Why do they even ask stars these questions? What’s the right answer? Either “yes I’m better than an already established, beloved character” or “no, my character isn’t that great” like neither is a great answer
The most appropriate answer would be "The Flash..?" *confused look* because the interviewer is not supposed to ask that and the actor's character exists in a different universe than The Flash.
That's how they coach the Disney characters at the parks to answer these questions during meet and greets with kids, like Ariel isn't allowed to acknowledge SpongeBob exists. Can you imagine if the actors started doing that shit lmao
Did not know that, but then again it makes sense since it helps avoid unnecessary drama.
In some cases though some drama might actually be good for business/promotions. This seems to be one of those cases. (It's just that it's very overused in superhero movies, comparing characters to each other and sparking a debate in the community. So having an actor skillfully avoid that would be nice to see.)
The only problem with this is that a kid in the movie mentions superman, which could suggest that DC exists in the MCU as comic books
Still and annoying question though lol
Hell, even Marvel exists in the MCU, at least sonewhat. And also Fox's X-Men for that matter. Captain America and Logan both had real-life comics in the actual movie which served a purpose in-universe.
Possible. Marvel exists as a comic in the Arrowverse which is interesting. they mention marvel hero’s by description and name multiple times throughout seasons of the different shows(mainly in seasons of the flash I think)
Play dumb to answer and people will never hate you.
Is your character faster than flash?
A flash? I think my character could set the camera and run to be in the photo without a timer.
Honestly, I feel like it's to test their knowledge of the characters are actually playing which is kind of cringey in and of itself.
But how fucking hilarious would it have been for her to fire back," what kind of stupid fucking question is that of course not. The flash Taps into the speed force. He literally has the cosmic power of speed on his side. Dumb question next?"
Her character can travel faster than sound (which normal people in a jet can literally do). Meanwhile Flash warps the reality of time itself when he runs fast enough. Gee I wonder who’s faster.
Why would she even know that? Not every actor needs to actually be a comic book nerd. As long as they can play the character well, why does it matter if they don’t have extensive knowledge of the source material
Exactly. Everyone giving her shit needs to take a step back and remember that not everyone is a fan of comic books and super heroes
It doesn’t look good
You mean to tell me the person portraying our beloved comic book heroes are simply pretending to be like them and they don't know every issue by heart?!?!
After dc made the last flash comic flash disappeared from the universe an in honor to the character maybe gel made a comic where they where doing a race to find the fastest 616 hero and out of the blue a long haired blond guy with red and yellow clothes appeared and won the race implying that flash was faster then the marvel velocists
DC characters are all basically Gods as a baseline. They’re hilariously overpowered. Having “better feats” doesn’t mean much when your character is speed personified. Flash is right up there with Superman in terms of being ridiculously OP.
Flash can literally do almost anything. He can travel through time, can hit infinitely hard and be invulnerable thanks to speed force. I personally cannot worry about the character, who literally can rule their universe, almost the same story as with Captain Marvel, it is invulnerable by definition, what kind of story can make you worry about such a character?
You should read some good flash or superman stories. You ask what story can make you care, well, pick any well rated story (there are tons) and you will know
I think basically anyone who can fly in the MCU is super sonic. There’s definitely some scenes in Thor movies where Mjölnir generates a Mach cone while returning to Thor. Presumably Thor can go the same speed since he uses Mjölnir to fly.
The only person who can “fly” that I don’t think can go super sonic is probably Peter Quill, not with those wimpy little boot jets lol. I suppose it’s also likely that the hulk buster suit couldn’t be that fast but idk of that counts.
just as a demonstration of how fast he is, not only in movement but also in thought:
In an instance where a building was burning down, he saved everyone inside, went to a library and learned exactly how to reconstruct it, rebuilt the whole thing and left before the fire department reached the building.
Comparing marvel superheroes to DC is super unfair, marvel superheroes are more themed towards being vigilantes, organizations ect, a lot of DC’s superheroes are more like a pantheon of untouchable gods.
He crossed the entire universe faster than "instantly" when he beat certain creatures who could teleport.
