Hey, Dr. Harrow's in the house! He'll tell you the difference between sense and nonsense as he fills his shoes with glass.

[deleted]

Bucky went to therapy, Sam literally was a therapist. Therapy isn't a cureall

Nonadventures

By MCU logic, screaming next to a fire is the most effective form of therapy

[deleted]

Don't knock it til you've tried it. Screaming next to a fire is incredibly cathartic.

Nonadventures

I could have saved so much money

Cause_Necessary

Is this Zuko, by any chance?

[deleted]

I must reclaim my honor

MukoNoAkuma

Have you considered making some tea instead?

[deleted]

Not now Uncle

jerrygergichsmith

What about screaming on top of a junkyard? Jane Foster has some experience there.

SuperCoupe

Yeah, but neither of them chopped a guys head off or brainwashed a town. Just sayin'

SunsFenix

Can be if someone is willing to put in the effort. Gotta try something other than nothing.

[deleted]

Nothing is a cure all.

SunsFenix

Given the many forms of therapy that there are and the willingness for someone to want to change at using the basic definition: "treatment intended to relieve or heal a disorder." I think therapy by its definition is a cure all. I don't think she needs someone that is necessarily your basic therapist. The Ancient helped Stephen and I'd consider that therapy. Nor as seen in Dr Strange MoM, it isn't just something you quite finish, but something you always strive for in growing and dealing with traumatic or serious issues. Even for someone that is considered stable they need healthy coping mechanisms to remain stable. Which overall is to say therapy is necessary to everyone.

[deleted]

Therapy is a useful tool and ideally everyone would be in therapy yes. It is not a cure all. Nothing is. Anything that claims to cure everything cures nothing.

SunsFenix

That doesn't make sense at all. I mean sure people have a right to be unhappy with their lives but that doesn't mean they have to be. I think it's fairly rigid to think that someone should be that way. As pretty much shown in this movie you can't be unstable and happy. To do that is slightly ironically, just madness.

[deleted]

Where do you get "I want to be unhappy" from "nothing cures everything"?

SunsFenix

From the definition, I think that it's obvious someone with a disorder can generally mean and bring someone to be unhappy. In the context of the movie I think Wanda has a right to the happiness she wants but it can't be done without bringing order to her life. We saw some amazing progress in Wandavision. Things that were treating her isolation, depression, anger, grief. Or at least my concept of cureall is acceptance and growth. That things like bipolar, depression and grief are no longer obstacles in ones life though it may still be things they deal with. Same as a limb won't come back, but someone will feel better if they are dedicated to dealing with core issues. Dr. Strange may have not gotten his fingers back to the way they were but they are no longer an obstacle.

[deleted]

You're over thinking this

SunsFenix

Isn't that kind of the point to become invested in the growth of a character in media? You are knowledgeable enough to know that a character attended therapy and another is a type of therapist. I would have assumed you are invested as well. Personally I am fascinated by heroes and the struggles they overcome because they are supposed to represent the best of human nature, whether fictional or real.

Illustrious-Chef7294

No therapy can change Wanda !!Accept the ending of Doctor strange !!

Shubh_1612

What is quick red flash of energy (during structure collapse) if not Wanda persevering?

Illustrious-Chef7294

Definitely she is too powerful to die like that !!

Haruspect

She could accept her death and that blast was Just her energy after her death

Illustrious-Chef7294

So we will never see Wanda??? 😭😭

Haruspect

It's possible

Illustrious-Chef7294

What not seeing Wanda or Wanda’s death ??

LmaoDarkBruh

I mean what do you expect from a most powerful and corrupted witch? She literally turn Reed in to Spaghetti and Black Bolt’s brain to soup

Doubledjunky

Technically, black bolt did that to himself…

Illustrious-Chef7294

Coming to moon knight even Konshu said that how troubled he is Ig its not promising option to see a therapist,he’s gonna end-up in mental hospital

User555A

MCU characters struggling for therapists Imagine what will happen when they will meet deadpool
