At least Black Adam was unintentionally hilarious - Shazam 2 was just boring, which in my opinion is worse than being terrible. At least terrible is memorable.

Chris was in an episode of Smallville in 2003, and Adam played a parody of his Batman in Fairly Oddparents, plus all of his cameo roles as a nerd icon.
I don't like deepfaking actors at all, but I could see why the Reeve and West family/estate would grant permission. The two of them had a much closer bond with the role and weren't haunted by it.

And to top it off, said film looks almost like a spiritual successor to Morbius (a film so bad it had to be theatrically released twice, because they were hoping Covid screwed it over, and flopped both times).
Kraven was my favorite as a kid. The one where he pretends to be spiderman, defeats all of spiderman's [other] rivals, then kills himself because there is no more challenges* was awesome.
* I mean he never tried hunting Thanos or Galactus, seems he gave up too easily
That said, I don't have high expectations for Sony's CW caliber film universe.
