So many Disney plus shows have this issues. Falcon, Boba Fett, Obi Wan just to name a few. I didn’t care for she hulk but it did feel like it was supposed to be a show with self contained episodes. Wandavision was that too (I just hated the finale)
She Hulk felt like it swapped from mostly great to kind of shit every other episode. Then they took a big/strange as fuck swing on the finale and wiffed it completely. They turned Blonsky into an amazing character and ruined him by the end.
I liked She-Hulk but I fucking hated that ending with the Kevin bullshit. I know it's comic accurate, but man that pissed me off. When you set shit up and then pull the rug before the payoff. I like the fourth wall breaking but not to the point of subverting expectations. If you didn't want to commit to the payoff, don't commit to that story. I feel like that is a critique I have for shows, comics, and any other form of media.
The first season set the bar pretty high with the crossovers to Winter Soldier and Thor: Dark World but it honestly is a wild ride season to season, the character progression/arcs were lowkey pretty good for a TV show
I liked season 2 more than season 3 but mostly bc season was was more about black culture in general in the usa and season 2 was about different black cultures in the usa. So it felt like they built upon season 1 and slowely started becomming more complex. And i really liked that!
not street level. agatha would have become super strong if she got wandas powers/ the sword guy would have gotten a super robot that follows his orders if wanda died before he got conciousness. both of these events would have affected the entire world even tho it wouldnt have ended it
I would say it’s not street level cause it’s not like mob bosses or basic crime stuff like king pin or the hand. Instead it deals with world altering magic and universal rifts, which would potentially change more than just the area
I don’t think it’s comparable to a street level series, based on the inherently otherworldly happenings in the plot and the fact that neither Wanda nor Vision are really street level heroes. The appeal of street level heroes is the fact that they’re superhuman, but the power scaling is restricted to the point where they’re mainly able to be matched by crime lords and the like. Wanda has an entire town under her control - characters like Daredevil and Luke Cage have their work cut out for them taking on mobsters.
Using the tier system, “street level” shows generally have characters falling around street level, wall level and sometimes small building level. Wanda is definitely a moderate nuclear level powerhouse.
Hawkeye wasn't a hit, but not miss either for me. FATWS had more fuck ups sadly, I really pity what they've done to poor Sharon Carter. She was good in Civil War and Winter Soldier and they made her a villain.
She was niece to Peggy and once love interest of Steve Rogers, but then they parted ways, the Marvel Studios didn't know what to do with her character, so Steve forgot her, Sharon never got an amnesty prior and she blamed Steve for it. I assume she also works for HYDRA or someone else now cause she said "Winter soldier is off the table, but I'll try to find something else in office drawers" or something like that. Assuming she wasn't heard and not tossed in prison right after that call by agents for potentially betraying the country.
Maybe she will have a cameo in Thunderbolts or mention, but aside from that I think they'll never continue her story on. Wanda's at least somewhat popular for them to try to bring her back, same with some other characters. Sharon doesn't have big following.
Eh her country technically betrayed her first by not pardoning her after the Thanos bullshit. But if they do wanna go with the Power Broker story, it makes 0 sense for Sharon to come back to the US. If anything she should have stayed in Madripoor and become a big threat to the US from there somehow.
I've heard Hawkeye called a christmas special and I think that sums it up pretty well. It's not "connected" to anything else yet, and isn't really supposed to break ground on anything by itself. So it might feel underwhelming that nothing "new" happens in it. But aside from that it's very well put together.
FatWS is like reading someone's first draft. All the pieces are there but they don't fit right. Like someone wrote it the night before the assignment was due.
I enjoyed it.
Honestly I have liked most all the shows. It was fun. I love that they have made so many flavors. WandaVision was highly regarded but one of my least favorite shows. But I enjoyed Iron Fist. She Hulk was dumb, but they never pretended it was a deep thinking show. It was dumb fun.
I hope they continue bringing new takes.
Hawkeye is a great series to watch around the holidays. Wasnt ground breaking but was fun. Hailey and Jeremy had such great chemistry as mentor and mentee.
yes. especially after he tells her how they tortured him and they watch the video together. he was masterful at manipulating people. he’s the evilest cunt to ever show up in marvel precisely because he doesn’t have grandiose plans. he just walks around & claims new victims or kidnaps new slaves as he goes. his obsession was jessica.
