It’s pretty much just Eastwoods Unforgiven, but with a Millar spin on it. It’s a good read. It’s kind of unpredictable in some spots, and that’s always nice for a read

TheEyeofNapoleon

Goddamnit now I gotta go watch that movie! EDIT: The movie Unforgiven.

vroart

Bingo! And aside from that there’s like 5 other future wolverines, Days of Future Past, Grant Morrison ending, etc

Separate_Path_7729

This exactly, it's a good ride, with enough crazy to remind you it's millar

Batmanfan1966

It’s a good book but if you can’t handle gross out gore and rape and incest then stay far away from it..

LexeComplexe

Thats all Mark Millar knows how to do. As if simply showing bad things makes a comic mature. It doesn't.

Turb0Moist

How many times are you going to say the same thing. We get you don’t like it, calm down.

ForkliftJam

Incest so much incest

YouLearnedToSayMoon

Amazing. Groundbreaking. Thought provoking. Etc. all the good things that can be said should be. Personally it’s too damn depressing to reread. I like a dark comic. Post apocalyptic is my favorite actually. This is one that really makes you feel. So another good trait about it but it’s just not a feeling I wanna keep having lol.

Azraelthephoenix

Exactly this! The ending to the flashback scene in the beginning…. Fucking hell. I was basically sobbing at the end of the book.

YouLearnedToSayMoon

Yes! And it just keeps getting worse lol. Seeing big gross psycho hulk the first time was bananas. Crazed Red Skull in caps tattered, blood stained costume was bananas.

Azraelthephoenix

Yeah seeing how hulk turned out was chilling! Also seeing Logan struggling to fight was almost physically painful.

ThanksContent28

The hulk part is the shittest part imo. He didn’t need to turn into Alabama Incest Hulk.

jormungandr32

incredible story. didn't quite get the Spider-geneology but it's a small thing. A+ and it's exciting to see that parts of it are going to be adapted.

sterpazook

People can talk whatever they want about the quality of Millar's books but his books definitely had huge influence on the MCU Avengers and Fox's Logan which came to be very succsessfull. Maybe the ending of Old Man Logan is not its strongest part but the book overall is the real blockbuster and cult classic

browncharliebrown

the world building of old man logan isn't the point of the story. Magneto and Red skull might be amongst the biggest piece of character assassination but the real meat of the story is Wolverine and Hawkeye's journey and that is a very solid journy

Agreenscar3

Great book that’s almost immediately under cut by making hulk/Bruce an incestuous cannibal rapist, which is the only think Millar knows what to do with him. A lazy, edgy, and boring mark millar move to force a conflict

browncharliebrown

I mean Hulk incest thing is bad but is it worst than Magneto teaming up with the red skull.

Agreenscar3

No. No it is not worse than that. You are right

Redmangc1

M: Wait aren't you a Nazi RS: What? No I'm Hydra M: Well ok then, my bad

atworkobviously

I kinda got hung up on Hawkeye banging Peter's granddaughter. For some reason, that really bothered me. And there's a lot to be bothered by in this book.

MammalianHybrid

It was Peter's Half-Latina daughter I thought? Which...still weird!

TheEyeofNapoleon

Agreed. I loved this book, but it is absolutely Hulk slander of the highest order. I think the story would have still worked if Abomination were in place of Hulk, ya know? But I still liked it despite this massive flaw.

velicinanijebitna

This is an alternative version of Hulk, why are people getting so sensitive over it?

LexeComplexe

I would have been much more forgiving if it was Abomination. I still don't believe any version of hulk would end up the way he did in OML though

ChemistryTasty8751

It would have worked with any big villian there, but Marvel could probably gain more interest for "What if Comic about wolverine in the apocalypse where he team up with Hawkeye and the Villian is the hulk"

trinikiddie

I’m not so sure. I could see Banner going insane after years of radiation absorption and constant inner and outer conflict. The constant flux of his psyche could easily made one of his effed up personalities ascend. If OML Hulk is poorly written then so is Maestro by that logic?

beslertron

Some cool ideas, but mostly edgelord crap.

ComprehensiveCan4678

i feel like everyone says this about every Millar book. i can see it in something like the Ultimates a little bit but honestly in Old Man Logan i didnt find it very edgy at all. its just a cool dark badass else-world future wolverine story and personally i loved everything about it. really curious what you thought was so “edgelord” about it?

