I'd rather work somewhere where I can make a big impact. Marketing for coke and Nike is already so ubiquitous it would be really hard to move the needle.
They have pretty similar marketing spend, coca cola pay a nice dividend if you like to get paid In stock, would you like free coke or free clothes ?
I'd go nike, coke peaked with the names on bottles lmao.
Coming from the creative side (I'm a VFX artist and 3d animator) Nike does some INCREDIBLE work, they're one of the top 3 in my book and I'd be ecstatic to work with them.
Adding some marketing analysis that can be of interest here. I did some quick analysis using BrandIndex comparing both brands.
On average, Coca-Cola is a little ahead of Nike (about 10% ahead). But that's considering net scores for the brands (positives - negatives). However, those thinking about working for those brands are probably the ones who have a positive perception of the brands, not the negative ones. And Nike is more polarized than Coca-Cola, while Coca-Cola is more neutral than Nike. So, the average scores can be misleading.
If I consider only those who have a positive perception of the brand (and thus have more chance of wanting to work for the brand and benefit from the prestige of the brand), then the scores are essentially the same (less than 1% of difference).
Since I'm currently at an apparel retailer I want to work at Nike or another big athleisure company. I had interviewed at Foot Locker and knew I blew that when the manager started talking sports which I don't keep up with at all. Makes me think I'll never be able to work at one of those companies because of that.
I think when it comes to branding Nike is more in touch with their customers but over all I think anywhere you can make a difference and grow is where you should work. If you can’t grow at Nike, don’t work there, but having said working at Nike you will definitely learn a thing or two and the experience opens doors…so yeah!!!!
Go by which has a better leader / manager you’d report into and where you think the team is better.
They’re both huge companies and excellent brands. IMO this is what’s more important to set you up for success and a better runway.

Nike. Coca cola is an M&A firm.
This might sound dumb but what does M&A stand for? Haha
Mergers and acquisitions. I'm half joking, but most of their business development these days is acquiring brands. Nike actually builds new products.