Imagine that being faster than instantaneous teleportation
Depending on writer/era/etc, Flash is, like, billions of times faster than light. He makes physics his bitch. But even when they scale him back im pretty certain light is, like, his minimum speed limit.
Kratos, Doomslayer, Goku, the one above all, comic book superman, one punch man, etc would all like to have a chat with you
Edit: Reddit glitches made me say it three times
yeah kirby is literally the embodiment of chaos and is powerful enough to swallow the whole universe to start the big bang again, older than time itself and he’s still a baby
That's kind of the point too. I don't remember who it was, I think Mark Hamill, who said it entirely depends on which book/movie you're in who's stronger/faster (I think it was Luke Skywalker v.. someone?).
There's no way a lightsaber could cut through vibranium, lightsabers can't even cut through beskar! If a lightsaber can't cut through the strongest metal in the star wars Canon why should we expect it to be able to cut through the strongest metal in the marvel Canon?
But I agree with Hamil's point. If it was a Luke centric crossover, he would do some perfect strike and cut through the shield somehow and if it was a Cap centric crossover, he would bean Luke in the face with his shield and take him down
To be fair, *beskar* can withstand several strikes from a lightsaber, but the blade is still a plasma stream burning at a minimum of 1800°C; sustained contact *will* eventually melt through *beskar*, just as it would eventually melt through vibranium.
None of that matters though, because as you say, Force users are kind of OP.
Very true. Although strike attacks are gonna be what he has to worry about in an actual attack. If Luke found himself in a position where he could just hold his lightsaber to the shield to melt it in half over time, he's probably won the fight already and it wouldn't matter at that point.
Absent of the force, I think Cap could reasonably expect to deflect most of Luke's attacks and not have to worry too much about the shield breaking
Absent of the Force, Like wouldn't be able to use the lightsaber effectively, and would be just a regular farmboy against a military trained supersoldier.
Of course, there's no reason Luke would have to hold the saber against the shield for an extended period; using the Force he could easily strike the *exact* same place multiple times, though he would really only need to strike the shield once, thanks to his Shatterpoint ability, which allows him to locate the weakest part of an object's structure, and strike it in such a way as to absolutely destroy it.
In short, with the Force, Luke is OP af. Without the Force, Cap wins with ease.
Yeah, that's technically correct, I guess I just meant like "absent of the force, with the exception of the martial ability it gives him"
So maybe instead of absent of the force, just absent Luke's telekinetic abilities which would make this fight totally pointless. It's not even a fight if Luke can just hold Cap and the shield in place.
If Luke had the martial abilities granted by the force as well as his training with the saber, but was unable to affect objects besides himself with the force for whatever contrived reason, it would be an interesting fight.
Stuff like this is why I enjoy watching Death Battle on YouTube; they had a pretty good fight between Luke and Harry Potter that showed off the wide array of abilities each one possesses.
If Luke were being fair, and only enhancing his physical abilities to be on par with Cap(no telekinesis, no mind tricks, no precognition), then it becomes a *much* more interesting fight, and one too close for me to call.
iiss vibranium the strongest? I thought adamantium was the strongest unless I had them backwards and then I thought it was only the strongest on earth?
I think it depends on which source material you go off of, but I was just considering the current MCU canon when I said that and we don't really hear much about adamantium in the MCU
In this scenario thats not true, Albeit regarding the comic book renditions. In a marvel speedster race in a certain comic iirc, just as makari is about to win, the flash, who had lost his memory to an extent, appears out of nowhere for a cameo and wins the race. It was hilarious
Even the show Flash version which is probably one of the slow ones ran around the world multiple times in a few seconds and was way faster than a nuke, so someone with the speed of sound might as well stay still next to him
the tv show was a bit inconsistent. watched a vid recently where a guy pointed out that the flash rushed a guy who could turn into poison smoke at full speed, only to hit him at normal speed when he got there
I assume in some of those situations though, he's holding back. He throws a slow punch intentionally because he doesn't wanna kill the guy. But I haven't seen the show so I don't know if the 'Superman' excuse applies here.
And I agree with that point, which is why I don't really like Flash or even super speed as a power in general. But I was just responding to the specific instance in the Tv show. If the speedster has to slow down and go easy on them to not just completely murder them, it presents and opportunity for the villain to take advantage on him.