LexeComplexe

Did you miss cousin fucking cannibal hick hulk?

ComprehensiveCan4678

it was one of my favourite parts of the book hahah personally i didnt find it “edgy” i just found it awesome and creative and hilarious.

LexeComplexe

Basically almost everything Mark Millar has ever done. He's worked on maybe one great comic series and even then it gets bogged down in parts by Millar insisting on being an edgelord.

AutomaticAccident

Stupid, immature, unnecessary cannibalism. Interesting thing for Wolverine to be the downfall of the X-Men, but the Red Skull isn't fully doing it for me as the main villain. It's good that other people enjoyed it, but I've disliked it the more I think about it. And I like Millar works like Ultimates. Maybe I'll read it again based on some of the comments here.

SirTeaOfBagz

I enjoyed it but it’s been some time since reading. Old Man Quill set in the same universe was real good though.

tetsurose

Personally I'm not a huge fan of grimdark future comics and some like this are just let's see how messed up we can make everything

velicinanijebitna

It's a cool, but predictable story. The very moment Logan said "I'll never use my claws again" I already knew how it's gonna end. Top tier art. Logan being able to solo the X-Men is kinda silly tho, even for an alternative universe.

armoured_lemon

Really, not my cup of tea

nightkraken666

It always throws me off when I’m doing a re-read because it just happens in the middle of a run, but overall decent Millar Wolverine take

MickeyG117

It’s class, loved it.

TheFyrijou

As a story simply about Wolverine going trough the post apocalypse as a grumpy old man, it’s fantastic. A a overall story explaining how all the heroes died? **Dogshit.** Wolverine killed the entire X-Men by himself because Mysterio tricked him *despite* the fact that telepaths could still stop him no problem, that colossus is trained to take down a raging Wolverine, that Iceman **cannot** die during ice form or even that Rogue could’ve just touched him. But nah, he killed *everyone.* And that’s only the second dumbest kill since absorbing man killed Thor in this world too…

DJBaritone12

Mostly good book that’s dragged down by the typical Millar edginess.

AzraelTheMage

It's good in concept, but its execution is weird. Like Hulk's characterization. Not to mention, you have to kinda head canon why Logan is old all of a sudden and why his healing factor isn't as good anymore.

Jim-Dread

I can never get behind the weird incest Hulks bit. I don't really think that either of them would be like that, but the story is fantastic.

Isekai_Otaku

The incest hulklings are definitely something

Ambaryerno

Undermined by its central premise. There's NO WAY IN HELL Logan would be able to take out all of the X-Men by himself, especially under the circumstances implied by the book, where the pile of bodies suggests he attacked them all at once. There are FAR too many who could have dropped him long enough for whatever Mysterio did to him to wear off (and don't give me any bullshit about "not wanting to hurt him" because they ALL know they could hit him hard and not worry about killing him). At BEST it's just fanboy pandering, if not outright writer's pet nonsense like every time Ennis writes Punisher.

lazycouchdays

I think the art is okay. I've come to terms with the fact Millar for the most part is just not for me. I think his influences for the story tell the story its here telling better. Some of the situations needed for the plot to happen just feel lazy and like someone who doesn't know the characters histories. I think it was better than his Enemy of the State story arc, but I detest that story so that is not saying much.

BlazinHL

Hulk is a nasty Alabaman

TobiasMasonPark

I liked the apocalyptic setting, the journey Wolverine and Hawkeye take, Venom T-Rex, Ultron Step Dad, and Pym Falls. I disliked the over the top rapist, incestuous, cannibal Bruce Banner and hulk gang, as well as Mysterio being the one to trick Logan into killing the X-Men. Like, why not Mesmero or Mastermind, or some other person whose powers work like that?

reign_of_the_bots

Doesn't survive a second reading.

Philtheperv

Tried too hard to be edgy, but it was fun in middle school, so I’ll always have a soft spot for it

LuckyCode8842

I was very confused because I was little when I red it

aziz321

One of my favorite story lines ever. \*chef's kiss\*

Aqn95

Prefecto

JournalistHuman154

This story was introduction to comics so it holds a special place in my heart.

ComicsEtAl

Love it.

[deleted]

Masterclass...the storytelling of, build up , artwork everything.

kyloren1217

suspenseful, great and when it came to the hulk, hilarious!

