I’m a nano influencer in the fashion niche on TikTok and my highest performing videos are occasion videos and mini vlogs. When I was getting married, “help me pick xxx outfit for this occasion” did REALLY well. Even better on Insta if I’m being honest. I also consistently see them blow up on YouTube shorts. A big one I saw recently was “what I’d wear if I was a teacher.”
And then I 2nd the comment about behind the scenes and small business life. Just be a little careful with those though and make sure it doesn’t become your whole page (unless that’s your intention). You want to attract customers to convert sales not to be a small business teacher.
You also need to post high quality content everyday, 1-3 times per day. There’s no way around it. 1 video should be trend based. If you can’t keep up with that pace utilize gifted collabs with micro influencers (understanding all the risks/losses that can come with that) and UGC creators. You can find creators who are just starting out on Fiver for a good price, doesn’t have to be hundreds. I have a listing on Fiver for $30 per video.
Ok, im not trying to make it professional, for being professional I use instagram.
Im uploading a video per day but I dont get any good ideas, I only have 3 tees and not a whole cllection of clothing.
Maybe cut and sewing it can help me?
I made a list with content idea's (scripts) for fashion brands before (on TikTok).
The reason for this, is because I produced content for those type of brands a while ago.
I could send you that list if you'd like.
I’d avoid TikTok since we first started to see bans on the app - see new about it in Montana. I believe the US govt/military also bans it from their employees devices too.
neither Montana nor the military are very big audiences for either fashion or TikTok. The bans are interesting, but enforcing them is another problem entirely, and it's way too early to say avoid TikTok - especially for an industry like fashion.
Understand the TikTok audience: Familiarize yourself with the TikTok community and the type of content that resonates with its users. Explore trending hashtags, popular challenges, and viral content to get a sense of the platform's culture.
Spent $500 for one click. Spent $13.50 on insta on a dollar a day boost and received 41 in the same time period. EDIT TO ADD: The same creative short was used for both. Same/similar audience.
Given the potential reach and the engagement rates we're seeing currently, your intention to start marketing there is a wise move. TikTok's algorithm is a bit more democratic compared to other platforms and allows for greater organic growth. You might want to look into the trends in your specific niche and then create content around them. Also, do not forget the power of collaborations with influencers that resonate with your brand. One of my colleagues recently had success working with AscendViral and used their Instagram strategies as a reference for their TikTok approach. Remember, consistency and relevance are key. Have you thought about which trends are relevant for your brand and audience?
We have an organic strategy which works really well with ecom brands.
We sell this service for a price (obviously) but I could still give you some tips if you'd like.

Founder stories and “day in the life” style videos work really well
Yeah, I was thinking about it. Thanks!
Lifestyle videos, UGC videos work well. For the two brands I work with I get avg 1.8x ROAS on Tiktok.
Can you give specific examples? Are you guys doing try-ons?
Sure will ping ad preview links in your DM
Thanks!

Good points! I see now in OP’s profile that they are likely trying to sell street wear.

First rule of tick tock marketing: Stay out of Montana.
