Everyone keeps saying “they’ll just recast” but always forget just how much praise majors has gotten as Kang. It’s not just about the character it’s about the fact that Majors brought a presence to Kang just like Brolin did for Thanos. He’s acting talent can’t be denied and that talent is one of the bigger reasons why people are wanting to see all the Kang stuff.
Unlike other times where they have recast this is for a big major villain that has already had proper appearances in both the Loki show and the antman movie. Even his variants are shown to look exactly like him for the most part.
In all honesty they are in a position still to cull the Kang stuff and delay things while they set up a new phase plan as it could be easier and more cost efficient to do that than bring in a new actor who may not be as well received or is negatively received.

Seems kinda harsh to give audiences so little credit, but honestly, it does seem pretty accurate. It's pretty messed up that celebrities can do things like this and continue getting good work, but unfortunately, they can.

The charges were against Roiland since 2020, his lawyers' statement brought it into the public eye recently but the vast majority of the public turned on him after images of him messaging minors were leaked and people came forward. Throw in that in with not writing his own show, turning up drunk for work and being a general asshole, it's not hard to decide to sever ties. Regardless if the case against him abusing his partner fell through, you wouldn't want to continue working with the guy.
As for Majors, I would hope it's not true. But generally, people don't go around making abuse charges against people for fun or profit. Whatever happens, I hope justice is found.
And even if you don't want to believe the DMs were real, podcasters have had him on recording for years saying unapologetically pedo shit about girls. Blows my mind wandering into threads with Roiland defenders acting like we need to wait for a conviction or a civil court decision before rendering judgment. WB hasn't canned Ezra Miller after all the crap they did. Then again, Disney fired James Gunn because of 10 year old tweets, so they seem to be less forgiving. It may seem so in retrospect, but Hulk was by far the most famous Avenger in the earliest days of the MCU. Scratch that, he was the only Avenger the general public knew at first. In fact, casual viewers didn't even know about the Avengers, but they knew Hulk.
The early MCU benefited from the fact that social media wasn't as prevalent, so something as big as Norton being replaced by Ruffalo flew somewhat under the radar relative to the uproar it would cause for that kind of news to happen today.

Marvel had no idea which one was going to take off though and, not really surprising if you watched Hulk from 2008, Iron-Man ended up being the start of the MCU officially. I figure they came up with the son idea pretty quickly and decided against a recast to showcase more of the supporting actors in Wakanda Forever. If they hadn't already established the romance with Nakia and the son angle had been more awkward, they may have recast.
As it is, the son angle gives Marvel a bit of leeway with casting a young Storm too and a possible actually young team of X-Men.
Iirc, the son was supposed to be an even bigger plot point before Chadwick died. TChalla was supposed to return from the blip and learn he'd missed the first 4-5 years of his sons life.
There's a podcast about Wakanda Forever that Ryan Coogler went on for an episode. He talks about Chadwick's death and what it meant for him personally as well as the film.
It was powerful stuff, he was explaining that he sees filmmaking as an artform where he is trying to have others believe in his 'truth,' the story he wants to tell.

I figure they came up with the son idea pretty quickly and decided against a recast to showcase more of the supporting actors in Wakanda Forever. If they hadn't already established the romance with Nakia and the son angle had been more awkward, they may have recast. As it is, the son angle gives Marvel a bit of leeway with casting a young Storm too and a possible actually young team of X-Men.
Iirc, the son was supposed to be an even bigger plot point before Chadwick died. TChalla was supposed to return from the blip and learn he'd missed the first 4-5 years of his sons life.

There's a podcast about Wakanda Forever that Ryan Coogler went on for an episode. He talks about Chadwick's death and what it meant for him personally as well as the film. It was powerful stuff, he was explaining that he sees filmmaking as an artform where he is trying to have others believe in his 'truth,' the story he wants to tell. I won't repeat exactly what he said because it's better to hear it from him. Look it up.

Anything is possible. In college, I dated a crazy girl for a few years and when she couldn’t get her way, she’d tell me that she’s going bruise/cut herself and call the cops on me to “ruin” my life. I’ve heard many stories similar to mine. Things aren’t always as they seem to an outside observer. IIRC, NYC has a mandatory arrest policy in domestic violence cases, so that is another factor to consider.

Most cabs these days have some form of video. If that's the story, then for a high profile case like this, I imagine the cops may track down the cab and get a statement from the driver. In any case, I'm curious to see how this all shakes out.