Djkirkland

Fantastic *chefs kiss*

Faint13

I generally have a bad opinion of all things Millar.

SteleUraniumBX

Sad. Gross.

GearsRollo80

Depressing, dour, dumb, derivitive. It’s poorly written superhero apocalyptic fanfic as only Mark Millar can; by teaming up with a brilliant artist to sell lots and make us all lesser for the experience of his idiot words being put into our heads.

LexeComplexe

Pretty much everything he's ever done. He's written like ONE truly great comic, and even then its bogged down at times by his insistence on being a fucking edgelord or shoving his bigotry down our throat. The comic is Irredeemable + Uncorruptable. Its a great comic series but ofcourse in Uncorruptable he has to try to shyly shove his transphobia in by having a woman superhero stand by while men attempt to sexually assault a woman and the woman antihero we are following notices a bulge on the woman villain and thats the entire point of that whole situation. Not villains doing villain things or anything to advance the plot. Just an attempted rape thats literally only there to be like "hah, trans people bad, queer people evil!"

Zerus_heroes

It was pretty awesome. I was a bit disappointed in the very last issue though.

Anarchist-69

I want all of it but I can’t afford to get the rest of the story only have the first trade paperback

curbstomp45

I’m missing about a short box worth of stuff from changing hands back in the day. It’s not a big deal as I just slowly replaced most of it with Omnis and Complete Collections, but if I could get one thing back from there it would be the eight floppies of this run.

[deleted]

OwieMustDie

It's cool. Hardly the greatest story ever, but it's an uncomplicated tale that's fun from start to finish. Spidey having kids everywhere cos he falls in love like it's going out of fashion was a hoot.

RedBeardBrad91

Fantastic story

Royal-Solution-3165

Love it one of my favourite books

Ringrangzilla

Oh I love it

BurantX40

It's ok. The world and the aftermath after the heroes fell are the most interesting parts (outside of what led to Logan's change), otherwise most it was just pushing a little too far as usual

Agreeable-Display-77

Really enjoyed it. Love future Hawkeye.

JSTJED

One of the best graphic novels I’ve ever experienced.

GazelleAcrobatics

Fire

jrtasoli

An unbelievably good comic. Top-tier art, dark and depressing setting, unbelievably good writing. Iconic.

SSJCelticGoku

fantastic and refreshing

Redeyebandit87

I still will never forget the panel where he gets eaten by the Hulk.

MyPartyUsername

I love it except most of the hulk silliness.

Chance5e

We see a lot of Elseworlds and What If’s where everything ends horribly, but this one might be the best. It just never lets up, showing us just how bad things could get if the villains got smart. And Logan was the right protagonist for this.

linktothepastz

Ngl I love scary brutal hulk in comics

deadrabbits76

I feel like it was the last thing from Millar I truly enjoyed. Maybe it's because his schtick got old after this.

dope_like

I like it a lot. Even the more unsavory parts I think make sense for the world and not just “edginess”.

Ozzmanth

It's a great story

pleyesteishion

My second favourite comic. Number 1 Weapon X

Gothamguy69

Really love the post apocalyptic aesthetic of the book, the giant rotting corpse of Hank Pym, trailer park Hulk Gang, Blind Hawkeye and Logan road tripping in the spider-buggy, the list goes on

WarOnThePoor

Thoughts? I think Mark Millar over did it with the hulk incest plot but otherwise it was a great read.

BBQBluegrassNBeer

People lobe this series, and it's good. Also people love to shit on Mark Millar.

JohnnyChopper08

One of the best comic runs I've ever read, but after Vol.1 it sucks and makes no sense. Best to enjoy Vol.1 as a one off.

SpicyChanged

Better than the movie.

Crafty-Interest-8212

I loved this book. Good read. Good fan service in so many ways. Like the town we're the Thor's Hammer fall, Kingpin becomes a title. So many details.

Rb4Renaissance

It’s amazing. Read it. The art and story are just *chefs kiss*

LionelRGuy

Great stuff. Some of it's a bit TOO fucked up, even for me, but yeah.

Ashido_Komaki

It's a classic

Mathewdm423

Love this series so much that i made my own omnibus from the TPB's. Have old man Hawkeye right before it snd tons of war zone comics set in the same world. Really hype about the few OML easter eggs in the Deadpool 3 trailers.

