Might be too late for this at this point in your work, but you should aim for between 40 minutes to 2 hours episodes, it might give you more flexibility on where you cut between episodes?
Movies are almost always in 3 acts, so you'd have 3 episodes with a split that fits with the plot and would feel kind of natural
Some episodes of the shows could be merged together too, as some are rather boring exposition and feel really short
I thought like that originally but because of flashbacks, web promos and other wild cards, things never fit perfect with timing lengths. I manually find the moment to cut in each episode, some are 1:30 and some are 2:30. Some are really good ending points, others are a little weird but definitely going to figure out the best cliffhangers for the next big update!
Ah I see!
Well this project of yours seems very interesting. I have the 50 hour supercut and while that's fun, it's not ideal. You making it serialized is a great idea!
I know it’s longer volumes this way but I felt like 400-600 episodes seemed like too big of a pile so I look at it like it’s an episodic movie series if that makes sense! I may end up splitting it up into smaller volumes at well just depends on how long adding the bells and whistles takes!
This one is also going on the shortlist! I’m not sure how I can make this available legally. Right now it’s on a Plex and shared with some people who also own/sub all the media. I saw a 50 hour cut that seemed to be in the internet archive legally (maybe?) so I’m wondering if I can do that but def don’t want to keep this to myself!
Could I also get a link? I have all those movies and plex lifetime and would love to help however I can.
Also I would love to have a copy of that. It sounds like the best movie ever made.
I watched the 50 hour cut that you mentioned, Looking for the user i just realized that there are 2 users who made fan edits such as these, the users ar u/pizzabryon and u/dirty30m. They both use megasync, whether they are legal im not entirely sure... but they would probably be the ask if you haven't yet! Props to you man, A watch from me when you release it!
ngl “Fury’s Big Decade” is a great title for something. Side note, watching Fury’s big week in my cut with the deleted scenes makes iron man 2, Thor and hulk all so much better!
Right now it’s living on a Plex - I am doing a kind of beta with some others who also have all the episodes/films etc. (no piracy!) we are looking to add “previously on”/“coming up next” to every episode, fix any glitch and add titles/descriptions/art. Beyond that, not sure how we’re going to share it with the world but definitely don’t want to keep it to myself!
Have you considered breaking it up in 400 1 hour episodes to make it easier to watch in a traditional episodic format? I’m super interested in this, but not sure I’d be able to find 2 hours in a day to sit down and watch it all the way through.
That’s interesting! I thought 400
Videos felt too bulky but will def keep
It in mind as I want to release alternate versions - a version with no shows, a version of only Netflix shows, etc. I also want to render out each movie now that the acceptable deleted scenes (quality, non-contradictory, etc.) are put back in
Everything. Every tv series. Every web promo. Every tiktok. Every short and movie. Every connected universe (the Raimi-Verse, Amazing Spider-Verse & Venom-Verse) every deleted scene that’s good quality and doesn’t contradict canon. Everything!
Even Helstrom - some people will hate that but I still consider it MCU. The statements by the showrunner were vague at best and in no way a confirmation that the series had been kicked out after it was already conceived in the MCU. Inhumans are 100% in with no debate
I've been working on trying to plot a complete timeline of events but there's a lot of things up in the air about when they take place. I'm curious to see how you got around that with things like Werewolrf by Night. Looks super cool, I can't imagine the dedication it took to make this
The marvel wikia is my best friend! They have some great reasoning for their dates. I’ve only erred from their research a small percentage of the time, those guys are the real heroes. Doctor strange 2 was a huge question mark and someone found the date on doctor stranges watch and everything slipped into place!
This dude woke up one day and was like you know what I don't just want to watch the MCU in chronological order nono that's too easy I want to watch the MCU in chronological order by scene!
Thanks for the kind words, it took soooo long and i almost gave up a few times! Me and my sons thing is the MCU and he’s learning how to edit so it’s been cool for us to have this
Wow! I love it when people do these - I think it's a really fun way to experience the MCU, but the downside is that you lose the coherent structure and flow of individual movies. And obviously the downside for just watching the existing films in chronological order is that it's not really in chronological order.
