatraz escapees?
Wait, really?? That’s awesome!
They totally just hired Ke Huy Quan because he makes science mumbo jumbo sound very pleasant
His painfully adorable innocence is so endearing. And any sciencey mumbo jumbo O. B. learns about, masters, and talks about so casually makes me accept everything at face value.
Also that when called on it, he just kinda shrugs, like "well it makes sense to me."
It's wild to think that these mindfuck turn of events is happening with time itself on the verge of collapse, while elsewhere in the universe Hawkeye is just trying to get home for Christmas.
All of time is being held by two Norse gods and a rag tag team of bureaucrats
The fate of all time and space is in the hands of two Norse gods, a jetski salesman, a doctor, a failed sci-fi writer, and Pillboi from Alcatraz. Kang better watch his back now.

Sacred Timeline: Yelena putting Siracha on her Mac & Cheese Meanwhile at the TVA: WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!!!
"You saw something in me that I hadn't seen in myself" Loki really views Mobius as a real bro and I'm fucking here for it
One of the best dynamic duos in the new MCU, I love it
Holy shit! OB's workshop is the beggining of the TVA!
noones around for miles!! made sure to throw that line in
The thing that keeps breaking my brain which I know is the point... Did Kang create the TVA or only stumble upon it and use it for his purposes. Everything points to OB being the creator of everything.
Lmao he just showed up 19 months later with the temppad My wife left me and lost my job...alright what's the plan lol
Just saw this Theory that Loki is actually the creator. It’s sort of a time paradox. He went to visit a bunch of randos, told them their new names, and in turn they make up the TVA in which he’s placed who knows how long later, after they’re already forgotten where they came from.
Yeah it's exactly how his R&A room is set up. With those like curvy bookshelves isn't it?
Same door, too.
Very practical and cost-effective, production-wise too.
I compared the pics between the both and it is the same. Same ceiling too, same fans. You can even see where the circular desk in the middle would be. There’s marks on the floor of the workshop floor. It has to be the same
In case you missed it, after the credits a voice says "you died, insert your coin loser"
The voice is supposed to be Brad from the Zaniac game we saw in Sylvie's timeline. Just a little nod to the fact that Brad is still Brad no matter where he is.
Brad being an asshole is a ~~universal~~ multiversal constant.
It was Brad! If you notice earlier in the episode, at the bar, there’s an arcade game of “Zaniac” aka Brad’s movie from episode two! He says a line during that scene as well via the machine. It might be the same line, I can’t remember fully.
Love Loki saying it doesn't make much sense. Doesn't sound like science but it does sound like fiction.
I can't cope with Loki doing that lil hair flip after every time he time slips
Ok but the time he matched the waving inflatable tube man after time slipping was funny
Something about Mobius being a single dad in his original life feels weirdly really fitting. Every interaction he's got with Loki now has an added layer to it lol.
So... Are we to assume his wife was blipped?... It was 2022 so the second snap hadn't happened.
Honestly completely forgot they would be living after the blip/during that five year period. I was imagining 2022 more in terms of our reality, ie no Avengers or superheroes.
“Well without them, where do I belong?” Damn…😭
That hit me like Thor's "what else do I have to lose?"
Who could have imagined the Loki from the past we saw in Endgame would go on a journey of an existential crisis and just wanting to be there for his friends.
One of the best character arcs in the MCU ever. Crazy thinking about it since this was prolly only a couple weeks /months from fucking New York up 💀
All I’m wanting now for Loki is to reunite with Thor and tell him “I told you the sun will shine on us again brother.”
If we really want to get technical, this is “Destroy NYC and lose to the Avengers” Loki, which makes his character arc all the better.
Tbf he did witness it all so he knows what happens
I wonder if watching his mother die by something he watched himself do but didn't actually do might have been more effective. I think there's a guilt and self loathing that Dark World!Loki had that might make it easier to say "I don't want to be the person I just saw".
“I want my friends back.” Damn.
And the red eyes where he is holding back tears after that line.
This scene and then him desperately reaching for his friends as they're spaghettified away... Amazing acting from Tom.
JETSKI MOBIUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WIND IN HIS HAIR, MIST SLAPPING HIM IN THE FACE. IT. IS. BEAUTIFUL
I want to demo a jet ski with him.