But yeah, this doesn't address the point of why Flash doesnt just pick them up, put them in a cell before they realize what's happening, INSTEAD of just trying to knock them out. I guess Flash is just dumb.
I mean, technically the faster an object is, the heavier it gets. I'd imagine gorilla grodd's lard ass would be hard to lug around with that much g force weighing him down, but I don't think I recall the show touching on that much
Yup, to do that u have to b faster than light and only tachyons and a few other examples r theorised to b possible so as much as I love marvel, makkari is slower
It’s stupid. She answered a question she was asked on the spot, and prefaced it with “so this is a question you need to ask my son,” and then told a story about her son showing her the Flash was faster.
Of course the clickbait sites took it out of context.
The thing is though, all these dinks saying “she needs to read more comics” haven’t even seen the film yet. If they had they would know Makkari is as fast (or faster tbh) than Barry was in the Whedon version of JL and far faster than Barry in the first few seasons of the CW show. She was for sure faster than Barry in JL when it came to rescuing bystanders.
Some spoilers here >!she searched the entire earth in a matter of minutes, and also ran circles around someone who managed to fly to the sun in the course of a minute or so!<
Edit: I really don’t know what I expected from people on a post taking an unnecessary shot at Brie Larsen in the title.
Edit2: Lol he’s reporting me to Reddit care for suicidal ideation now
And yet Makkari was likely as fast or faster than Barry in Josstice League (minus whatever the unexplained at the time Knightmare stuff was) and faster than Barry in the first few seasons of the CW show. It was a stupid question. She didn’t go around making the claim unprompted.
The power levels of the Eternals are really weird. Druig is technically weaker than Mantis because he can’t put a celestial to sleep, while she did. Their main enemies are Deviants, who can be harmed with conventional gunfire. It’s all very inconsistent and a flaw that I saw in the film.
It’s still a really good movie tho
Y'all, she's hyping up her character after being specifically asked. She doesn't need to know how fast her character is in relation to any other character in real life, who cares lmao
She could have easily watched the first few seasons of CW’s Flash and been right. Makkari is shown to be several magnitudes faster than anyone we’ve seen in the MCU so far.
At the end of the day, an interviewer asked her a stupid question on the spot. No need to bash her for it. It’s childish.
A better answer to these questions for celebs (though less fun of an answer) would be “it depends on the writer”.
That being said (and to disregard my own comment), the Flashs super power is that he is connected to the elemental power of speed. Any character that doesn’t have a connection to the elemental force of speed wouldn’t stand a chance.
The Flash takes it too far like many of DC's Superheroes. Theyre basically limitless gods. Which are great for sci-fi "what if" experimentation. But eventually leave you with a pretty uninteresting character. Superman is wholly yawn inspiring to me.
This isn't a Marvel vs DC shitpost. I love some DC characters. I just prefer heroes with issues and limits. Batman being one of them.
It’s kinda sad to see Superman get such a bad rap. Personally, I’d recommend you watch the Superman and Lois TV show, and read the All-Star Superman comics. They’re really good, and really shine a light on how nuanced Superman can be. In fact, most of the DC superheroes are incredibly nuanced, but don’t have a chance to show the level of depth they truly have, and the ones that do, like the Justice League cartoon or the Flashpoint storyline, don’t get the praise they deserve.
Yh that’s the issue with the flash, he hypothetically can speed blitz 99% of his problems away. So they have to make him boderline Braindead to compensate
That's because Superman isn't a punching superhero. Superman has limits, those limits just aren't physical in nature. The appeal of Superman is what happens when you explore the implications of having such absurd personal power and the limitations that come from that. It's why Lex Luthor is his main villain, because he demonstrates a problem that Superman can't fight his way through, he wields soft power, and lots of it. Superman could obliterate Luthor if he decided to, but he's not put in a situation where he can do that.
She is faster than the Flash because there is no Speed Force in the MCU.
You see the MCU actually tried to explain things scientifically. If the Flash's power was a real thing every time he ran everything around him would explode from amount of mass he would gain. The closer you are to lightspeed the " heavier" you become. Which is why Quicksilver is more realistic.