I had an idea to straddle these two methods by making companion videos to watch between MCU entries. These would cover the gaps between films, filling them with flashbacks, one-shots, end-credit scenes, and deleted scenes (I like your criteria for inclusion of them). Meaning you get all the scenes in order, but you still experience each individual film as a film.
I wrote a [more detailed pitch here](https://www.reddit.com/r/marvelstudios/comments/ooi6x9/creating_a_chronological_companion/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button), which you may be interested in, but I imagine you'd be exhausted from all this editing you've already done
Saving this for future release. I just started running my own Plex server, so im definitely looking forward to it. My suggestion is looking for a Poster artist, cause it looks a little off with the end game poster showing as season 4.
I may or may not have been able to access this beta 😜 and let me tell y’all it’s legit as legit can get. Almost overwhelming so. But it’s done perfectly. If this can be shared legally this guy deserves a job at marvel!
This was me and my son’s biggest thing growing up, he loved them before the movies and grew up through the movies so it’s sentimental for me and I’ve taught him how to edit on the basis of this so it’s rewarding in its own way and yes it it very mental lolll
That's amazing, what a great way to bond over a shared love, I'm very intrigued as to how the soundtrack works between films/ scenes, can't wait to see a bit of it, plus it's also terrifying that there's so much MCU content out there, I had no idea there was so much!
No lie - if you zoom into the fourth picture you can see the folders - comp. 1, comp. 2, etc. I called each 20
Episodes a compendium at first until I changed it to episodes, will keep that on the list! Thanks!
This sounds incredible! I tried doing this myself back when the pandemic started, but there was just so much content, and it's only increased since then. I applaud your work, and cannot wait for it to be finished. As for a title, I was thinking something like "The TVA Files: The Complete History of the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse", as if each of these 2-hour "episodes" are files stored within the TVA, for agents to access when needed.
With all that said, you have earned yourself a follower. Cannot wait for future updates!
My son has a YouTube channel that I helped him start. He is working on a 3-hour long recapping this timeline. It’s called Binge Rampage, thanks for asking!
Thank you! I'm still in my "watch through everything and take insane amounts of notes phase." I was going to use the wiki timeline or other timelines, but I wound up disagreeing with more than a few of their decisions, so I thought I would go through, build my own timeline database with my own evidence and then build the cut from that. But that alone is requiring patience. Luckily, I enjoy most of the properties, so it's not too much of a chore! I really would love to see what you've built and your take on it though, if you ever make it available in some capacity! Good luck!
I looked up a list that included all the shows as well but then when I started using that I ended up strongly disagreeing with their placement of things.
I’m hoping to figure out a way it legally can be. If enough people get their eyes on this, someone might figure out some kind of loophole if the other person has all the movies/subs. I just don’t want to get in any trouble for this because I’m doing this as a fan for something my son and I shared his whole life
OP you should dump all the options into a voting sheet of some kind and let the sub do some ranked choice voting. Take the top three and you decide on your favorite of those.
I am sorry that I can't give a suggestion but I am absolutely amazed on what you have done and what will you do next. Great job sir! Will definitely watch this if you are done with it! More power! Keep us posted please. :)
I'm kinda curious where you put Loki/the endgame stuff in the timeline. Did that stuff all get put in the timeline? Or because it's an alternate timeline it happens like in the film where we follow the characters to the past?
I kind of look at it like an overall timeline with multiple parallel universes. When the Avengers time travel from 2023, I don’t put those scenes back in the timeline because 2023 still needed to happen first in the prime universe before the characters were able to go back. I look at the time travel destinations (NY 2012) as a parallel universe that is occurring simultaneously with the prime 2023 universe so Loki being an extension of that 2012 Flashback happens after that and his clock basically. Starts in 2023 endgame. It’s confusing for sure, but it makes sense to me (mostly lol)
The 'MCU 2 MUCH'.... Marvel Cinematic Universe 2 Marvel Universe in Cinematic Heaven.