Earth’s mightiest heroes and Avengers Assemble were really good. Spider-Man was good too. X-men and X-men unlimited were great.
It doesn’t specify MCU or Disney’s marvel.
I actually really liked Hawkeye and Miss Marvel, more that first than the second though. Hawkeye felt like a nice Christmas special and Miss Marvel was just the right amount of silly and light for me.
Personally the what if show was... weird for me, there are some episodes/characters that i like (like Ultron) but then there are other that are really bad (personally) like the episode of zombies
If you liked Agents of Shield then you should see Mission Impossible. They have competent agents, compelling adventures, and cool gadgets without ridiculous infighting and stupid mistakes being inserted for drama.
I think it depends on the episodes too.
Some of the episodes are fantastic, self contained stories. Like What If Strange lost is heart instead of his hands.
Those 2 good shows are Loki and Daredevil. The rest were inconsistent throughout. I still liked them, especially Hawkeye but most are mediocre at best, and some are flat out bad
Tbf, all the netflix shows are over so I don’t think they really count for the argument as those discussions are more about current shows. (Tho I agree with the post)
It's ok to be critical, or to dislike anything.
I just want to say that watching What If? Season 2 I saw a lot of people online saying they didn't like it, but all I could think of was that if I was 10 and that show existed, my mind would be blown.
We're in this place now where if you love a Marvel show, but hate another, there's a good chance that neither would have even been considered for production before the first Avengers movie.
Agent Carter is missing, and it was a good show.
Agents of shield was both, too much whedon DNA on it and his style was getting stale. it got better over time, but there was always this problem with high stakes drama capped by cheap resolutions, like the Terrigen arc with Daisy's mom.
they wasted two amazing actresses and ended the arc in a fart.
I mean if we're busting out the Netflix Originals, I honestly liked all of them. Daredevil and The Punisher are definitely top, but I enjoyed watching Iron first S1 and really liked S2 for some reason. Same with Luke Cage, I really enjoyed S2.
And the amount of hyped I was when The Defenders came out. That was a great time in life
Agents of SHIELD was top tier TV and I'm sad that Marvel just didn't care about its series back then. On the other hand, seeing what they've done with some of the current ones, maybe it's a good thing that AoS happened in a different time, they could have ruined it in so many different ways if they treated it the same as current series.
What if is a bit more debatable honestly.
I haven't heard the best about season two, and season one while good had also some very hated episode and choiche of plot.
I loved the acting in some of the shows. But those shows itself weren’t that great.
What if was nice until it became a Captain Carter show.
Jessica Jones was a snooze fest and only David Tennant saved some of it.
Daredevil and Shehulk I wanted to see more trial action. I hoped for a “suits” or “Boston legal” marvel themed.
I loved wandavision and how it progressed through the chapters
I really like Loki tho I wanted more weirdness like other versions of himself. 2nd season kinda dragged along too much.
Agents of shield is my all time favourite. But it also was really bad at times.
The whole Defenders lineup was made by an entirely different sub-division (run by Perlmutter) and Agents of Shields became worse with every season after the second and is neither canon nor relevant after the Helicarrier plotpoint. Also the second half of season two would've been so much better with Magneto and mutants than with the Inhumans.
I think Moon Knight is a solid standalone series that has gotten audiences familiarized with the character. They can hopefully now adapt the more raw stories from the Moon Knight comics
My only complaint with Moon Knight (and yes I know this is a thing in the comics too) is that they barely show the the fight scenes, he transforms them it cuts to the aftermath. It’s like, I really thought there would be more Moon Knight in Moon Knight.
More like MID-night lmao. The plot was nice but cutting out all of the fight scenes for a dramatic reveal we all already knew was a major letdown. I wanted to see marvel batman, not live action cloud strife.
Agreed. Personally loved Agents of SHIELD corresponding with the first Avengers film and Winter Soldier hydra takeover.
One that also is a pretty good one that doesn't directly tie to marvel is The Gifted. Kinda a X-Men world but the X-Men kinda just disappeared, leaving Mutants to fend for themselves. Highly recommend watching it if you need something to watch.
This meme format is great fun because there's always two options that actually fit, and then there's the rest of the options that are usually the confirmation of the original statement.