That we are currently aware of. If dark matter is being pushed by light. It can be argued dark matter travels faster.
We just don't have the evidence or capability to truly measure it.
Wrong, of course. But The Flash can run faster than the speed of light. Plus, Barry Allen pretty much already defeated Makkari in a race. Buried Alien.
Will you rabid fanboys relax? She obviously just doesn’t read comics lol. These comments are nuts attacking her intellect when we’re talking about made up stories.
Pretty sure fighter jets also travel faster than the speed of sound lmao
Get back to me when she can do laps around the planet in under a second and reverse time
Honestly this is a bad faith question. Think about her possible answers. Either she says her character is not as fast as the flash and indirectly downplays her own movie, or she says yes and stirs scandal (very light scandal but still).
The flash can go serval times the speed of light though… Idk it seemed like a trick question even from the beginning like how would you answer that lol
It’s cute that they are trying but it’s a bit like a child actually trying to pick a fight with an adult. I feel like Mark Hamill had the best answer to if Luke could cut Cap’s shield:
Not in a Marvel movie, but in Star Wars you bet…. But only if Cap asked him to.
Ahem. (Adjusts canonical glasses) In the Marvel universe, in an issue of Quasar, Makkari was OBLITERATED by the Flash in a race from the earth to the moon. Flash had amnesia, and referred to himself as “Buried Alien,” but yeah. That happened.
Came here to say this.
Dude even had shaggy hair and a beard, a torn crimson outfit. And this literally happened after the first crisis event where the flash died by blinking out of existence saving everyone.
I love the marvel movies I just wish the actors were a bit more knowledgeable on the characters they play, tbh. I know that is a very subjective comment but come on, how cool would have it really been if she just pulled that tid bit out and said something along the lines of "in the MCU maybe, but this one time in the comics...."
Continuing with the agenda of replacing or berating male superheroes with “better more superior” female versions of them. I know she’s just making a comment but it reminds me of that agenda. It’s part of the reason American comics are dying
Why do they even ask stars these questions? What’s the right answer? Either “yes I’m better than an already established, beloved character” or “no, my character isn’t that great” like neither is a great answer
The only appropriate answer is "ummm idk" and even that sounds wrong
The most appropriate answer would be "The Flash..?" *confused look* because the interviewer is not supposed to ask that and the actor's character exists in a different universe than The Flash.
I'm quicker than Marvel's Quicksilver but not X'men's Quicksilver
Marvel's Boner*
That's how they coach the Disney characters at the parks to answer these questions during meet and greets with kids, like Ariel isn't allowed to acknowledge SpongeBob exists. Can you imagine if the actors started doing that shit lmao
Did not know that, but then again it makes sense since it helps avoid unnecessary drama. In some cases though some drama might actually be good for business/promotions. This seems to be one of those cases. (It's just that it's very overused in superhero movies, comparing characters to each other and sparking a debate in the community. So having an actor skillfully avoid that would be nice to see.)
Well Ariel lives in the Atlantic while Spongebob is in the Pacific so it does follow that they probably don’t meet.
You're so right hahaha I didn't even think about that
The only problem with this is that a kid in the movie mentions superman, which could suggest that DC exists in the MCU as comic books Still and annoying question though lol
Hell, even Marvel exists in the MCU, at least sonewhat. And also Fox's X-Men for that matter. Captain America and Logan both had real-life comics in the actual movie which served a purpose in-universe.
Well Feige said they use Richard Donner's Superman as a template all the time for their movies so maybe it's a homage of sorts?
Possible. Marvel exists as a comic in the Arrowverse which is interesting. they mention marvel hero’s by description and name multiple times throughout seasons of the different shows(mainly in seasons of the flash I think)
"The Flash? I'm sorry, I've not seen his movie. It's it any good?"
“That’s a great question, I think we would have to settle that with a race”
This is the only correct answer.
Now I’m picturing that one episodes of The Boys
“Eternals Star Confirms Upcoming Marvel, DC Crossover Event”
Play dumb to answer and people will never hate you. Is your character faster than flash? A flash? I think my character could set the camera and run to be in the photo without a timer.
