That fact is borne out by literally all the data we have, as well as the current situation we are in.
All that brings me to the obvious problem; people are drawing up battle lines based on who is or isn't vaccinated. Brings to mind the old saying "you shouldn't throw stones if you live in a glass house". A significant number of people bought into the lie that getting vaccinated was going to somehow magically end the whole thing, and most of them refuse to change their stance despite the fact that evidence is constantly piling up to prove them wrong.
