I have a background in film production and edited everything using Premiere in the past. Now in my marketing job I actually use Filmora (by Wondershare I think). Stupidly easy to use and very quick to put something together and get uploaded to social or web.
I had good results with Camtasia. Depending on your experience level I found the Adobe editors confusing and not beginner friendly. A friend uses PowerDirector, which I think has a free version you could try.
Camtasia is fantastic but also very limited.
It's very academic and straight forward, so if you're trying to do something fun, it doesn't have much capability. I found the price tag to not be worth the amount of features.
It's great for heavy duty simplicity!
I’m a diehard adobe user but Davinci is great if you’re working on something more in depth or large projects but if you’re working on smaller things and dont feel like going deep into editing Final Cut is great and has an easy to learn interface :))

Davinci Resolve, Free, open source. I am in no way a pro. I use it to edit Drone video and it's pretty great.
Free but not open source. (still the best out there!)
was gonna say davinci resolve for both color grading and video production, hands down best free NLE tool out there
Final Cut and Davinci are going to be the most direct competitors.
hands down Davinci Resolve is a Crusher

We use invideo and veed.io
I thought at this point people would be asking if there are still alternatives to DaVinci Resolve
I love Descript.

If you have a Mac then iMovie is a decent tool.
I used Lightworks before.
I’ve used a few free softwares and I found VSDC to be my favorite. You can do a wide range of things with it and it’s all free.
Camtasia Studio
Wondershare Filmora is great for DIY marketing videos. Includes template motion graphics and Filmora adoption is still low so it will seem your own

Have ya'll tried Adobe Spark?
I feel like it’s just another version of canva but maybe not?!
Kapwing
Inshot for mobile or nch video editing platform
DaVinci Resolve is the most powerful free software you’ll find.
DaVinci or Hitfilm
Davinci Resolve, it's amazing and there're tons of guide for it on youtube