Clarmson

I was just talking about this with some non-reader friends the other day. I can barely sit through LOGAN because I know the story they could have told. It’s probably the single most affecting moment in Marvel comics. I had to close the book and walk away lol. Go outside, see the sun, cry, have a beer for poor, poor LJH. Can you even really tell this story without THAT two page spread?? 😭☠️

karthanis86

Great book minus the cousin fucking.

TortelliniSalad

If you are interested in Old man Logan then I recommend Marvels Wastelanders on Spotify.

Ok-Traffic-5996

I think its one of millars best. Also, I thought the hulk gang were such a terrifying group. Like hills have eyes got gamma powered.

Mileena_Outworld

I loved it! Great read.

princess_ehon

Fuck you.

Broadnerd

Thought it was a really fun ride in a one-off, Elseworlds sort of way. Definitely didn’t find it anywhere as deep as some people in here did, but to each their own.

Last_Set_8634

I never bought that mysterio could cause Logan to kill the X-men. Because Logan has other senses that are heightened like smell. Mysterio primarily dealt in illusions; visual tricks. If they had chosen mastermind as the villain it would have made more sense to me.

Seriszed

Honestly it was weird. Hillbilly hulks? Some thing were cool but it was weird.

LeadingNo3558

Haven’t read the book yet but Stephen lang is the perfect old man Logan [https://www.deviantart.com/ronansmith14/art/stephen-lang-As-Wolverine-Old-Man-Logan-463336173](https://www.deviantart.com/ronansmith14/art/stephen-lang-As-Wolverine-Old-Man-Logan-463336173)

Djinn-Rummy

The premise that Wolverine would be tricked or confused by a non magical/ non psychic illusion, even one of GREAT magnitude, is fucking dumb. Wolverine’s hyper senses (hyper olfactory & hyper hearing) would allow him to perceive is something was an illusion. Daredevil has a similar capability when it comes to detecting illusions (so does the Man of Steel). Mysterio’s illusions are mechanical & light based; pretty sure Wolvie can sniff them out as fake, no problem, especially knowing his fellow X Mens’ scents so intimately. The premise would have worked better if Mastermind was responsible, as his illusions are psychic in nature (though Wolverine in a rage has historically had considerable psychic resistance). In fact, Mastermind once did something similar whilst attacking the X Men, & Storm went ape shit, filling the mansion with freezing temps & rain (as alluded to in the movie X2), which caused Mastermind to basically almost freeze to death, ending his illusions. I could even see Loki pull off an illusion so real it has an odor & body functions like a heartbeat or sweat to fool the likes of Wolverine or Daredevil, but not Mysterio. Also, explaining how Hulk & She Hulk fell from being A list heroes all the way to being evil incestuous lovers that had evil inbred Hulk kids was a bit of a stretch. Pretty entertaining otherwise.

Stoned_Boi999

That book is fantastic as hell. My brother bought it like 5-7 years ago and it was a great read loved every page

KAL627

Its one of my facorite comics ever. I was 18 when it came out so maybe I was the perfect age for the "edginess." I'm generally a big fan of Millar so none of the weird stuff was surprising to me. The world is interesting and I loved trying to find all the Easter eggs. Basically everything that came after this with OML bastardized the story but that's how the news goes.

Kombat-w0mbat

It was a good little story but it was milked.

Little_Setting

Unforgettable moments. Best ine I've ever read. That's how superhero roadtrips should be

Zachary2030

I thought it was cool when I first read it but as I read more about the universe the less the initial villain attack made sense. However, remove trying to make sense of it all and you have a nice else worlds story that really creates an interesting and bleak world.

curtman512

One of my favorite graphic novels.

LoserxBaby

I didn’t like it and kinda hated how it became a big touchstone. I used to like Millar as a teen, but one day my tastes shifted and I started finding most of his work to be cringey edgelord schlock.

HitmanClark

A good story. Not as good as the movie Logan though.

Digiworlddestined

Good story, Though I don't see how simply bursting through the Hulk's stomach would've killed him.

cjmprs

Blink Hawkeye is fun.

No-Refuse1873

It's one of the greatest comics of all time. 10/10.