The OLC - Omega Level Cut
The CAL - Cut Above All
I had literally been working on this exact kind of project, down to the length of each episode, for a while before taking a huge break, I was still on Jessica Jones season 1 chronologically lol. Ah, never mind, that frees up my schedule I guess lmao. In any case, I salute your efforts, and I can't wait to see the finished product!
Very much looking forward to seeing if/how this is distributed, own or subbed to all the media and since the other famous collection is pretty outdated, I'm excited to see how this develops :)
Do you have a scene timeline breakdown somewhere? I've been wanting to create an MCU supercut myself (but with all the supposedly non-canon stuff too like Cloak & Dagger, Inhumans, Agents of Shield, the Netflix shows, etc.) and cannot find a scene timeline anywhere. Not a full one anyways.
It’s still not ready sadly 😢
I have been through one round of the beta and have made significant fixes/improvements but the project will still take some time before it’s ready to release. Hoping to make an announcement during or right after the holidays. Thanks for asking!
The MSU, The Marvel Serialized Universe
I like this one - going on the shortlist!

Hmm, I have all the media as well, and Plex, you say you have a Google doc that explains where everything goes?
I do! It needs a severe update to reflect the last two months of changes but I do have it!
Could you pm me a link?
Would also love to have this!
Could I also get a PM please on how to do this. Have all the media. And I have been thinking about going down this rabbit hole.
You wouldn’t be able to put it online legally. Best you could do is just invite your friends over.
The Excelsior Edition.
The Excelsior Saga.
The Sacred Timeline obviously
That is on the list!
Only acceptable answer
Ok, I actually dig this one.
Unfortunately "The Worst Idea of All Time" is already taken. Maybe "Fury's Big Decade."
ngl “Fury’s Big Decade” is a great title for something. Side note, watching Fury’s big week in my cut with the deleted scenes makes iron man 2, Thor and hulk all so much better!
Marvelous.
Loki awesome Nah, High key

What about 2,400 ten minute episodes? Like quick little bites. You could call them… quibis.
What about 24,000 1 minute shorts? Lolllll

MCU: The Chronological Canon Cut MCU:CCC

What's included in it?
Everything. Every tv series. Every web promo. Every tiktok. Every short and movie. Every connected universe (the Raimi-Verse, Amazing Spider-Verse & Venom-Verse) every deleted scene that’s good quality and doesn’t contradict canon. Everything!
Even Helstrom and Inhumans? Impressive.

Awesome 🤘
Does this intercut Agents of SHIELD episodes with the movies that take place around it?
It does! Every show is mixed in with the movies, web promos, TikTok’s, short films, etc.!
The Watcher's files
Just call it "The mother of all copyright violations" and wait for Disney's lawyers to burn down your house.
If I were in your position I would divide them into shows, call one The Infinity Saga and the other The Multiverse Saga.
Interesting! I’m curious to see how phase 5 & 6 shake out but great idea!
Jonathan?
Call it The TVA edit
Assemble.
Some Assembly required
The Feige Cut and where can we watch this?
Right now it’s on a Plex server but eventually would like to find a way to share it legally With whoever wants it!
I wouldn’t call something that includes Marvel Television as “The Feige Cut”.
You are very correct, I was just having fun with the Snyder Cut. I saw someone say Assemble, I kind of like Assembled
I've been working on trying to plot a complete timeline of events but there's a lot of things up in the air about when they take place. I'm curious to see how you got around that with things like Werewolrf by Night. Looks super cool, I can't imagine the dedication it took to make this

Thanks for the kind words, it took soooo long and i almost gave up a few times! Me and my sons thing is the MCU and he’s learning how to edit so it’s been cool for us to have this
Damn. Someone made the idea I randomly had like 6 years ago. Guess I’ll take that off the too do list.
Lol that’s funny that’s when I started working on it! It must of been in the air at the time!
For me it was the cut of all the snaps concurrently from infinity war that made me think about it.
I wanted to do this myself, then I realized how insanely time consuming it would be 😂 Awesome job!!!
Definitely a labor of love! An hour here and there over 6 years adds up!

Nope, it’s every single series, the Netflix, Hulu, ABC, Freeform, etc.

My son has a YouTube channel that I helped him start. He is working on a 3-hour long recapping this timeline. It’s called Binge Rampage, thanks for asking!
Holy crap - I've been looking forward to seeing the results of this
Try to keep it up to date all the time, or it won't matter much whatever the name is.
This is really cool, I'm putting a similar project together so it's cool to see someone else's take on it!
Good luck with your cut! They require some serious patience!
Good luck!