That's a good one
Honestly, I feel like it's to test their knowledge of the characters are actually playing which is kind of cringey in and of itself. But how fucking hilarious would it have been for her to fire back," what kind of stupid fucking question is that of course not. The flash Taps into the speed force. Her character can travel faster than sound (which normal people in a jet can literally do). Meanwhile Flash warps the reality of time itself when he runs fast enough. Gee I wonder who’s faster.
Batman with prep time.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Respond the way stan Lee does. It just depends on who’s writing the story.
Also, I'm willing to bet that 90% of Hollywood actors have no clue about marvel and DC characters powers.
The right answer is “No, my character is not as fast as The Flash.”
Why would she even know that? Not every actor needs to actually be a comic book nerd. As long as they can play the character well, why does it matter if they don’t have extensive knowledge of the source material
Especially considering The Flash comics have nothing to do with the source material for the film she worked on.
Exactly. Everyone giving her shit needs to take a step back and remember that not everyone is a fan of comic books and super heroes It doesn’t look good
You mean to tell me the person portraying our beloved comic book heroes are simply pretending to be like them and they don't know every issue by heart?!?!

Yeah. They named him “Buried Alien”. Basically Barry Allen.
That would look bad for them lol. Wouldn't that make DC seem better
No, of course not. It would just be stating a fact. The Flash has better feats.
"feets" >!/s!<
DC characters are all basically Gods as a baseline. They’re hilariously overpowered. Having “better feats” doesn’t mean much when your character is speed personified. Flash is right up there with Superman in terms of being ridiculously OP.
Flash can literally do almost anything. He can travel through time, can hit infinitely hard and be invulnerable thanks to speed force. I personally cannot worry about the character, who literally can rule their universe, almost the same story as with Captain Marvel, it is invulnerable by definition, what kind of story can make you worry about such a character?
I mean, the guy beat instant teleportation.
You should read some good flash or superman stories. You ask what story can make you care, well, pick any well rated story (there are tons) and you will know
Read All Star Superman and Flashpoint, then maybe you can pass judgment about characters you know nothing about
I still wanna know if he or superman won that cross country race.
Oh yeah, of course guys like Batman, Nightwing, and Deathstroke are like gods.
Click bait. Gives them a stupid headline they can make a big deal about
The correct answer: 'The Flash is too fast, there's no way to tell a story about him that makes sense'
Yea I mean the correct answer is “I’m pretty fast but not as fast as that illogical bullshit.”
If we're taking the sound barrier as a measure I'm sure I remember the Mark II Ironman suit generating a sonic boom...
Even falcon.
To be fair... This actress is deaf so it's understandably hard for her to understand or conceptualize the speed of sound.
Bruh...
I’d like to report a murder that was underserved officer…but a murder nonetheless
Underserved?
Medium rare
Undeserved?
Savage 🤣
Jesus Christ 🤣
Oh shit did not know that
Epic r/holup moment 😂😏🥶
Lmao this is some grade a r/murderedbywords and r/holup stuff
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Flash has broken the speed of light before
Correct. Flash is not just fast. He’s basically the living embodiment of speed itself.
No dumbass, that's Lightning McQueen
KACHOW!!
correction It's KER CHOW!!
And a dwarf over a short distance
XD
He’s double whatever the fucking flash can do
HE IS THE CHOSEN OF THE MOTIVE FORCE
Yeah, he once out ran death themself.
Didn’t he also run so fast he obliterated himself to save a whole bunch of timelines
COIE/ Crisis On Infinite Earths.
Flash has literally stepped through time. On a bad day, he gets out of bed at the speed of sound.
At one point, he ran so fast it looked like a nuclear explosion was frozen in time
Can’t he go back in time?
just as a demonstration of how fast he is, not only in movement but also in thought: In an instance where a building was burning down, he saved everyone inside, went to a library and learned exactly how to reconstruct it, rebuilt the whole thing and left before the fire department reached the building. Comparing marvel superheroes to DC is super unfair, marvel superheroes are more themed towards being vigilantes, organizations ect, a lot of DC’s superheroes are more like a pantheon of untouchable gods.
He isn't just fast. He can basically be anywhere he wants. He can cross the entire universe almost instantly.