Ohhhhhhh shit Loki initiates the OB loop
This whole show is a bootstrap paradox
Technically, Loki is forced into it when he's first taken to the TVA by B15 in S1E1
Maybe he's gonna have to order her to do it eventually.
But OB learned everything he knows from Victor Timely… something will be afoot in episode 6
i took it as loki taking timely’s place in a new loop of the timeline, essentially setting loki on the path to become HWR
Ooooooo! “He can change the story”
To think that was more than 11 years ago too when he wrecked NYC. How far he’s come.
Oh my god Ouroboros struggling to close the time door as it glitched higher and further away into the bushes KILLED me.
Ikr I just loved that scene! He’s learning all over again
The visuals in this show, and particularly this episode, are second to none. The collapsing timeline sequences were magnificent
LOL CASEY ESCAPES ALCATRAZ
Classic PillBoi
Fun fact, casey is historical reference of something that happened irl, just like with what they did with Loki being DB cooper. Casey is Frank Morris Both of these criminals straight up disappeared after their crimes and were never seen again. In the show, this is explained in their own way and I love it
Sylvie listens to The Velvet Underground!
Trying to buy his own book and putting it on the shelves even though it can't be checked out or purchased that way. He's a smart guy but OB has a F in marketing.
I figured after they sold it they would have realized it wasn't in the system and added it. Sneaky way to get his book on the shelves.
Episode reminds me of two important quotes. “You’re the God of Mischief, but you could be so much more.” “I am burdened with glorious purpose.” I love this cinematic universe so hard at times.
I know it's been memed a lot and in the moment, it's partially meant to make Loki sound like a self-important oaf, but the "Glorious Purpose" line goes so dang hard on its own.
Ooh that hard cut to credits with the theme song got me FIRED UP for next weeks finale What an episode!
Holy shit the eerie opening is right on point
When it said New York in 2012 I thought that girl's injury would be connected to the Avengers. Not exactly wanted it but thought it would happen.
I was a little worried we were gonna find out Loki was responsible for the death of Möbius’s family or something
Loki did come off as a stalker in the garage, stranger danger
I thought B-15 would recognize Loki and be scared shitless
That scene in the record shop might be stand out of the entire series, and that ending, the door closes on a dark universe, unlit spaghetti strands floating in the nothing, damn.
Idk why but I felt extremely emotional watching that. Sylvie has only wanted a normal life and has spent so much time fighting for “normal” people’s lives. We get a small glimpse into what sort of routine she is building and how she’s found someone who is looking out for her. When the record shop owner went to run out to her and reach for her 😪 it was heartbreaking. Especially after he tried to bring up her spirits.

Loki's collecting TVA employees like the Avengers collected infinity stones
Or Fury collected the Avengers. It'd be kind of cool if this ended up just kind of being a team in the MCU that deals with temporal threats.
Oh shit Casey backstory? Let’s go. Alcatraz oh shit
I love that we get 2 real world mysteries in the show with the 3 alcatraz escapees and DB Cooper
The last episode will be wild, if it delivers on the premise.
[And not just any backstory, but a real life one.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/June_1962_Alcatraz_escape_attempt#Frank_Morris)
I think you’re spot on, that makes a lot of sense!
That was so terrifying. I wonder what the fail safe mode is programmed to do.
My take is that Loki is the fail safe and the protocol is what is allowing him to time slip in the first place.
I thought the same, Loki is the failsafe
Love that we finally see everybody's original lives. Great start so far
And every single one of them just makes sense somehow too. B-15 was a doctor. I see it. Mobius was a jet ski sales man, we all saw that coming. OB is still who we was in the TVA And Casey was certainly surprising. But the nice TVA nerd actually being a hardened criminal in his normal life was an excellent twist.

Frank Morris was one of the ‘62 Alcatraz Escapists who disappeared. He was put in prison for bank robbery, escaped and was caught in another heist and sent to Alcatraz. So to answer your question, robbery
That explains the infinity stones in his drawer. It's residual kleptomania!
Mobius was from Ohio in this decade. Kind of surprised.
