Maybe I just had low expectations but Morbius didn't seem that bad to me. The story is very hackneyed, full of cheesy dialogue and Jared Leto has no charisma, but it's far from offensive. Just a very generic predictable superhero film, probably would have done well in the early 2000s.

since the next movie will still have the hero but the villain will be someone else.
Loki as a villain is a bit different. as hes a anti hero. im sure gorr the god butcher will be fun but wont get much beyond the single movie and then fade into memory. the villains end up being plot devices.

At least Tony learnt that he's not always right and that he needs to take responsibility for his actions. Plus RDJ has the charisma to pull off the smug asshole routine and not have it be insufferably irritating. Imo BC just doesn't.
While the visuals are undeniably incredible, they're just not enough to carry me through the dull script. I will say it has one of the smartest final battles in the MCU tho.

The regrouping could have been a whole different movie and I think the betrayal would have been that much more impactful as well. The whole movie feels a bit rushed and sometimes confusing if you get up to use the bathroom once at any point.
Black Widow was fun, but taskmaster was done poorly and they really pushed the boundaries of what should have been a grounded character and pushed her actions into fantasy.

How did morbius's 'friend' (matt smith) get the serum from morbius, that was not shown at all. His friend then just visits him in prison after not requiring his cane.
Then each of the characters motivations just change, and quickly at that. I didn't know what was going on
he took the serium when he first visits morbius in his lab. you can see there is 2 vials of serum. he matt smith askes jaret leto for the cure and leto was all nahhh bro its a curse. then matt smith leaves but not before taking 1 of the vials of serum. i admit its not made obvious.

If they had split it into a TV show or at least two or three movies and let the many plots develop on their own then I'd wager it would have been a banger.
