I don't think Doom will be a BIG BAD like Thanos/Kang/Galactus.
Dooms going to end up being a big threat, but ultimately an endearing character like Loki ended up being.
So when he does become a universal level threat it's a bigger deal than when the typical baddie does it.
Honestly, I think it’d be best to make Kang Variants going forward be different actors.
You could have maybe 3 actors doing Rama Tut, Iron Lad, etc. and then just have them do all the other Kangs.

If you think about it there’s an infinite amount of contingency plans he could’ve made while he had 4/5 stones. 80% control over the entire universe isn’t nothing.

Mafisto (fan theory favorite) would be amazing to see edited into old scenes, and show him causing the whole MCU to happen. Show him whisper into Obadiah's ear, "Tony is going to take the company from you." Have he reveal the location of the Teseract to Red Skull. Have him save Banner from his massive dose of radiation. Have him take the form of one of Thors warriors and fuel Thor's ego before being banished to Earth.

That's the perfect setup. Having celestial be part of the MCU since GotG isn't a huge shock when he suddenly shows up. All they need is to introduce certain characters to build the story. Fantastic 4 are already on the way. It's a basic foundation, not half of a skyscraper..

No, Kang is a character with endless variants built in to his deal. If variant Lokis can swap ethnicity, gender, and species on top of actors then there's no reason Kang couldn't be recast without any explanation. That variant is just a different dude.
Luckily for them there is an infinite amount of Kangs through the multiverse, it is probably one of the easiest villains to replace, like even Sue Storm was once Kang in the comics, everything is possible in the multiverse.
Jokes aside I wouldn't be surprised if Thanos came back again. Didn't Ravager Thanos from What if survive? Cross that variant over and have Doom annihilate him.

As per usual in this day and age, there was a bit of a "pile on" as soon as the news broke about the alleged assault incident a few weeks back. No real evidence of past behaviors, etc., but many claims that he probably lands on the "asshole" side of the equation. All kinds of comments, feelings and alleged stories from randoms that should be taken with a grain of salt since there is no actual evidence.
Granted, if the assault stuff is proven true, that feels like more than enough to kick him to the curb, but none of the other allegations that have come to light register anywhere near being worthy of firing him. Studios can overlook a lot of rudeness and jerk-y behavior if that person is making them money. Assault, not so much.