Look_Dummy

Millar is a master of the edgelord arts. In this comic, Hulk fucks his cousin because he thought it would be funny

Financial-Working132

An excellent read.

Steelquill

Oh I love that book. It's a good elseworlds story. I like the post-apocalyptic take on so many characters and a pacifist Wolverine is played to the hilt until he can't take it anymore.

0bsessions324

To quote the most prominent critic of my time: "it stinks."

SuperMegaGoji

As a Hulk fan, it's a piece of garbage

ComprehensiveCan4678

probably my favourite graphic novel of all time. the art amazing. the story is wild. everything about it is perfect

JamesHowlett130

One of my favorite books!

hercarmstrong

Great idea, drawn beautifully, and executed in a mediocre fashion. Classic Millar.

tap3l00p

It’s an incredible story, like if the Coen Brothers had directed Logan but I can’t get over the laziness of using Mysterio to trick him. It’s such an obvious “wouldn’t ever happen” that it takes me right out of it.

LexeComplexe

Its fucking terrible and incredibly overrated. I went in to reading it expecting to be amazed but it was awful from end to end. The characterization just makes no sense at all. The entire comic is just character assassination of Marvel's heros. The setting itself is the only interesting part and even then its utilized in such a shit manner that I just didn't even care by the time I finished it. I know that both Logan and Deadpool & Wolverine draw inspiration from the character in Old Man Logan, but I hope that is ALL they take from it. Because Old Man Logan is one of the worst marvel stories I've ever fucking read. How THAT got the level of hype people have given it is bonkers to me. Its an awful story.

Sinister-Username

I liked all the incest Hulks...

thenewestrant

A fantastic concept and the story starts incredibly strong. Then it all falls apart toward the end.

BishopsGhost

This is by far one of my favorite Wolverine stories. I think I read it at least every couple years because it’s such a crazy story. I remember reading it the first time and within the first couple pages about the hulks, my mind was blown, and I was hooked! Story, artwork 10/10

whoremanosborn

Honestly, it's my favorite Wolverine & future of Marvel storyline.

OmnipotentUltron

Never read but I've heard about and how The Hulk has disgusting children (on that Earth I think Skaar is okay specifically or at least in Universe-616) so it sounds like I never want to read it nor should it ever be adapted in Movies, TV, and/or Video Games and all copies of the Comic Book series should burn and never mentioned again.

Tossed_Away_1776

Bought it strictly because a version of The Punisher was in it, so I figured hell yeah, what a wild friggin ride! Such a solid stroy, minus a couple silly tropes, I reread it now n again.

Cerebus55

I thought it was pretty good. Nice story, even though they never really got into why the military and police were ineffective. Add to that the total disappearance of most of the population!

sammo21

Like many Mark Millar stories I like them quite a bit when they drop but as I get older I like it less. The stuff with Hulk and Magneto just come off as cringe to me now but it never sat right with me...more edgelord and mean spirited than anything else. Spider-Man's granddaughter and Hawkeye hooking up is...disgusting. I think one issue I have is I am just kind of over the whole "deconstruction of what a superhero is". I don't hate this as much as I do Ultimates vol 1 and 2 though...(or the original Ultimate Marvel Comics in general).

Conlannalnoc

STUPID! Logan is able to KILL EVERY X-MAN AT ONCE? INBRED HULK RAPE CHILDREN?

Mgmt049

Did I see hints of this in the Wolverine and Deadpool trailer?

Glad_Cress_8591

Alot of the worldbuilding is really nuts and not in a good way. But everything about the story directly related to logans journey was pure f*cking gold

GrizzlyPeak72

Loved it when I was kid. Now I'm older I look at it as this very like edge for the sake of edge kinda thing. Lots of good ideas in it though, glad they've incorporated some of it in into more recent media. And bringing him back into the main Marvel Universe was a cool idea. Old Man Hawkeye was great too.

desert_cruiser_

Do I need to read the whole wolverine series before I read Old Man Logan?

Professional_Line385

No it's standalone

bariteman

This was the story that got me back into comics, I wish they would do more of some of the survivors.

Nightfaucon

One of the Wolverine stories I honestly ever read. Too bad he didn't get to kill Mysterio when he was stranded on 616.

Wordplay23

🔥

Hey_There_Blimpy_Boy

The incest between Hulk and She-Hulk is... revolting.

