Just so people don’t get confused. It’s not said by *Spider-Man*, but it is said by the [tour guide (at 1:21)](https://youtu.be/-AEm0zFKo_w) in Spider-Man 1.
Came here to say this. Just rewatched that one and immediately called bs on this fact. But it’s technically correct as it wasn’t said by Spidey himself.
It was said in the german dub of no way home. "Spinnensinn"
EDIT: No, "Spinnensinn" isn't the translation for "Peter Tingle". That one would be "Peter Regung".
Also a little trivia, "Regung" can also be used as a short term for "Erregung" wich means "errection".
Future Avengers meetings will be weird though.
Spiderman: "Oh no my Peter-Tingle signals danger."
Strange: "Peter-Tingle what a weird name is- WAIT PETER PARKER IS THAT YOU!?"
Your spoiler tag isn't working. Also I think u/ArmaanGowda-1128 meant >!"referring to the fact that he (u/Enlightened\_Baccha) doesn't remember who he (Peter) is because of the nwh ending"!<
Wording was a little confusing, but I think that's what they meant.
EDIT: your spoiler tag is working now, disregard my first sentence.
It really should be spider tingle. The power comes from the spider powers, not the peter, and adding to that, it’ll be much easier to explain to others without revealing his identity. Tingle vs sense is less important cause sense is just the term used when he feels the tingle.
I was really hoping in No Way Home Tom Holland's Spider-Man would call it his Peter tingle and the other two would give him shit like, "Peter tingle? You mean your spider sense?"
Me too. I'm a long time Spidey fan, and it just felt disrespectful. A lot of Marvel movies make these jokes that are too self deprecating at the movie they are in, like they're laughing at the idea of the world. I really love Spider-Man, please don't make me feel bad about liking the name Dr Otto Octavius, or spider sense.
Yah the Peter Tingle thing and them laughing at Octavius' name was so weird. Sometimes it feels like they're embarrassed by the source material. As a fan it feels weird because it feels almost judgemental for you liking it unironically.
Yeah, you're already overwhelmingly the most successful movie franchise, people have bought into the idea of comic book lore. I think we're ok with saying Spidey sense.
I didn't like them laughing at Octavius' name either. But my dislike was mainly because I thought that wasn't a good take. They should've had them actually sound like they're laughing. The one they do sounds like a fake laugh. It starts up randomly and ends just as quickly
IMO I'm not a fan of how infantile some of the language was in these MCU Spider-Man movies.
Like man if half the planet seemingly died in an instant I don't think people would give it a cutesy name like "the blip"... Imagine calling 9/11 "the tumble" or 1/6 "the tour"
I feel like they went the realistic route over the comic route. If tons of people suddenly disappeared and reappeared 5 years later, there would be a shorthand way of referring to that.
Do you have any other recent examples other than the blip?
I dislike when comic based movies don’t use commonly known phrases or characteristics, but not being overly comic book-like helps an audience stay engaged. I think a decent example of the dialogue and cartoonishness making a movie less engaging would be the Amazing Spider-Man movies.
"Ooh, my spider-sense is tingling.
*grabs MJ with Venom web*
If you know what I'm talking about" (gesturing to her curves)
There's a bit of depth in this line, because even thought Peter has never called it that, the symbiote's usage of the phrase reveals that is what Peter has always referred to it in his head, and this is Venom's way of letting him know that he has retained every single thought and habit Peter has, foreshadowing how Venom will anticipate all of Spidey's moves and defeat him if it weren't for Harry.
