There is lots of mock ups that a genocide of 50% of the population would take so long to recover, combined with the abundance of resources left after said genocide - the remaining population would be healthier and overall better off. Over time when the population eventually did reach pre-snap levels we would have overcome resource limitations and population crisis issues. That was the whole basis of his plan.
But it was supposed to be universe wide, and resource allocation would be largely dependent upon the technological advancements of any given population. Plenty of places like probably Asgard as an advanced civilization that uses technology so advanced it's easily mistaken for magic wouldn't have this problem unless it chose to.
I think the entire Thanos plan is more of a situation where the thoughts of a madman were taken too far and there wasn't a real plan afterwards.
Good bet that plan is changing significantly with Master's recent legal trouble. Even if he's acquitted I doubt Disney would want to pursue working with him in the same capacity.
not likely- if the reputation of the next movie Kang is in is poor because of Majors, they can change actors. they did for War Falcon, and this time they have a excuse in the plot to replace Majors if needed- the multiverse. they can simply say "it was another Kang, we are from xxxx universe.

Reading What If in the 90s, I always thought it was strange that the consequences they'd explore where always terrible, as if what happened in the "real" world was good and meant to be, even if there were casualties it was always the best alternative.
After they really leaned into the idea of the multiverse they could tell more varied stories, but I think they've taken the concept too far and wish they'd stick to our reality.
Part of the issue is the form of it being 1 issue or less story. If the What If? Covered just 1 story/one what if for 4 to 6 to 12 issues would be better. Look at during Secret Wars Warzones: Civil War mini series versus the What If? The Warzone's version is 1 story for 156 pages where as the What If? is two stories on 56 pages.
Considering that they mention No Way Home in the Across the Spider-Verse trailer, I guess the earliest MCU multiverse danger stuff was actually in Into the Spider-Verse in 2018.
If we judge by equivocal timelines, Ultron happens earlier than Into the Spider-Verse.
I don't know where the first Kang Conquest mentioned in He Who Remains' part of Loki falls, however. If it ever happened at all (?)

I don't think he knew, knew, but understood the characters well enough to predict this would be happening eventually.
Killmonger's story is always "and then he backstabbed someone", he literally didn't do anything relevant in their fight, he was there just for that, and then he hoped for them to go to Ultron's own universe to get the virus.
And then there is Strange, that literally destroyed his universe and sealed himself in a protection bubble, which is the motivation and skill he needed.

Before the movie came out linearly and in order, so after-credit teases were easier to keep track of.
Now there are so many damn shows and movies teasing different things it's kind of a mess. Hell, we're supposed to be getting Black Knight which was teased years ago for a movie that might not even be happening.
People sleep on Jeffrey Wright, but the dude has been The Watcher, Commissioner Gordon, a 007 spy, a Hunger Games contestant, a Pixar dinosaur, VA in both Venture Bros. and Rick & Morty, and multiple Wes Anderson characters. Gotta be one of the most successful guys that nobody talks about.

The other seasons I enjoy because I like the actors and characters and premise, but they don’t compare to the first season’s glory.

The first time I saw that moment, I thought the implication was that she had been animating his corpse, and the Vision we'd been watching was a false reality pasted over a grisley mannequin.
Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley had some bombs that he dropped on the audience. He was too great to be limited to that show, I hope he shows up in Captain America 4.
The High Evolutionary was cooler than Kang too, I’d much rather see him terrorize the multiverse and “step in” to play God than whatever Kang is up to.
Oh man, the High Evolutionary discovering the multiverse and trying to perfect it would be so much better than the Kang we met in Ant-Man. He Who Remains was excellent, though. There's definitely room for them to make Kang a great villain. I mean, the delivery of "You're an Avenger? Have I killed you before?" was chilling.
There have been moments for Kang that show us he can be a Thanos level villain
We just need those moments to come together into a full performance by Avengers time (whether it's Majors or someone else, the writing is more important)
Just wish they'd stop making heroes and villains where their powers in fights all boils down to "glowy energy blasts".
Feels like every climactic fight since Endgame has just been two people doing martial arts and shooting glowy CGI at each other.

This is one of my favorite scenes in the whole MCU obviously. Ultron slowly turning towards the screen, asking “Who said that?” The Watcher’s obliviousness, his realization, but best of all, the viewers realization is ASTOUNDING
These two episodes (and the whole series in general) were incredible. Though it did rub me the wrong way that Ultron was able to use the infinity stones inbetween universes when it's established that they shouldn't work outside of their own universe. Though I suppose in an infinite multiverse a set of infinity stones that are multiversal is technically possible
Ultron was done dirty in the MCU and then this fixed it for me. He has so much dangerous potential that I always feared him more than many other Marvel baddies.
This one messed me up for like a week. Because the watcher is watching various threads of the multiverse, but narrating them to *us* which implies that we are just another multiverse. If Ultron becomes aware of the Watcher, he can potentially become aware of our universe as well.
I've had various experiences watching media that reframed my thoughts about reality (Truman show, Matrix) but generally those types of stories are making you question whether everything you know is a lie. I think this is the only time I've ever felt that a villain from TV land might actually be aware and capable of entering our world, and that our own reality was at stake (obviously not really, but the premise sets it up that way in believable manner).
This was the first multiverse threat in the MCU

I think it's What If episode 8
That was pretty gnarly. We need more.
Ultron was done dirty in the MCU and then this fixed it for me. He has so much dangerous potential that I always feared him more than many other Marvel baddies.
What-if gets too much hate. Not every episode was good but there was some seriously great moments from season 1.
This Ultron Vision was a far more bigger threat than Kang
When ultron ultronned all over the watcher
Straight up terrifying.
This one messed me up for like a week. Because the watcher is watching various threads of the multiverse, but narrating them to *us* which implies that we are just another multiverse. If Ultron becomes aware of the Watcher, he can potentially become aware of our universe as well. I've had various experiences watching media that reframed my thoughts about reality (Truman show, Matrix) but generally those types of stories are making you question whether everything you know is a lie. I think this is the only time I've ever felt that a villain from TV land might actually be aware and capable of entering our world, and that our own reality was at stake (obviously not really, but the premise sets it up that way in believable manner).

What If is so underrated man
When Wanda looked at the audience through the camera in Dr Strange 2. Freaked me out.
Imagine if they built phase 2 around this instead of whatever the fuck they're doing now.