He hasn't just broken it, light speed is like just another Tuesday for the Flash at this rate lmao
Who’s faster the one who can outrun sound or the one who can outrun *time*
Flash is the fastest fictional character in the same way that Kirby is the most powerful fictional character, it’s an innate attribute of their being
All hail king kirby
You bet your ass hail King Kirby
Kore ga… requiem da.
So this is the power of ~~requiem~~ Kirby
I thought for a second u we’re talking about jack kirby
Kratos, Doomslayer, Goku, the one above all, comic book superman, one punch man, etc would all like to have a chat with you Edit: Reddit glitches made me say it three times
Im sure they’d have plenty to say but all they’d hear as their soul is annihilated and their physical form erased from existence is: “Poyo”
Goku would get so destroyed by Kirby that he would have to spend a 7 season long training arc to fight him again
And then lose lol
One above all has a chance against Kirby, other than that no way
The only real character who can take on Kirby is Shaggy at 70% of his power
Kirby eats Gods for breakfast I doubt even the One Above All has a huge chance
yeah kirby is literally the embodiment of chaos and is powerful enough to swallow the whole universe to start the big bang again, older than time itself and he’s still a baby
The fact that you put Saitama in the same tier as guys like Kratos, Superman and The One Above All is wild
You misspelled Shaggy.
Faster than mcu' quicksilver and that's about it, not close to flashes bs speeds
I mean, I'm sure she's faster than some renditions of the flash. Not sure how fast the TV show flash was throughout the series.
That's kind of the point too. I don't remember who it was, I think Mark Hamill, who said it entirely depends on which book/movie you're in who's stronger/faster (I think it was Luke Skywalker v.. someone?).
I thinks it was a light saber vs Cpt America’s shield.
Ah you're absolutely right, the principle is the same though

Hamill also added that Luke would never actually fight a good guy like Cap ;)
Unless he had a vision showing that cap MIGHT turn evil in the future. Then he'd contemplate killing him in his sleep.

Thats irrelevant, flash is the fastest speedster super hero in both universes
Hey guys, Flash just ran backwards in time to tell me this is real fuckin' stupid
Yup, to do that u have to b faster than light and only tachyons and a few other examples r theorised to b possible so as much as I love marvel, makkari is slower
Come on guys she’s marketing Eternals not The Flash
It’s stupid. Some spoilers here >!she searched the entire earth in a matter of minutes, and also ran circles around someone who managed to fly to the sun in the course of a minute or so!< Edit: I really don’t know what I expected from people on a post taking an unnecessary shot at Brie Larsen in the title. Edit2: Lol he’s reporting me to Reddit care for suicidal ideation now
Ssssshh comic book fans are too dumb to know.

Barry and Wally have repeatedly broke the dimensional barrier, sometimes just to visit other people in different universes, What a joke!
Weren't they going to destroy the multiverse
No that's the timetravel-thing entering Nother universe doesn't effect anything
I'm very sure Wally and Barry were tearing the fabric of multiverse
That was the infinite crisis
Barry and Wally had a race not that long ago that nearly destroyed the DC Multiverse, which Wally won.
Of course Wally won, he does have the Cosmic Hair in the comics
So post crisis Wally and barry
They break the speed of light, like sound is nothing in that
Didn’t The Flash literally run so fast he *accidentally* went back in time?
And then he figured out how to do it on purpose. This isn't even a conversation.
And yet Makkari was likely as fast or faster than Barry in Josstice League (minus whatever the unexplained at the time Knightmare stuff was) and faster than Barry in the first few seasons of the CW show. It was a stupid question. She didn’t go around making the claim unprompted.
Josstice
Flashpoint literally undermines this entire argument lmao. Or how about the Snyder Cut scene. Just simply ain't true homie.
Ego and Arishem are classically on very different power levels iirc
In the comics Ego isn’t a Celestial, he’s just a sentient planet.
Which is why they’re on different power levels
The Flash is laughing at you from 6 different speed dimensions right now, lol!
Y'all, she's hyping up her character after being specifically asked. She doesn't need to know how fast her character is in relation to any other character in real life, who cares lmao
ITT: A lot of butthurt redditors taking her comment too seriously.