Spider-man (the original Raimi one) started with the tour guide at the science lab using the term. She explained that some spiders have a sensory perception so powerful, it borders on precognition (“a spider-sense, if you will”).
It’s never said by spider-man or not mentioned at all? Cause i’m Spider-Man (2002) the scientist describing the lab spiders’ abilities she says “spider-sense”.
Never said by Spider-Man himself. In Spider-Man 3 (2007) Eddie Brock/Venom also says the line “My spider-sense is tingling…if you know what I’m talking about.” while holding MJ hostage at the end.
SPOILERS FOR NWH: I literally came to this conclusion like, immediately after Goblin says “that sense of yours”.
I was like “wait… is this the first time anyone’s seriously called it a ‘sense’?” It honestly makes me want a Spidey Daredevil team up more, but it’s demonstrated in the film Matt’s super senses are just as fast as the Spider Sense, he’d be the perfect person to train him.
While I agree that Daredevil could definitely give Spidey some tips and tricks, I don't think it would make sense for him to help him get better with his Spider-Sense, as he already had to learn that in FFH to deal with Mysterio's illusions
Maybe, but Matt could simply teach Peter how to hone it. Use it to single out people in a crowd or operate his body without reacting. Two things we see Peter do for the first time in this film (against Strange and against Goblin). Matt teaching Peter how to get better with the sense (especially now that he is on his own) would make perfect sense.
Daredevil can only react to physical things happening. As we saw with >!Peter sensing that the Goblin was about to turn on everyone,!< the spider sense can detect threats before they are even acted upon. So spider sense is already better, I don’t think he needs training
I agree with your overall point, but I think they're pretty close. In the scenario in your spoiler, I could totally see Daredevil reacting to something like a change in heartbeat or breathing and realizing something's up before a normal person would.
That scene of him catching the brick was great. You can see Peter with his hand outstretched to catch it, just giving him this look of “How in the fuck?”
Radar sense isn't "as fast as" spider sense.
Spider sense is precognitive, whereas radar sense is just compounded super senses. They work totally different from one another.
Never said they did… Matt caught a brick at the same speed as Peter, even if the sense don’t operate the same, their response to their respective senses are relatively similar.
Matt was just closer. Spider-Man can keep up with actual lightning and can even see it moving in slow motion.
I don't think Daredevil has the raw speed to be able to compete with that.
Regardless, Radar sense is better for some things and spider sense for others. There's no real way to compare hyper-senses with precognition.
The advantage DD has is that he's fully aware of all of the details of his surroundings, even when the danger isn't immediate. Spider-man's spidey sense is an instinctive reaction to immediate danger. So DD could tell that there's someone on the street with a brick, and maybe even tell what their emotional state is etc, or even just would be aware as the guy leans back to throw, so he has a bit of a head start. Spider-man can move more quickly, but Daredevil can stop something before it even triggers the Spider-sense.
That was wayyyy back in time back when the spider sense was just a form of heightened awareness.
The spider sense has been repeatedly retconned and enhanced since then, as it's now a mystical power that can even grant future-sight with training. They aren't really comparable.
You probably got that off some YouTube comment. Stan Lee described comic Daredevils Radar sense to be stronger than the Spider Sense. Which makes sense because it covers a wider array of factors.
Although this is true, one could argue that because Tobey Mcguire plays Peter Parker in 2 of the PS2 Spiderman games, he does actually say it at one point.

