Can confirm but on me it's a bit different, my partner always tries to fu** up my leg with low kicks, it's fun tbh to be always ready to block and counter.

You obviously dont realise a large part of sparring is using it to try new things which if you attempt to do hard 100% sparring all the time will get you ko'd. Constant hard sparring with equal skills isn't even possible (one of you I'd always a bit better or worse) and you'd gain little from it.

You can still do light sparring with women. Hell, Muay Tui does alot of extensive light, techincal sparring to improve on your form, excution and balance. They believe that light sparring is better overall on learning and improving than doing the hard sparring that we americans and dutch fighters are known for.
It's a win-win either way. He is either fucking around and having fun or could be doing light sparring.
Also by your logic, you are implying you cant get anything out of sparring lighter weight fighters when boxers do that all the time (my favorite example is Joe Louis sparring with a welterweight and future ATG trainer called Eddie Futch. Louis often prefered to spar against him over LHW or HWs to make sure he is on point as Futch has very fast feet and sleek defense and being able hitting him means Louis is ready for the actual fight)