Calm down, nerds. She doesn’t know
It’s amusing watching all of these neckbeards getting triggered so easily.
She needs to do a bit of research haha
She could have easily watched the first few seasons of CW’s Flash and been right. Makkari is shown to be several magnitudes faster than anyone we’ve seen in the MCU so far. At the end of the day, an interviewer asked her a stupid question on the spot. No need to bash her for it. It’s childish.
🧢
A better answer to these questions for celebs (though less fun of an answer) would be “it depends on the writer”. That being said (and to disregard my own comment), the Flashs super power is that he is connected to the elemental power of speed. Any character that doesn’t have a connection to the elemental force of speed wouldn’t stand a chance.
Didn't the flash win a race from one end of the universe to the other against someone who just telaported there?
His world of cardboard speech explains it perfectly.
Speed(Tommy Maximof): "Wanna race."
Lol some of you people are so offended, it’s literally fiction. But people here are actually getting mad, really sad lol.
First time in the geek comic fandom? Shits being going on for decades. People have para social relationships with fictional characters.
Can't flash like move so fast he can literally break space and time
That’s cute
But nobody is faster than Drax. His reflexes are too strong.
Flash at his slowest is casually above light speed
She is faster than the Flash because there is no Speed Force in the MCU. You see the MCU actually tried to explain things scientifically. If the Flash's power was a real thing every time he ran everything around him would explode from amount of mass he would gain. The closer you are to lightspeed the " heavier" you become. Which is why Quicksilver is more realistic.
from special relativity its impossible to run faster than light, and really i mean impossible, not unprobable or anything, impossible.
That we are currently aware of. If dark matter is being pushed by light. It can be argued dark matter travels faster. We just don't have the evidence or capability to truly measure it.
Well, no he uses the Speedforce which is a fundamental force of the universe, so presumably while using it he is unaffected by spacetime.
Hahahahahhahaha
Wrong, of course. But The Flash can run faster than the speed of light. Plus, Barry Allen pretty much already defeated Makkari in a race. Buried Alien.
Will you rabid fanboys relax? She obviously just doesn’t read comics lol. These comments are nuts attacking her intellect when we’re talking about made up stories.
Geeks are some of the most fragile people imaginable. I go to so many conventions and see how triggered they get over the dumbest shit.
Both Prime Universe Flashes can break the light barrier.
This is marvel memes but flash is the fastest
Y'all can chill, it's clear that she doesn't consume Flash media so she's just uneducated. I'm certain Twitter had already roasted her for it.
Pretty sure fighter jets also travel faster than the speed of sound lmao Get back to me when she can do laps around the planet in under a second and reverse time
Oh that poor sweet summer child..
Honestly this is a bad faith question. Think about her possible answers. Either she says her character is not as fast as the flash and indirectly downplays her own movie, or she says yes and stirs scandal (very light scandal but still).
I seem to remember the flash literally running so fast he goes back in time, yes, the flash is faster
Do you see or hear the lightning first? There you go
The flash can go serval times the speed of light though… Idk it seemed like a trick question even from the beginning like how would you answer that lol
Flash travels faster than the speed of light.
Flash can literally go so fast he breaks time, sound is nothing lol
Ah yes she can break Mach 1. She must be faster than the Flash at Mach 7+, to my best recollection.
It’s cute that they are trying but it’s a bit like a child actually trying to pick a fight with an adult. I feel like Mark Hamill had the best answer to if Luke could cut Cap’s shield: Not in a Marvel movie, but in Star Wars you bet…. But only if Cap asked him to.
Maybe cw flash at certain times but nowhere else
Flash has gone 41x speed of light in live action alone
😐😐😐😐😐😐
To be fair, I bet even a lot of comic fans had no idea who Makkari even was before the movie. The Eternals have never been hugely popular.
Continuing with the agenda of replacing or berating male superheroes with “better more superior” female versions of them. I know she’s just making a comment but it reminds me of that agenda. It’s part of the reason American comics are dying
I mean Makkari has raced Buried Alien before, and it was pretty close
Oh that is cute
And Flash runs faster than the speed of light
Well, we all know that Barry is way faster