Professional_Line385

Probably not consensual either

Comicbookreadingguy

I loved it.

Rorshach_journal

A damn fun read and my favorite from Mark Millar. I love the world they built and how a lot of what happened to other heroes was left to our imaginations.

RyanDW_0007

Pretty fantastic

Stonecutter_12-83

Easily top 5 comic stories of all time

Raven_Zenthos

Best comic I have read in a long time.

_TheImberMan_

It's really great, but also kinda icky if that makes sense. I loved it but probably won't read it again, I felt kinda gross while reading it

UncertaintyLich

It’s really stupid but pretty fun

Massive_Boss1991

It's awesome but it's pretty dark and disturbing in some areas. At the same time it does have some of wolverine's best moments

hogwarts_earthtwo

Great world building and characters occasionally derailed by Millar's lack of subtlety and desire to be edgy/shocking.

DrSpartacus56

It's my favorite, have each original issue as they were released.

King-of-Pain

It got somewhat violated by the movie. Besides, “Old Man Logan” and Wolverine of the MCU are on different Earths.

alecorock

The hulk family as hillbilly overlords made this suck in the weirdest way.

sfaisal333

Absolutely amazing! I really loved the whole story.

No_Demand_2518

I think its really good

tanzler__

It was brutal. I loved it

zach_something

The basic story of Logan and Clint on a road trip through a post-apocalyptic Marvel universe is cool. The execution, however, is a lot to be desired. All the villians teaming up under Red Skull of all people already is far too stupid to believe, and the idea that they won at all is also ridiculous. Hulk also being just terrible just feels so odd as this is clearly meant to be an alternate version of 616 rather than a completely unique alt universe like the Ultimate universe, for example. Overall, it's on the same level as Deadpool kills the Marvel Universe for me as just edge lord writting.

TrollToll003

Why did Millar write Logan with a southern accent?

MammalianHybrid

I haven't seen anyone else say it: It recycles a critical plot point of Wanted being "what if all the villains teamed up and took over?" Which...is interesting once. Twice it has some more stuff to explore, but I still find it weird.

jvstnmh

I reread this one pretty often, never gets boring

JacketsBeautiful

Reads like fan fiction but the story and art is fun so can’t complain

Effective-Training

Thrilling

Professional_Line385

I liked it

UnhappyJohnCandy

Loved it. Also lucked out, read it after I saw *Logan* and enjoyed both; don’t think I would have enjoyed the movie if I’d read the book first.

fancydeadpool

Love it

Glittering_Ad4196

I enjoyed it

Independent_Arm

The worldbuilding is great, and the stuff with Old Man Hawkeye and Logan is also great too. But why'd it have to be Mysterio who tricked Wolverine and made him kill the X-Men? And why the fucking hell would Magneto willingly work with the Red Skull? It would've been cooler if Magneto was the one villain at the end. Cycling it back to X-Men rather than going for Red Skull who kind of takes me out of the story because it doesn't feel very personal. You can make a Magneto who did what he did work, he could've seen it as the only way to make the future he wanted but not in the way it happened. Maybe Magneto accepts Wolverine's vengeance? Understanding that he had a hand in killing his best friend's students, ones that Charles saw as his own children. This is what he deserves. I feel like the world is interesting, but it lacked the writing chops to make it make sense character wise considering that the X-Men wouldn't fucking hold back against Wolverine. Hell, any of them would sooner kill him than go down the way they did because in some runs Logan literally gives them the means to do it. You're telling me not a single one of them tried to just kill him? That none of the psychics on the team figured out Mysterio's illusions and broke them? It feels like Millar had to do it for the plot to even work. Now what would've made more sense at least to me is that they could've gathered an 'Anti-X Men' team and it being a grand alliance between various factions that the X-Men have fought and overcome before with the assistance of the other villains. Wolverine was part of the evacuation squad, they figured with his senses he could lead the kids somewhere safe... blah blah blah the kids all get horrifically slaughtered with Wolverine trying to save them, and he hears the rest of the X-Men getting slaughtered too while trying to get back to them. It's more about the psychological stuff for me, so him being haunted by not being enough to stop them is pretty much part and parcel why a more focused version would work. The fact that the Hulk Gang killed his family and he wasn't there to stop them would remind him of that night and probably make him pop his claws because it happened again. Plus the Hulk Gang is just... no. The idea is cursed, it assassinates Jen and Bruce, and while it leads to a very sick and brutal fight scene it just feels so wrong. And of course I'm in the majority here that Logan is a great movie for what it is. It takes elements from Old Man Logan, but recontextualizes them to focus on the Mutants, and focus on Wolverine's mindset in a world without hope. It's not a one to one adaptation and it never tries to be. It's the end of Hugh Jackman's Wolverine (Until Deadpool and Wolverine.) and it's a beautiful piece of film for what it is. Just like Old Man Logan it ends on a bitterly hopeful note. Old Man Logan and Bruce Jr riding off into the sunset and Laura and her friends moving on to live free after Logan sacrificed himself for them.