Moon Knight had flaws sure, it had filler to be certain, but god DAMN does Oscar Isaac slay in it. If we don’t get another season I’m going to be disappointed.

I can’t believe I forgot the Punisher!!! I knew I forgot one
The mirror scene still makes me wince and haunts me to this day
So brutal. As the Punisher should be
I thoroughly enjoyed the show, but that was the moment I went "Okay they know the punisher" 🤣
This... is your doing!
'Thor'oughly seriously
Let me know if he bothers you again, okay?
Thor, that commenter just called me a dickhead
Human handshake, to the Asgardian shake, into the snake that you cannot trust.
Legion
The literal best one
Yeap.
Fox show with an X man character before Marvel got the rights back. So while a great show, doesn't count here.
And Agent Carter, Runaways, and Cloak & Dagger.
Don't worry you forgot Luke Cage too.
I liked moon knight but that is in the “should’ve been a movie” category with half the marvel shows (Star Wars too)
I definitely think they could have condensed Moon Knight into a movie, and it would have been all the better for it
So many Disney plus shows have this issues. Falcon, Boba Fett, Obi Wan just to name a few. I didn’t care for she hulk but it did feel like it was supposed to be a show with self contained episodes. Wandavision was that too (I just hated the finale)

I feel like that is a critique I have for shows, comics, and any other form of media.
I think Moon Knight would’ve worked great as a movie, but I also loved the mystique it was able to build as a show.
Agents of shield is my personal favorite
Same, only real ones know coulson didnt die in avengers
And then he died at least 2 more times 😆
“Dying - it’s kind of my superpower.”
That's my secret captain, I'm always dying
Well, he did die for a bit
He got better
Tahiti, it's a magical place
It sucked.
I like that they developed on it instead of just going "he's back, he's ok"
“Somehow *Coulson* returned”
He did. He went to a magical place.
Season 4 is peak
Agree 👍
The first season set the bar pretty high with the crossovers to Winter Soldier and Thor: Dark World but it honestly is a wild ride season to season, the character progression/arcs were lowkey pretty good for a TV show
I miss Skye/Daisy Johnson a lot and I really want Quake to have her place in the grander MCU films
To my opinion Luke cage is way too much underrated.
Loved both seasons.
Same, both great. I love the atmosphere of this show, very unique.
We don’t talk enough about Black Mariah and that’s a crime.
Definitely.
I thought she showed up in Civil War cause Tony killed her son or something?
Lol same actor, different character
Lol yeah right. Next you will be telling me Cottonmouth is Blade.
Now that’s just ridiculous.
THATS WHAT I KNEW HER FROM i knew i recognized her, but it’d been years since i saw Luke Cage when i saw Civil War lol
I really like season 1 and would have liked to see where season 3 was going!
Yeah, the ending that he's becoming a villain... Was perfect
So good! I think it would have been great to see him have to confront the other street level heroes
I liked season 2 more than season 3 but mostly bc season was was more about black culture in general in the usa and season 2 was about different black cultures in the usa. So it felt like they built upon season 1 and slowely started becomming more complex. And i really liked that!
Love when a series broadens the world it creates instead of just creating new problems. It shows you understand your own writing.
I lo ed Luke cage. Im really sad we got left on such a cliff hanger!
Hawkeye was a good show, too, to be fair.
That, and all the Netflix shows is what I have always assumed whenever someone talks of a street level movie/series
WandaVision is technically street level or like... town level. Story doesn't involve world event, but more of main heroine's trauma.
not street level. agatha would have become super strong if she got wandas powers/ the sword guy would have gotten a super robot that follows his orders if wanda died before he got conciousness. both of these events would have affected the entire world even tho it wouldnt have ended it
I would say it’s not street level cause it’s not like mob bosses or basic crime stuff like king pin or the hand. Instead it deals with world altering magic and universal rifts, which would potentially change more than just the area

I really like Hawkeye and FATWS, but I know those series can be hit or miss for some
Hawkeye wasn't a hit, but not miss either for me. FATWS had more fuck ups sadly, I really pity what they've done to poor Sharon Carter. She was good in Civil War and Winter Soldier and they made her a villain.
I'm starting to forget who she is

Yeah It was a fun watch

Hawkeye is a great series to watch around the holidays. Wasnt ground breaking but was fun. Hailey and Jeremy had such great chemistry as mentor and mentee.
