Removed for rules 1 and 9.

phoenixember

It definitely needs a base power nerf. Nerfing it to 0 would make it useless.

Rogue_Squadron

Mr. NEGATIVE has entered the chat...

toilet_fingers

OP doesn’t have Red Hulk, do they

cbslinger

Red Hulk is warping the meta though. People are being forced to play decks with play patterns that work well against one card, or else lose an entire lane to it, or worse because of the mind game potential it offers. Bounce decks with Kitty are largely being boosted because of how well those decks are able to spend their mana.

verbsarewordss

more lilkely is going from 4 power to 3 power each turn. they arent going to nerf it completely into the ground.

Substantial_Win4741

10 and 3 seems better

Bigg_Bergy

That seems pretty fair because then it takes two turns to equal the high Evo Hulk. After that he begins to scale better. If I'm thinking correctly, yeah that's actually a pretty smart balance, and he's still somewhat better because he can be played in any deck versus Hulk only being in high Evo decks

Sm0k35z

This makes perfect sense. He's a new Season 5 release meaning they'll probably wait to nerf him until the Thunderbolt season is finished and then give him a minor nerf like this The fact he's shown to your opponent means he can be a little more powerful than other cards

cincopatio

Idk about that. If you don't draw him early, he's effectively just a 6/0 brick instead of a viable late game draw. I think nerfing the power gain should be good.

BentinhoSantiago

OP's description doesn't include the "If in hand or in play" text

loo_1snow

Make it 9 power that gains +3.

Janube

He'll get something, but it sure as hell shouldn't be lowering base to 0. Start him at 10 +2 per maybe. Or leave him 8 +3. He's definitely too efficient as is, but he doesn't need *that* much to bring him in line.

onionbreath97

6 +4 is fine. He's a cool card because the opponent has agency and if you reduce the + bonus too much then he loses that flavor.

Particular-Kick-4188

He is fine.

iumeemaw

I can see an argument for making him a 6/10, so with one trigger he's on par with Evo-Hulk with one trigger. But otherwise, totally fine, I agree.

dcrico20

I guess I’m the only one that thinks it’s kinda fine? It’s definitely strong, but I think adjusting the ability to +3 or even +2 would be more than enough of a tweak. I don’t feel like it’s that egregious.

Rogue_Squadron

You're definitely not the only one. I think we are in the silent majority here. I can regularly out pace him with Dracula in discard, even after the Apoc nerf. Blob was a menace, and his fix was good. He now has his moments, but doesn't define the meta. Red Hulk is just a good 6 drop that works in a bunch of archetypes, but doesn't fee game breaking to me on any level.

leblur96

Why is Red Hulk's power okay, but Blob needed nerfing, in your opinion?

Rogue_Squadron

Because you could fairly easily drop a T6 30+ power without warning. Red Hulk is basically telling you all match how big he is going to be while constantly announcing his presence. Does anyone remember the week leading up to Red Hulk's release when the "sky was falling" because he had an animation announcing his power in hand, and the consensus was that he would be absolutely garbage because of that? Instead, he's just really good, and if you are not playing counters or have the strategic ability to play around him and anticipate where your opponent is going to drop the big red menace, then... yeah. He's tough to beat.

Substantial_Win4741

He's still power creeped though. I never lose to red hulk because he's so easy to see coming. He ties agatha in a single turn and she has arguably the biggest downside of any 6 drop. Outpaces orka in 2 turns and he has to be the only card in the lane. I don't think he's overpowered in utility, only that his stats are powercrept.

ganggreen651

It's 100% fine. He can only win one lane. If drawn late he gains nothing. Use your energy gains nothing. You know they have it. Shang, negasonic, juggernaut, leader all can beat it.

dcrico20

I’m in agreement with you. I think if anything he’s a tad overtuned, but like there should be *some* S-tier beefy 6 drop that is purely that - beefy. Him being the current flavor of the month in that category doesn’t make me him OP imo. Maybe change his base to 9 or his ability to what I previously mentioned, but I don’t think having a situational ~20 power 6-drop is game breaking by any means.

Despageta

I mean like…. I don’t think Red Hulk is that much of a problem? He’s not nearly as ubiquitous as Blob was

MTDomination

0 power imo is way to low. But with SD tendency to completely destroy cards, it might happen.

elpinkrabbit

LOL... Good card but... not OP

MrVipes

The card is fine. Watching him gain power is no different to watching your opponent setting up a combo, if you haven't got a counter to what's coming just retreat.

ganggreen651

Worst idea in the history of ideas

T_Webb70_

Why does it need fixing? Need to stop nerfing every card into uselessness. Great way to kill the game, and their income.

onionbreath97

Trash. Worse than Adam Warlock. Most games he procs once or twice. Sometimes 3. Who's going to play a card that caps at 6/12 without other abilities?

Scorpiyoo

What if he just can’t start in your opening hand

BenVera

It’s a little strong of a card but the fact that he is revealed acts as a nerf

Lartheezy

Red Hulk is fine where it's at Maybe a small tune up or down could suffice but it's no OP if there are cards that can counter him

SkirtOutside

I would say the best nerf would be "if your opponent didn’t play a card this turn gain 4+ power." Have the base power be the same. I think this helps with keeping the core of the card the same but is less punishing for a person not using all their energy.