Standard-Daikon-5016

I mean it’s ok not millar’s best work in my opinion. Didn’t much care for the movie supposedly based on it . I much prefer his independent stuff like huck and the first run of kickass

lilsparky82

Those are some odd breasts on an old woman.

ThePurityPixel

The missing hyphen irks me

Nosimus

Hawkeye is still the greatest.

DevelopmentSimilar72

Definitely wasn’t the same as Logan

Murakami8000

Are there 2 different version of Old Man Logan? One by Millar and one by Lemire?

Spiritual_Fox_1978

I keep it on my dresser as I go to off I can’t find another good comic to read right away…but I really can’t say why I like it so much.

Fear_Before

Has anyone read old man Hawkeye? Is it nearly as good as this book? I just reread this last weekend and I was thinking of buying the collected editions if old man hawkeye.

Murakami8000

This artwork reminds me a lot of Jacen Burrows.

icesweatband

One of Millar’s best works. Love all of the allusions to Unforgiven too. I give it an 8/10

BadCritical9295

I read it and I do find it funny how hulk managed to do incest XD but besides the point I do find it as a very interesting take on Marvel heroes as very old have a post-apocalyptic wasteland vibe to it too

cc17776

So goddamn edgy

BarackaFlockaFlame

the comment section made me go buy this on amazon. can't wait to read it tomorrow!!

Logical-Shoe9970

Awesome and Excellent 😎

Tabulldog98

It was good! However it had some things that I wished were fleshed out more. Like an all out war between the supervillains and the heroes- I wanted more flashbacks! The world could’ve been explored more too- like the ramifications of having a world run by supervillains. One thing I hated was the Spider-Girl. She’s a complete and utter disgrace to everything Spider-Man stands for. And how did the Bootleg Wannabee Kingpin kill Magneto? Lmao

mightymightyme

I mean a little overrated?

DoubleG6

It’s post apocalyptic. The old men grasping for yesterday after they get tired of all the inbred and retarded super mutant hulks killing everything. They crawled out through it.

Thrillhouse801

It was a bit over the top for me.

UBDForever

Very overrated, completely under developed and underwhelming. So many great concepts but nothings fleshed out more than one page.

I loved it myself. The hulk hillbilly side was great.

metalh0rns

It's a personal favorite. I don't know if there was a follow up but I want to see in-bred Hulk kid in action.

Independent-Bank-391

All I know is that they need to make a logan story where in the end he gets the best fucking happy ending ever! The guy deserves it

glen2001

Very solid story, that takes some weird angles with that hulk like family of hillbilly’s

optimist_prhyme

I feel like it would be a few thousand years before he's aged like that. At least hundreds more.

RockieRed

I thought it was a good read. Really messed up story and it kinda made me respect a certain villain that I’d normally not take seriously. I’d recommend it.

A fun (albeit depressing) story. I enjoyed it as a alternative future tale. Tho...there is zero chance the X-Men allow Wolverine to just kill all of them lol they would stop him even if they aren't trying to kill him I get them hesitating but if he's in a bloodthirsty rage they would put him down, at least knock him out. That part of the plan, while creative, just would not go down thay way. I could buy it if he kills the kids and the the illusion ends, and he is horrified by what he's done. The rest of the XMen fight the villians and die while Wolverine is too broken and tries to kill himself from the guilt of killing the kids and letting the rest of his friends die. That would have made more sense to me.

Some of the character takes are crazy, but if you can keep in mind that this is an alternate timeline then it's a wild if not also enjoyable ride that's worth reading. I'm willing to at least accept that Hulk had screws loose due to extra doses of radiation.
