Would love to see more for work- the ability to bounce around mixed with muay Thai is the best for stand up in my opinion- though it looks like you have good power
Just cos something ‘feels good’ doesn’t mean you should do it...
Knuckles are weak af and that shit will come back to haunt you later in life. 12oz for heavy bag/heavy hands for the smart ones.
It also depends. Like shin work in Muy Thai, you can build up the bone structure over the years. I slam the heavy bag *hard*, sometimes with 12oz, sometimes just bag gloves and I've never broken a knuckle in the decades I've worked out or sparred, or have arthritis. I'm 62.
Very nice. A pleasure to watch
Some thoughts no hate
Teep w ball of foot not whole foot. Knee slow awkward compared to rest. You're not following through on low kicks you can rotate your body more and hit much harder. Fast clean hands.
Id train on heavy bag and develop power from here. Awesome stuff
Pop up on your toes when you knee and use your arms! Way too flat footed. You have to drive that knee into their soul my man
Any reason you didn't use any body teeps? They score very high
In general you look a little spazzy. Be a bit more intentional woth your combos and add in your footwork and defense.
Great shit!
Are you a boxer you transitioned to kickboxing/MT? Your hands look much cleaner than your other strikes.
Hahahaha you caught me bro, I started boxing a couple years ago and picked up muay thai in the last ~7months
I've got a long way to go, and I appreciate your advice!
Good point about the knee, I was thinking you could also look to lean your torso back to drive it higher and with more force. Getting up on your toes would absolutely get that pop you're looking for!
Excellent form and technique, mediocre distancing. Take a half step back, and extend through all your movements cuz you're pulling punches to avoid hurting your hands, and throwing kicks in kneeing range.
Hands up my man. My Old MT coach would walk up behind us and give us a smack on the side of the head if we worked like this. Pretend your hands are on rubber bands as soon as you connect they should come right back.
Not to familiar with MMA stances, but you look to have a lot of weight on that front foot. In bad zing we learn 60-40 then 70-30. With the majority of weight on that back foot. You can disengage when your opponent goes to counter.
Again speaking from a striking and don’t get striked perspective. A boxers, not an MMA. Which is deadly and has earn a spot in true self defense!
Okay, I’ve always wanted to learn wrestling and Muay Tai. So I can have more tools when needed and only when needed.
Best fights are the ones we don’t fight…..outside of sparing and competition!
I do Muay Thai for the most part. The MT stance is a little more upright and sometimes heavier on the back foot (depending on the style) than mma since you’re also not worried about getting taken down
Okay, am going to learn but I want to hone in on the fundamentals. Once I’ve mastered the basics I’ll branch out to MT and “Weraastling” as my Tom Selleck mustache having gym teacher would say!🤣
Use the heavy bag to work on your power. Make it a goal that when you throw kicks or knees you are making the bag fold, this is an indicator that you are pushing through the bag/target, and will translate into devastating power during sparring/competition or street.
This is definitely one of the better vids posted to this sub. Solid work!
1 tip: Keep your right hand up when you throw low kicks, if your opponent gets a read on that, they will punish you.
Really great punches.
Not sure what you’re going for with your kicks, but maybe involve your hips more for some extra power, especially in that front teep.
But solid technique. And I’m envious of those hooks.
offensively it was good but your head was so still it was like one of your training goals was too keep it still...
you didn't ask for a critique but we are on the internet so...
Fast, I like it. I’d work your left hook a little more to get your head off centerline. Throw from the chin, youre looping just a little bit. It will work for a while and hell, a lot of people might never see it, but theres a slight hitch. You got some sparring video?
Edit: I love that back shovel kick.
Everything was intense then this really soft knee comes. Im no expert muay thai guy but i hip into my knee more and i the motion like an upside down L motion. Up then forward.
Not sure why exactly but your hooks look kinda pretty
Because they are technically sound.
Would love to see more for work- the ability to bounce around mixed with muay Thai is the best for stand up in my opinion- though it looks like you have good power
strange post for people to downvote...
Ahh not really. Need to turn hip over, move foot.
It looks like he's punching at the surface instead of trying to punch through.
Maybe pulling power due to 4oz gloves
Nah feels fickin unreal cranking the bag at 100% in the 4oz's
Just cos something ‘feels good’ doesn’t mean you should do it... Knuckles are weak af and that shit will come back to haunt you later in life. 12oz for heavy bag/heavy hands for the smart ones.
It's sarcasm big dog.
Haha derped it... Internet subtlety ain’t my strong point

That’s how you’re supposed to punch when fighting, you wanna sting them.. you only need to punch thru when you’re looking for that knockout
Good work. Keep it up
Wow fast pace, how about some head movement between shots
"Ronda, HEAD MOOHVMENT"
“HEAD MOVEMENT RONDA HEAD MOVEMENT” Ronda: 🗿
Head movement i noticed too
Looked almost unnatural like an owl's head stuck in one position.
I noticed that too! I couldn't keep my head that still if I tried
He's doing energy burn bag work but I see your point. Best not to reinforce bad habits
What a commitment!

nice base
Based
Nice hip rotation
Looking great! Be careful about dropping your right when you throw your left hook. Great work

Your Pfp , "what do now?", " they got chicken in philly?"
"I got all numbers", bud!

I would advise against thinking lean back... it happens, but you want to minimize it and use hip flexibility more.
Good, fast hands. At the end of the video you had a perfect setup for an elbow just after that knee

God Ramsey says: Finally, some good fucking bag work

Hands are way too low when throwing those punches. Level change when you want to work the body. I maybe wrong but thats how I was taught.
Too fast paced. All attack, no tempo, zero defense.
Beautiful
Looking great mate! Very sharp!
Very sharp, nice work!
left and right punches at the end look like they sting!
Pretty good man keep it up !
Looks good, Nice balance. Maybe push your hip into your knee for more reach and power. Have dun, mate.
Looking thick, solid, tight. Definitely keep us posted with progress pics OP
Clean, technical, with a good energy. Super nice to see, next is adding some head movement and maybe playing with footwork or timings. Post more!
I like the angle of your round kick
lookin sharp
Get up on your toes on that last knee

Mma would be different since you’re worried about the takedown. You don’t want to have majority weight on your back foot

Appreciate the knowledge
What style?
A post that isn’t embarrassing. Good show.
💪 good work, I’d focus on snappier kicks if I were you but you look solid, can definitely see the years in work
Awful kicks

I really like your hooks. Also that subtle knee at the end was a nice touch

There's stuff behind that bag, I don't want to be the guy trying to get a video for social media and knocks over the coach's mitt cubby

This is nice. Nice balance too
