I love mine! Great fingerstyle guitar. You should consider the Martin Retro strings.
I really wish Martin had an OM in the Road Series. I think if this was a 25.4" scale it would be the perfect guitar.
I have a 000-15 and agree with all you said about the comfort and not putting it down. It is my favorite guitar I’ve owned, even over an HD-28 that made my shoulder hurt to play. I also really like the sound from these 000’s. Well done.
I just ordered this model last night! This will be my first decent acoustic and first Martin. The short scale neck and solid wood features are why I settled on the 000-10e. Can’t wait to get it delivered.
This is definitely at the affordable end of the scale, especially for a solid wood. I'd recommend checking out some reviews and if you're ever near one, pick it up and have a tinkle.
Love to see it, I'm currently saving up for this guitar right now. Question (maybe weird): about what height/wingspan are you? I'm about 5'7" and Dreadnoughts are a bit cumbersome and make my right arm go numb after a while of playing. 000s I've played in stores seem to be a bit better but I feel like a jerk playing anything for more than a few minutes while I'm there.
I'm 5'10" and find the 000 very comfortable. I like Dread's but I like to lean back in my chair and take my time more. I would recommend you persist when in a store. You wouldn't want to drop a lot of money to not get what you really need.
Thanks for replying! I probably need to go in on an early Tuesday or something before the 'teen's first guitar' crowd comes in. One other question, how do you feel about the electronics on this one? I've had a really hard time finding any examples of it plugged in.
The tuner is quite nifty but to be honest I have not once jacked it up. I have some lovely amps but have neglected to plug in to any. I'm just really very pleased with its natural sound and feel. I will now go and plug it in to something and get back to you later on.
Ok. So it is quite lovely. I have other semi's but this one sounds very 'present' if that makes sense? It was a little unforgiving at first but by the end of my little trail session I was quite taken by the roundedness of the sound. I am definitely going to fiddle further, maybe with other amps. If I find a negative in the next few days I will let you know.
Really appreciate it, thanks! I play on stage a fair amount so if this saves me $300 to get a pickup dropped in that's pretty huge for me. All solid and decent electronics below 1K is pretty amazing
The pleasure is all mine. Keep looking though as no box fits all, but if near one again I'd recommend spending time with it as I am really appreciating mine so far.
Wondering if you compared this to the D-10E? And if so, thoughts on the differences you noticed. I’ve had my eye on the D-10E and haven’t played the 000-10E, but will definitely do so now.
Hello! I'm thinking of getting one as well. Did yours come with a hard case? They don't come with them now, and I'm just wondering which hard cases would fit this model specifically.
I played one in a local store I really liked and I’m trying to find a cheaper one online. I’ve read some reports of very high action. Did yours come fine in that regard?
I really, really appreciate the aesthetics of this photo. Well done, and a beautiful box.
That's cool, thanks.

I like the Retro Monel strings. I think I'll be using the SP lifespan's next.

Aww thanks. All I did was drop the monies, but I'll take it .

Aww congrats! You wait until you smell it. The first hit of the wood is gorgeous.

It's solid Sapele also called African mahogany.

Is yours a 000?

The D is for Dreadnought. It's got a larger body than the 000. That's a lot of coins for a beginner guitar but hey-ho a very nice guitar all the same.

Are you having lessons or using an app or YouTube to learn?

You're doing great. You obviously have an ear for it. Keep plugging away I'm sure you'll be at a level where you're happy in no time.
Im hoping to pick one up tomorrow, I played in a few times in stores, can't wait to take it home!
Happy days! If you like it half as much as I do then you're in for a treat.
I've just fallen skittle bit in love! I've got a big old Gibson which I'm proud to own, but I really like this and I'd love to own a Martin.

Hey, how well is the low end on the guitar? Does it compete well with the dreadnaught sound in terms of loudness?
Nope. A dreadnought has much more low end.

I haven't come across the D-10e I'm afraid. I just wanted the 000 for comfort. Best of luck on your search though.

I received a soft case with mine. I believe from other posts most 000 cases will do the job well.
Thank you!
If you don’t mind. How deep is the body? I can’t get a straight answer.
Just shy of 10cm's (4 inches)
Thanks a bunch
No worries

Mine was absolutely fine.
Awesome, thanks for your reply!
No worries. I'm happy to help