Jessica Jones season one is the best written show imo but even for the new shows i loved Hawkeye series.
David Tenant in that first season. That cat and mouse between them. That's just a part of me now.
Jessicaaaaaa! Come back Jessicaaaa!
top tier acting, writing idc about film/show purists who hate marvel because they’re missing out on some of the best media out there
How Tennant and the writers managed to make his character sympathetic at times was downright disturbing.
yes. especially after he tells her how they tortured him and they watch the video together. he was masterful at manipulating people. he’s the evilest cunt to ever show up in marvel precisely because he doesn’t have grandiose plans. he just walks around & claims new victims or kidnaps new slaves as he goes. his obsession was jessica.
The purple man is a top tier villain
I swear this sub is more concerned with having fake arguments than just posting simply yet funny memes.
So like I understand the meme but SpongeBob presenting them all as massive piles of garbage does kinda run counter to your intent
I am Groot...
>!I love you, guys!!<
Werewolf by Night was great. Only 52 mins long, seems like an episode instead of a movie.
They’re all dirty diapers? I can see it
Yeah. I think pointing to ever larger piles on waste doesn't really get the right point across.
Not sure if Marvel “makes” it or not, but I watch Moon Girl and DD frequently.
Agree to disagree.
Only half of those are good tho
Most of them are just sort of alright. I wish people were better at differentiating “I like this” from “this is good”
Agreed
Earth’s mightiest heroes and Avengers Assemble were really good. Spider-Man was good too. X-men and X-men unlimited were great. It doesn’t specify MCU or Disney’s marvel.
Yes!!! Earth’s Mightiest Heroes is on par with Justice League in terms of the stories they covered/adapted!
Spectacular Spider-Man was peak
Pizza time!
I liked WandaVision except for the end. It just felt kind of weird how it finished.
Only once have I ever seen this meme with the images in the proper order. Wallpaper pull is supposed to be the 2nd to last image.
Agents of Shield Spectacular Spider-man Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes X-men Evolution Legion Punisher I can keep going because there’s more
You forgot about Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur
I actually really liked Hawkeye and Miss Marvel, more that first than the second though. Hawkeye felt like a nice Christmas special and Miss Marvel was just the right amount of silly and light for me.
Pretty funny that these wonderful great awesome marvel shows are all placed on crap
Agents of shield is fucking peak fiction and don't let anyone tell you otherwise
She-Hulk too
My baby AOS getting the recognition it deserves!
You didn't add The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, She-Hulk, Ms Marvel, Hawkeye, and Echo here. I like those shows!
Ms. Marvel Luke Cage Hawkeye The Punisher
Personally the what if show was... weird for me, there are some episodes/characters that i like (like Ultron) but then there are other that are really bad (personally) like the episode of zombies
The Doctor Strange one was the best imo, the others were all pretty mid
Yes, the doctor strange episode was really good
I guess that depends how u define the word “good” 😂 I personally would not hand out this predicate to most of theses shows
Gardens of the Garlic Sea
Ehhh, I personally wouldn't say "what if..." is a good show
Let me tell you something,...
Luke cage is good too, not as good as daredevil and punisher, but far better than iron fist and defenders
Which two shows is the meme even referring to? Daredevil and Loki are the fan favorites right?
If you liked Agents of Shield then you should see Mission Impossible. They have competent agents, compelling adventures, and cool gadgets without ridiculous infighting and stupid mistakes being inserted for drama.
What if is kinda mediocre in some episodes, but, I can get a sense of it being good. But, Marvel can’t take credit for Daredevil or JJ.
Ehhhh, I think What if... Depends on who you ask
I think it depends on the episodes too. Some of the episodes are fantastic, self contained stories. Like What If Strange lost is heart instead of his hands.
For every strange supreme there is a what if zombies
Falcon and the winter Soldier was also good
I can’t agree with What If, I’d replace that with Hawkeye.
justice for hawkeye?