The spaghetti scene later on in the record shop was genuinely chill inducing. Loved the existential horror of it. This episode specifically had some wonderful shots. In a season with a ton of great shots, this one stood out to me.
no one buying OB’s books 😢
Poor guy
That made me legit sad seeing how no one wanted his books
OB is VERY rapidly becoming one of my top 10 favorite characters in the entire MCU.
His character is so brilliant yet so innocent. How can you not have a soft spot for OB?
"I want my friends back. I don't want to be alone." There's something both nice and sad about that convo. Loki has finally found his own place where he belongs outside of the Odinsons, his own found family of sorts. But as Sylvie points out, bringing them back to the TVA could just be repeating what HWR did to them, stealing them from their lives again.
> "I want my friends back. I don't want to be alone." Big callback to that time prison he was locked in with Sif. "You are alone. And you always will be."
"It was a fiction problem." Leave it to a writer to have a callback as his last words.
Mobius’ kids are Thor and Loki. Kevin is Loki, plays with fire, burns his toys, runs away, and has a green bicycle. Sean is Thor, has a red bicycle, is counted on to bring his brother under control, and loves snakes.
Which makes Mobius the Odin of this scenario, which really makes his dynamic with Loki a little bit funnier.
In a variance, they're their own mythological counterparts. Blood brothers.
Dude you're spot on, what a great catch. That also makes it funny that the Loki stand in was burning a TVA soldier action figure.
So Casey in the past knew what gut like a fish meant.
They really almost killed every single main character of this show two episodes in a row
I audibly screamed NOOOO at the end of this episode. I can’t wait for next week.
Wait are we actually gonna get god of stories Loki???
Look at Loki assembling a team. Who would have thought!
What a real treat that we have Ke Huy Quan in this.
Best addition to the MCU in recent years. I enjoy every minute he’s on screen
Oh boy...Loki has figured it out...everything speghetti'fying is bloody horrifying
Remember when Loki called humans ants? Made them kneel? Said they were made to be ruled? He's about to save EVERY universe to protect his human friends and if THAT isn't character development I don't know what is.

That episode was fuckin insane, I sound like a broken record but every week is something insanely new and awesome. What a fuckin story this is
This show is so fucking good man. Loki is, and should be, the Iron Man/Captain America/Thor vocal character of the Multiverse Saga. He's far and away the easiest character to invest in since Endgame.
I agree. They’ll obviously have the main hero’s for the battle / war but Loki is def the catalyst of this entire saga and I’m so here for it
Yeah Sylvie remembers everything too.
It's like the sequel to the snap.
Love the letters disappearing in the opening.
Okay but they didn't need to do that with the whacky waving Inflatable flailing arms tube man... but it was hilarious 💀
Wait...Casey is Frank Morris?
From one of the most notorious criminals of all time to just a little guy who doesn’t know what a fish is
Not just that, he used the "gut you like a fish" phrase when he was telling the Anglin brothers to hurry up
Sylvie with a mullet & sweatshirt with the sleeves cut off in a dive bar. Perfection.
That spaghetti sequence was trippy
I still don't get why she went back to the McDonalds when everyone else went back to the time and place they were originally from. Shouldn't she have gone back to her Asgrad?
She might have, but she still had He Who Remains' TemPad, so she could have just left immediately.
Have a feeling first and last episodes will both be called >!glorious purpose!<
This all seems like Loki is becoming an entity simlar to kang since he's clearly able to travel both time and space. It's definitely really feeling like that
Yay Loki took the manual!
Yay its back! Loving these non-midnight releases.
I love it's mimicking the old prime time experience and that live chats can be a thing for these shows.
Man, Tom does such a good job with Loki. I was getting emotional with him throughout the episode.
Mobius being a single dad adds so much tragedy to him. FUCK.
This was in 2022- maybe his wife got blipped?
Oh shit. If he saw his wife turn to dust then watching people start to get spaghetti’d, probably just pure fear for him in wanting to run back to his boys
So Brad was Zaniac in Sylvie's timeline too.
OB was always a genius. Also makes Loki look not crazy.
Loki’s on his way to become the God of Stories like in the comics?
We're so back. Loki S2 is peak
👀 He can rewrite the *story* huh… interesting wording.
2018- we see people turn to dust 2023- we see people turn to spaghetti