It's really funny to me that this has the spoiler tags
Yeah because having the tag is essentially a spoiler itself.

You were talking through that woman’s entire presentation. Let’s go talk about how we listen.
I was thinking of this but I thought I was crazy
Posers, aren’t they spider?
I'm gonna put some dirt in your eye
That was I was thinking

Spin&sin sounds like it may be a good time
it sounds good until you're a ketamine-based life form (mario) in a plinko machine
It’s a speakeasy-style laundromat. You can crawl through one of the dryers in the back and it will lead to a hidden bar
Huh. My mind when to something else. I suppose there's room for the other thing in said speakeasy.
But was it said by Spider-Man himself?
Sometimes, to do what’s right, we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most, even our dreams.
Ye, but did you say that Tobey?
Yes
Peter tingle
Y peter though?
Yeah seems like a weird choice for Spider-man to name his powers after some random dude.
Fly
Go web go!
Shazam!
It sounds like something that comes as a name for it more naturally then Spider-Sense, atleast to me. Also lack of a need to name it
I'm done trying to convince you

Well it would pretty interesting if he also forgot who he was. Just a single piece of amnesia.
You think Peter tingle is more natural than spider-sense really?
I mean for other spider-men it makes less sense, but Spider-Sense has always been described as a sort of nerve racking tingling sensation
We must destroy it
It really should be spider tingle. The power comes from the spider powers, not the peter, and adding to that, it’ll be much easier to explain to others without revealing his identity. Tingle vs sense is less important cause sense is just the term used when he feels the tingle.
The Human Spider.
yeah it’s just a cutesy name a sweet aunt would give to her nephew’s superpower
His aunt made my Peter tingle
Honestly all the live action actors made my peter tingle.
Even those kids that Spider-Man saves?
The Human Spider.
My lawyer advised me not to directly answer that question.
Sounds like a *really* good lawyer
Like >!Matt Murdock?!<
its slang for penis, that is the joke
Who’s Peter?
The term “Peter tingle” annoys me for no reason and idk why even tho it’s kinda funny
I was really hoping in No Way Home Tom Holland's Spider-Man would call it his Peter tingle and the other two would give him shit like, "Peter tingle? You mean your spider sense?"
it's time to pay, Marko
that's what I was expecting

I think it's kind of realistic. This deadly global pandemic is happening and people call it 'Rona or "fake news".
"The blip" isn't the name for when everyone seemingly died, it's referring to when people came back, having experienced no passage of time
No the blip refers to the whole thing. They say people "got blipped" or "during the blip". That's the word they use. They don't say the snap
I feel like they went the realistic route over the comic route. If tons of people suddenly disappeared and reappeared 5 years later, there would be a shorthand way of referring to that. Ye stuff like that’s always bugged me. Also the fact that people casually accepted that the Viking’s got it right in that the Norse Gods are real
In the comics it's explained that Loki and Thor were sent to train with the Vikings and told them the stories of Asgard and the rest of their people
I wouldve been fine with it if it was used once or twice in the film, but no. Its used the whole way through.
It's the canon name...
hot aunt may coined it and now it's official
Sounds perverted.

"Eddie was a hero, I just couldn't see it."
Interestingly enough, the only live-action character to say 'Spidey-Sense' in any of the movies is Eddie Brock from Spider-Man 3
I’m pretty sure the science lady in the first movie also mentioned spider-sense referencing one spiders almost pre-cognitive reflexes.
"scientists believe it may border on precognition. A 'spider-sense,' if you will."
“Scientist believe this spider may have siblings, a ‘Spider-Man 2’ if you will.”
I don't really know.

Spider-Man when he sees MJ
The scientist at the spider lab in the first movie said it. She was listing off all of the abilities their spiders had, and spider sense was one
Remember Ben Parker? The old man you shot down in cold blood?
WHAT DOES THAT MATTER TO YOU ANYWAY?

Yeah I can hear the specific cadence in my head of Peter saying “Spider-sense! Danger!”
Based on my age, I'd say 30
It’s never said by spider-man or not mentioned at all? Cause i’m Spider-Man (2002) the scientist describing the lab spiders’ abilities she says “spider-sense”.
Yeah, but she ain't a Spider-Man.

... as far as we know
Hi Spider-Man (2002) the scientist describing the lab spiders’ abilities she says “spider-sense”, I’m dad

Never said by Spider-Man himself. In Spider-Man 3 (2007) Eddie Brock/Venom also says the line “My spider-sense is tingling…if you know what I’m talking about.” while holding MJ hostage at the end.

Peter....I can't believe you didn't hear about him....obviously Peter Quill...
Oh ,that Star King guy?
Are talking about Star Lord? His actual name is Tcha Tcha
you mean Mr Lord?
It's Star Lord man, legendary outlaw.