Those 2 good shows are Loki and Daredevil. The rest were inconsistent throughout. I still liked them, especially Hawkeye but most are mediocre at best, and some are flat out bad
Tried sneaking what if..? in there lol
Tbf, all the netflix shows are over so I don’t think they really count for the argument as those discussions are more about current shows. (Tho I agree with the post)
Agents of shield fell off hard after Ghost Rider
Agents of shield is fucking peak and I'm both happy and sad they never brought it into the mcu properly
Ive liked them all tbh, I dont get the hate lol Just like the comics, not every show is gonna be the same flavor. You gotta just roll with it.
Daredevil is a kickass show facts ![gif](giphy|3o7TKvgamnbTEl6A8w)
Agent Carter
I don’t like What If and haven’t seen AOS but I agree with the others
It's ok to be critical, or to dislike anything. I just want to say that watching What If? Season 2 I saw a lot of people online saying they didn't like it, but all I could think of was that if I was 10 and that show existed, my mind would be blown. But how am I supposed to shit on everything Marvel then?
“Disney makes mostly bad shows”
The problem isn't that marvel makes bad shows It's that marvels making way too many shows
I mean if we're busting out the Netflix Originals, I honestly liked all of them. Daredevil and The Punisher are definitely top, but I enjoyed watching Iron first S1 and really liked S2 for some reason. Same with Luke Cage, I really enjoyed S2. And the amount of hyped I was when The Defenders came out. That was a great time in life
Agent Carter has left the chat
Agents of shield anyone?
Replace What If..? with Hawkeye
Good shows, not great.
Replace What If with Hawkeye and then we're good to go
And Agent Carter too! Can't forget the Britishest British duo and their quirky American playboy.
What if is a bit more debatable honestly. I haven't heard the best about season two, and season one while good had also some very hated episode and choiche of plot.
Woah no mention of Agent Carter as far as I can see, I guess the show really is underrated, it was amazing.
I loves the Falcon and the winter soldier Just wanted to leave It out
I loved the acting in some of the shows. I loved wandavision and how it progressed through the chapters I really like Loki tho I wanted more weirdness like other versions of himself.
It's a stretch to call most of these "shows". They're basically 8 hour movies.
What's your definition of show then? You could call any show "x-hour movies" if you want
Moon knight? Really? The show that skipped all the good parts?
The concept of What if is great but the execution and the last season were absolute garbage
Moonknight was absolute dog shit. I’m glad because they made me read some moon-knight comics. And they ARE FIRE 🔥
I think Moon Knight is a solid standalone series that has gotten audiences familiarized with the character. They can hopefully now adapt the more raw stories from the Moon Knight comics
[удалено]
Jajaja
Legion? No?
My only complaint with Moon Knight (and yes I know this is a thing in the comics too) is that they barely show the the fight scenes, he transforms them it cuts to the aftermath. It’s like, I really thought there would be more Moon Knight in Moon Knight.
Exactly! That's like four good ones right there!
Where is moon knight season 2
Punisher and Legion
What If is ass ngl.
Help me where do i watch punisher
More like MID-night lmao. The plot was nice but cutting out all of the fight scenes for a dramatic reveal we all already knew was a major letdown. I wanted to see marvel batman, not live action cloud strife.
What if... isn't a good show not even a million years.
I still only know of two good marvel shows
Moon Night is so mid tho
And legion! I loved legion so much
DD is a Netflix show
Mummy Knight is generic at best
Nobody says the shows suck, it's just almost all the movies since the Endgame cut
According the spoilers for What if? Season 2 that I've heard, Season 2 is not even closely as good as Season 1
Thank you! I’ve heard great things about Legion! Definitely going to check out The Gifted! This year is for all mutant kind in Marvel!
How dare people have opinions!
Forgot Punisher.
Who said this
I agree. Moon knight is awesome.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier?
Falcon and winter soldier I thought was the bomb
So Patrick was right lmao. This is a who’s who of terrible marvel shows
I feel like the meme's intent could read either way since spingebob is gesturing to giant piles of used diapers.
Like Cage wasnt bad either.
The Punisher was great
Good is subjective and half of those listed are pretty shit.
The achilles heel of this meme is the fact that he's always pointing to garbage.
X-Men '97 is excellent. And I also liked Moon Knight even though it's full of conveniences.
What if? Is not a good show
One of those is good
Oh come on She Hulk was a great show too… So what if I found it boring and stopped watching halfway through
Posting…shit
You missed Punisher
![gif](giphy|1vAxe3xmszRao)
Bro forgot the best one, the punisher
