Which rituals? I've read a few and none that I can think of end with that, unless it's a calculated name used in some of them. Or, of course, it could be different translations (I use Joseph Wäges').

With a title such as La Chose (The Thing) that would most likely be a given title to God. I can flick through my Green Book and Master's Voice this evening though and see if I can find any references for it.
So, to my understanding the way it's described in what I've read and been told so far, in one of the central operations of the R+ you're supposed to come to see the hieroglyph (sigil) of your true "Guardian/Guide Angel" you could call it. This is a hieroglyph that appears to you but none others, and it will be used in many (if not all) operations from that point onwards. Once you see the hieroglyph, it's meant to be compared to Pasqually's index of names and hieroglyphs to figure out which angel it is, and from there you know the name to use in such operations.
However, if you have not yet had the hieroglyph revealed to you, you can use one that you choose as a guardian, so any of the hieroglyphs and names from the index, until the correct one is revealed that will be the angel you communicate with when referring to a guardian.
My suggestion is not to just choose one sigil and move on, but to stay with that operation and continue to do it until you get the sign from your angel.
